He started the No. 88 HDI Seguros/Vonhaucke Toyota 10th on the grid for the Queretana 200. He is currently 11th in the 2014 NMTS point standings after this event.

18-year-old NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series regular Ruben Garcia Jr. announced that he will return to the NASCAR Nationwide series on Friday, June 27 to participate in the John R. Elliott Hero Campaign 300 at Kentucky Speedway.

García Jr. will run with the Rick Ware Racing Team in what will be his third start with the series. In addition to gaining seat time in a NASCAR national series, García Jr. is also out to show NASCAR officials that he is capable of running at all NASCAR tracks with the series.

Ruben Garcia Jr. has been called in and asked by SR2 Motorsport to drive the #24 Toyota in the NASCAR Nationwide Series during the events this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway.

The teenager has run full time in the NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series for the past two seasons, winning the Aguascalientes 240 in May of 2013. In 2013, Ruben made his first career start at Phoenix International Raceway, starting 11th and finishing 3rd. Garcia Jr. notched three top-fives and eleven top-ten finishes during the 2013 season, finishing third in the final NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series points standings.-SR2 Motorsports
