Gregg Mixon has reunited with his former NASCAR Nationwide business partner James Whitner of Bakersfield, CA. to form JGL Racing running two cars full-time in the Nationwide Series.
JGL has purchased Penske cars and will be utilizing the Penske Engine Lease program. The team is proud to announce It's driver line up for the Drive4COPD 300 at Daytona. Former Daytona winner Mike Wallace will be behind the wheel of the No. 28. Mike's teammate will be Travis Carter's son Matt Carter driving the No. 93. Matt Carter makes the most improvement in the Nationwide Series after this weekend’s race.

His 17th place finish in the Great Clips 300 was 24 places better than his last NNS finish. This earned the No. 39 driver a $2,400 check and the Featherlite "Most Improved Driver" award. Carter, who made 10 of the 26 races so far this season, moved up 11 spots to 46th in the 2011 Nationwide Series point standings.

Matt Carter does not qualify for the September 25th Nationwide Series Dover 200 at Dover Int’l Speedway.

One of the ‘go-or-go-homers’ required to qualify on speed, he ran a 47th fastest lap in the No. 82. This was not good enough to make the 43-car field.

Matt Carter, driver of the No. 61 for Specialty Racing, fought through a bad cold throughout the weekend event at Kansas Speedway, as the team finished 27th in the Kansas Lottery 300.

Carter ultimately had to go to the infield care center around the mid-point of the race. Driver Chase Miller stepped in to take over for Carter and finish the race for the team.

Matt Carter makes the most improvement in the Nationwide Series after this weekend’s race.

Carter’s 12th place finish in the Nationwide Series Food City 250 was 14 places better than his last NNS finish. This earned the No. 61 Specialty Racing Ford driver the Featherlite "Most Improved Driver" award. Carter who made 9 of the 24 races so far this season moved up five spots to 45th in the 2009 Nationwide Series point standings after this event.

Specialty Racing Driver Matt Carter finished 19th in Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers 250 at Gateway International Raceway, his second top-20 finish in three races.

Since re-joining the team on June 24th in preparation for the Loudon race, Carter has improved the average start, mid-race and finishing positions for Specialty Racing.

Specialty Racing is proud to announce that Matt Carter will immediately take over the driving duties of the No. 61 Ford in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Carter, who replaces Brandon Whitt, will make his debut with the team this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the running of the Camping World RV Sales 200 presented by Turtle Wax. Carter will be making his second career start in the NNS with his lone other start being with Specialty Racing during the 2007 season. He also has one career start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and 22 career starts in the ARCA RE/MAX Series where he finished third in the final point standings last season.
