When Owen Kelly achieves his goal of being the eighth Australian to start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup this weekend at Watkins Glen, he won't be the only Aussie in the Phoenix Racing garage.
Joining Kelly in his NASCAR Premier Division debut at the Cheez-It 355 will be the team's engineer, Andrew Dickeson, born and raised in Melbourne (Victoria). 31-year-old Dickeson has been with Phoenix Racing for four years, starting in their shock absorber program and now in a role as engineer. The pair have teamed up in the past when Kelly drove a V8 Supercar for former NASCAR racer Terry Wyhoon in Australia.-BAM Media Wed, Aug 7, 2013 02:09:00 PM

Kelly fell into favoritism for the seat in the #51 entry after an impressive performance in Kyle Busch’s JGR #54 Monster Energy car in the Nationwide race at Road America last month where he qualified second and finished fourth, despite running out of fuel while challenging for the lead.
