After a competitive Combine event last October, six drivers were selected to the 2016 NASCAR Drive for Diversity® (D4D) class and will join the industry’s premier development program for multicultural and female drivers, and pit crew members.
Rev Racing will field four teams in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and two in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The 2016 D4D roster includes 2015 NASCAR Mexico Series champion Ruben Garcia Jr. At age 20, the Mexico City native won four races in the NASCAR Mexico Series en route to his first NASCAR championship. He brings his talents to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for his rookie season with Rev Racing. Other members are Colin Cabre, Jairo Avila, Ali Kern, Enrique Baca and Juan Garcia. Rubén García Jr. (#88 Canels - Scotiabank - HDI Toyota) finished fifth in the November 22nd NASCAR Mexico Series season-ending RedCo 240 at Súper Óvalo Chiapas in Chiapas, Mexico.

In 2015, Garcia Jr. scored three wins (June 28 and October 4th at El Dorado Speedway; and November 7th at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez), four poles, eight top-fives, 12 top-10s, earned 1213 points and closed out the season as the 2015 NASCAR Mexico Series Champion, 18 points ahead of runner-up Ruben Rovelo.

The day after turning 20, rising NASCAR star Rubén García Jr. completed his birthday weekend in style as he celebrated the 2015 NASCAR Mexico Series championship.

The Mexico City driver drove the No. 88 Canels/Scotiabank/HDI Toyota to a fifth-place finish in the season-ending Red Co 240 at Súper Óvalo Chiapas to cap the five-race Desafio with the Mexico's national championship. García had three wins and 13 top-five finishes in 15 races. He won the first race of the Desafio, and held first-place throughout the five-race playoff. He entered the finale with a nine-point lead over Rubén Rovelo, who finished 14th, and 27 over 2013 champion Rodrigo Peralta.

Rubén García Jr. nearly saw his championship dreams come to a crashing halt. In the end, however, the 19-year-old NASCAR Next driver wound up in Victory Lane and maintained his position atop the NASCAR Mexico Series.

His victory in Saturday's Red Cola 240 at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez was his third of the year and second of the five-race Desafio. García's No. 88 Canels/Scotiabank/HDI Toyota led just four laps all day but was able to get past teammate Rafael Martinez with three laps to go to secure the victory. Luis Felipe Montaño finished third, followed by Rubén Pardo and rookie Manolín Gutiérrez.

Rubén García Jr. (#88 Canels - Scotiabank - HDI Toyota) finished fourth in the Sunday, October 18, NASCAR Mexico Series Desafio Deportivo 240 at Autódromo Internacional de Aguascalientes and retains the championship lead.

He completed all laps of the 171 lap event. Garcia's top-five finish was good enough to maintain his lead in the 2015 NMS championship standings, four points ahead of Ruben Rovelo (finished third in the race).

Rubén García Jr. (No. 88 Canels-Scotiabank-HDI Toytota) won the NASCAR Mexico Series Coca-Cola Zero 240 at the El Dorado Speedway in Chihuahua, Mexico on Monday (postponed from Sunday due to heavy rain).

No. 18 Rafael Martínez, No. 20 Homer Richards and No. 11 Hugo Oliveras round out the top-five in this race. With victory, Garcia Jr. takes over the lead in the 2015 NMS Championship standings. He leads Irwin Vences by four points.-NASCAR Mexico Series

Rubén García Jr. (No. 88 Canels - Scotiabank - HDI Toyota) finished 15th in Sunday's NASCAR Mexico Series Amozoc 240 at Autódromo Miguel E. Abed in Puebla, Mexico.

He completed all laps of the 120 scheduled in the ninth race of the season. Garcia is currently fourth in the 2015 NMS Championship standings.

Ruben Garcia Jr. was out front nearly all Sunday at El Dorado Speedway en route to his second career NASCAR Mexico Series victory.

The 19-year-old NASCAR Next driver qualified second in his No. 88 Canel’s/Scotiabank/HDI Toyota for the Coca-Cola Zero 240, which concluded at 232 laps upon reaching the two-hour time limit. Garcia held off a number of late challengers, including championship points leader Irwin Vences. Vences settled for second and remains nine points ahead of Ruben Pardo, who finished third. Rodrigo Peralta and Luis Felipe Montano finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

On May 5th at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC, 12 drivers were formally announced as the NASCAR Next Class of 2015, a group of up-and-coming talent that joins the industry program aimed at spotlighting NASCAR’s emerging stars.

Drivers must be between the ages of 15-25, have tangible and expressed goals in eventual competition in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and demonstrate the potential to realize that goal. Each driver in NASCAR Next must be actively competing in a NASCAR touring or weekly series. It's difficult to award a former Rookie of the Year (2012) and championship contender (fourth in the final standings in 2013) as the top breakout performer on the season, but for the second consecutive year, Ruben García Jr. found himself within striking distance of the series championship heading into the final event of the season.

Racing with a new team, the 18-year-old was the runner-up in the championship standings after an accident in the season finale ruined his chance at overtaking Abraham Calderón for the series crown.
