A native son of Austin, Texas, Austin Wayne Self (No. 22 AM Technical Solutions Toyota Tundra), will make his second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Texas Motor Speedway.

Self, who sat out during last week’s Martinsville race, finished 13th in June in his first ever race at Texas Motor Speedway. Excited for his homecoming, Self will reunite with his team with a strong supporting cast in his corner. Joining AM Racing and Self at Texas will be a large contingency of supporters from his primary partner, AM Technical Solutions. Sid Miller, the Texas Agriculture Commissioner along with a group from Texas based Four Escobar’s BBQ Sauce will also be on hand to pull for Self and AM Racing.

Veteran NASCAR crew chief Marc Browning has been hired to head the #22 team's at-track efforts with driver Austin Wayne Self in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for the 2016 season.

Browning, a native of Dundee, MI, has a background rich with experience in the upper levels of NASCAR, including a stint as a member of Kyle Busch's Sprint Cup Series crew at Joe Gibbs Racing. He has also worked with numerous other drivers including Johnny Sauter, Landon Cassill and Parker Kligerman as a crew chief in the NCWTS and XFINITY Series. Browning is no stranger to Self or AM Racing, as he was Self's crew chief when Self won at Winchester in the ARCA Racing Series last season.(AM Racing)-jayski.com

Austin-based AM Technical Solutions (AMTS), a leading construction management, project management and facility solutions firm for high-tech markets, has been a primary partner of Texas native Self’s for five seasons, including his Rookie of the Year campaign in the ARCA Racing Series in 2014 and his runner-up finish in the ARCA championship points standings (including a win at Winchester) last season. AM Racing is proud to announce it has tabbed 19-year old Austin Wayne Self as the driver of the newly formed team’s No. 22 Toyota Tundra.

Self will compete in all 23 races on the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule and compete for the Rookie of the Year honor. Self is coming off competing the last two seasons in the ARCA Racing Series where he earned one win (Winchester 2015), finished second in the championship points in the 2015 season, won the S&S Volvo Most Laps Completed Award Winner and was the 2014 ARCA Scott Rookie of the Year. He also collected 13 Top-Five’s and 30 Top-10 finishes in his 45 career starts in the ARCA Racing Series.-AM Racing
