Nelson Piquet Jr. will make his first career NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Darlington Raceway on Friday night, having only previously raced at the 1.366-mile track in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Piquet on his return to Darlington: "I am looking forward to going to Darlington this weekend. We had a two-day test there a couple weeks ago, and I learned a lot. My guys are working hard, and I look forward to going to Darlington and coming home with a great finish."-Turner Scott Motorsports

Nelson Piquet Jr., along with No. 2 car driver Brian Scott, have been placed on NASCAR probation until June 26 for violating Section 12-1 and their involvement in an on-track altercation with their two cars after the race had concluded.

Crew chiefs Chris Carrier (No. 30 car) and Phil Gould (No. 2 car) have likewise been placed on NASCAR probation until June 26 as a result of the on-track incident between their two drivers.

Nelson Piquet Jr. will be making his first career Nationwide Series start at Richmond on Friday night, having only previously raced at the 0.75-mile short track in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race last fall where he finished 17th.

The No. 30 Delavaco team will have chassis TSM-335 for this Friday's race at Richmond (previously used at Phoenix and Bristol). Making his first career NNS start at Texas two weeks ago, he was able to drive to an 18th-place finish.-Turner Scott Motorsports

Nelson Piquet Jr. will make his first career NNS start at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday night, having only previously raced at the 1.5-mile oval in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Piquet Jr., however, is no stranger to success in the Lone Star state with one pole, three top-five and four top-10 finishes to his credit. This Week's Camaro... The No. 30 WORX team will have chassis TSM-319 for this Friday's race at Texas Motor Speedway. It was announced today that Nelson Piquet Jr. will pilot Turner Scott Motorsports' fourth entry in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway.

Piquet Jr., who is running full-time in the Nationwide Series for Turner Scott Motorsports in 2013, will drive the No. 30 Wolf Pack Energy Services Chevrolet Silverado in the Kroger 250. Chris Carrier will be calling the shots from atop the pit box. Piquet has four previous NCWTS starts in Martinsville, with a best finish of second (fall of 2012). He has three top-15 finishes at the 0.526-mile paper clip, including two back-to-back top-10 finishes last year.-Turner Scott Motorsports

Nelson Piquet Jr. is the top rookie qualifier for the Nationwide Series Royal Purple 300 at Auto Club Speedway.

His lap of 176.869 mph in the No. 30 Chevrolet was fifth fastest, ahead of the rest of the 2013 Rookie of the Year contenders qualifying for the race.

Falling victim to an incident early in the Nationwide Series Jeff Foxworthy's Grit Chips 300, Nelson Piquet Jr. was forced to retire from Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday.

He started 19th, was working his way into the top-15 when he was collected in an accident as another competitor slid up the track, leaving Piquet Jr. with nowhere to go. The No. 30 Chevrolet Camaro sustained irreparable damage, relegating him to a 34th-place finish. Piquet Jr. will be making his first career Auto Club Speedway NNS start on Saturday in the Royal Purple 300.-Turner Scott Motorsports

Nelson Piquet Jr. had the best 10-lap consecutive average speed in the first practice for the Nationwide Series Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

His average of 119.552 mph in the No. 30 was best of the 14 cars that ran 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. No. 15 Scott Riggs, No. 6 Trevor Bayne, No. 60 Travis Pastrana and No. 32 Kyle Larson were the rest of the top five on this list.

In the spring of last year, Piquet Jr. visited victory lane in his first ever start in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, a victory that would start the trend for three other wins in the NASCAR ranks. The No. 30 WORX team will have chassis TSM-335 this Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway for its second race. The last time Nelson Piquet Jr. raced at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS), he was standing in victory lane at the end of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event last fall.

Piquet Jr. is hoping the luck returns this weekend as he makes his first NNS start at LVMS. He will drive chassis TSM-319 this Saturday at LVMS. This particular chassis had three top-15 finishes during the 2012 season with various drivers behind the wheel.-Turner Scott Motorsports
