Tommy Baldwin Racing will field a second car for five Sprint Cup Series races this season.

Geoffrey Bodine will pilot the No. 35 Luke Associates, Inc. Chevrolet for all five events, starting with the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona July 2nd. He will return to the Luke Associates, Inc.-sponsored Chevrolet at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Texas Motor Speedway and the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

With a lineup featuring former Sprint Cup Series champions, last year's Chase field, former outstanding rookies, along with previous winners at Daytona, NASCAR announced the list of eligible competitors for the February 12, 2011 Budweiser Shootout at Daytona.

Geoff Bodine made the list as the winner of the 1986 Daytona 500 and as winner of the 1992 Shootout.

In the midst of a news conference for the Legends Million, Geoff Bodine revealed he would attempt to make the field for next week's Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway in a [#36] Chevrolet fielded by Tommy Baldwin.

Bodine, 61, last started a Cup race in 2004 and last raced full time in the series in 1999. He has 18 Cup wins. Bodine also will compete for a share of the $1 million purse in the Legends Million, scheduled for July 15-17 at Charlotte. The winner of the A-Main feature in the world's most lucrative race for Legends Cars will earn $250,000.-jayski.com

Team Gill Racing has announced that Geoff Bodine will be driving its No. 95 Dodge Ram at the Camping World Truck Series event on March 6th in Atlanta.

Bodine will return to Atlanta Motor Speedway where his name remains in the record books. Bodine's speed of 197.478 mph during the NASACAR Sprint Cup qualifying in November of 1997 is the fastest one-lap speed ever recorded at Atlanta Motor Speedway. While Team Gill Racing continues searching for a full season sponsor, they plan to add a salute to the U.S.A. Geoff Bodine takes over the No. 64 Toyota this weekend for the Kobalt Tools 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Geoff shares the ride in the Gunselman Motorsports Toyota with his brother Todd Bodine. Geoff holds the standing Atlanta track qualifying record of 197.479 mph which he set on November 16, 1997. He is a 3-time pole winner at AMS. If he makes the field, it will be his 38th Cup start at this track (first since 2000).

Larry Gunselman is the latest to make an attempt at the Cup Series dream in 2009 as (he) has formed a team for himself and a pair of veteran brothers, Geoff and Todd Bodine.

Gunselman is the principal in the team that will field No. 64 Toyotas. (Todd) Bodine is the 2006 Truck Series champion, who also has 15 wins in the Nationwide Series and 228 Cup starts, with five poles, seven top-five and 21 top-10 finishes. Geoff Bodine, who won the 1986 Daytona 500, 18 Cup races, six in the Nationwide Series and hundreds of Modified races -- but who hasn't made a NASCAR national touring start since 2005, when he made eight starts in the Nationwide Series, may run at Daytona.
