In an amicable agreement, JD Motorsports w/Gary Keller has, effective immediately, parted ways with driver Danny Efland.
Efland drove the #4 Chevy for the team through the past two seasons, but not on a full-time basis. His departure now opens up the opportunity for someone else to continue on in that car. "I would like to thank Danny for all his time and effort this year," said Johnny Davis, owner. "This is a move to make our organization better. As a team, we need to constantly improve our communication in order to improve our finishes on the track. Danny Efland’s qualifying speed was not good enough to make the field for the Nationwide Series Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

He ran a lap of 115.905 mph in the No. 4 Chevrolet. It was 39th quickest but not quick enough to make the field for the race.

Swift Response LLC, makers of FLEX SEAL, has completed a marketing partnership to partner with JD Motorsports for the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

The relationship will kick off at Daytona, by sponsoring the No. 4 FLEX SEAL Chevrolet driven by Danny Efland in this weekend’s DRIVE4COPD 300, at Daytona. In 2012, Danny finished both Nationwide Daytona races in 13th position. He also picked up a strong finish at Talladega in 16th position. It was announced on January 21, 2013 that Efland will return to the No. 4 JD Motorsports Chevrolet in 27 of the 33 races for the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

Danny Efland announces his return to J D Motorsports w/Gary Keller as the driver of the Nationwide Series #4 Chevrolet for the 2013 season in 27 races.

Danny drove 17 races for the Johnny Davis owned team as Mike Wallace’s teammate during 2012. Finishing 21st in the driver standings, Danny had 5 top 20s and completed all of the laps at both supper speedways. Danny looks forward to an expanded season with JDM and further said that Johnny Davis has been very busy during the off season and has significantly improved the cars and over all program.

Danny Efland is making his eighth start of the 2012 season and 54th of his Nationwide Series career.

He’s making his sixth start at CMS with a best qualifying effort of 26th in 2008 and race finish of 19th in 2011. In those previous five starts at the 1.5-mile oval, Efland has completed 695 of 1005 laps contested.

Danny Efland has agreed to drive a Johnny Davis Motorsports Nationwide entry April 13th at Texas Motor Speedway.

The race will be on Friday night under the lights. Danny and Johnny have been working to keep the #4 car locked in with Danny finishing a career high 13th place at Daytona and crew chiefing the car at several other events. Look for a sponsorship partner soon.(Efland PR)-jayski.com

To better strengthen its overall program, JD Motorsports will field a second car for the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

Mike Wallace will continue to drive the #01 Chevy. The second car will have several drivers in the seat including Danny Efland and Darryl Harr; with the possibility of Mike's daughter, Chrissy Wallace, driving if marketing partners can be found. Efland will drive the #4 Chevy for JD Motorsports in the upcoming NNS race at Daytona. He ran a lap of 162.225 mph in the Key Motorsports entry. It was 41st quickest but not quick enough to make the field for the event.

With Jimmy Means vast experience Danny expects to do well in the #52 car at Talladega! It's been close to five months since Danny and the Danny Efland Racing team have been on a race track competing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. But that will end this weekend.
