Tim George Jr. gets the last qualifying slot open to teams outside of the top 25 in owner points for the Camping World Truck Series race.

His lap of 93.102 mph in the No. 5 truck was 31st fastest in qualifying. He will line up 36th at the green flag for the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway.

Tim George Jr. and Wauters Motorsports in the No. 5 Applebee’s Racing Ford F150 will try their hand on the .526-mile paperclip shaped track in hopes of their first victory Saturday, April 6, 2013.

George and Wauters Motorsports took advantage of testing at the tricky little track last week in hopes to improve their chances in the Kroger 250 NCWTS race. Wauters in his tenure as Camping World Truck Series crew chief has three top-five and seven- top-10 finishes at Martinsville Speedway but is shy of that one victory to bring home the grandfather clock given to the winner. Team owner Richie Wauters and driver Tim George Jr. were both looking around for a dance partner for the NEXTERA Energy Resources 250 on Friday, February 22.

Enter former NASCAR driver and past Daytona winner (1985 Firecracker 400) Greg Sacks who brought along his red-hot Grand Touring Vodka (GTV) brand and business partner – music mogul Bryan "Birdman" Williams. The stage was set for a victory lane party. "To have a partnership with Greg Sacks is sweet," said Wauters. "Greg is one of the best superspeedway drivers of all time. He suggested we put Tim in the truck. We’ll have a great Ford ready for Tim and our plan is to score big with the GTV Ford powered by Applebee’s."George Jr. is no stranger to the Florida superspeedway with one NASCAR Nationwide Series and three ARCA Racing Series starts on the legendary track. This will be his first start on the Daytona high banks in the Camping World Truck Series.-Wauters Motorsports

Tim George Jr. will make his first start at the 1.5-mile Homestead-Miami Speedway in the Camping World Truck Series this weekend in the 2012 season-finale race.

This weekend's event at the Homestead, Fla.-based facility is the last of George's 12 scheduled races on the 2012 schedule. So far this season, the RCR driver earned one pole award at Kansas Speedway (April), one top-10 finish and completed 93.8 percent (1,524 of 1,625) of the contested laps. Tim George Jr. will make his first appearance at Martinsville Speedway in the Camping World Truck Series.

George will pilot the No. 93 Chevrolet with the familiar Applebee's/Potomac Family Dining Group colors this weekend in the Kroger 200, instead of the No. 2 Chevrolet. Crew chief Gere Kennon will call the shots for George and his RCR pit crew will service the truck during the 200-lap affair.-Richard Childress Racing

The New York City native has four starts at the track in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards earning one top-10 finish, a 15.2 average starting position and a 13.5 average finishing position. Tim George Jr. wins the Keystone Light Pole award in the Camping World Truck Series SFP 250 at Kansas Speedway.

His lap of 172.436 mph in the No. 2 Chevrolet was good to earn the $2,300 award. He finished the race in 17th place. George, who made two of the four races so far this season, is 28th in the 2012 NCWTS point standings.
