NASCAR has reinstated driver Jeremy Clements upon the successful completion of stipulations following his indefinite suspension from NASCAR on Feb. 27 for violating the sanctioning body’s Code of Conduct policy.
Clements will be on NASCAR probation until Sept. 13, 2013. "As part of the requirements for reinstatement, Jeremy Clements participated in an individualized program with Dr. Richard Lapchick and his staff at the National Consortium for Academics and Sports," said Steve O’Donnell, NASCAR senior vice president of racing operations. "In Dr. Lapchick and his staff’s judgment, Jeremy has successfully completed the program. Jeremy Clements, a driver in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s Code of Conduct.

On Feb. 23 at Daytona, Clements was found to have violated Sections 7-5 (NASCAR’s Code of Conduct) and 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing). "During the course of an interview, Jeremy Clements made an intolerable and insensitive remark," said Steve O’Donnell, NASCAR senior vice president of racing operations. "NASCAR has a Code of Conduct that’s explicitly spelled out in the 2013 NASCAR Rule Book. We fully expect our entire industry to adhere to that Code."-NASCAR PR

Jeremy Clements makes the most improvement in the Nationwide Series after this weekend’s race.

His 16th place finish in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge was 19 places better than his last NNS finish. This earned the No. 51 Chevrolet driver a $2,600 check and the Featherlite "Most Improved Driver" award. Clements is 14th in the 2012 Nationwide Series point standings.

Clements drove the No. 4 Chevrolet in this race. His regular No. 51 Chevrolet was piloted by Camping World Truck Series rookie, Ty Dillon, for just this race. After a successful run at Daytona (16th place) and the Featherlite Award for most improved driver, Jeremy and the team are heading to Phoenix for the Bashas Supermarkets 200. The team will be staying out west to continue on to Vegas for the Sams Town 300 on March 5th.

Jeremy Clements’ qualifying speed was not good enough to make the field for the Nationwide Series Great Clips 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

He ran a lap of 172.340 mph in the No. 04. It was 41st quickest but not quick enough to make the field for the event.

Jeremy Clements will miss the July 9th Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 at Chicagoland Speedway.

The team is outside the top 30 in owner’s points and not guaranteed a start in this weekend’s NNS race. The No. 04 driver’s qualifying speed of 173.891 mph, 29th fastest, was not good enough to make the cut for the event.
