Place-differential points have become important in many Fantasy NASCAR games, and Alex Kennedy was all but assured of earning some for his owners. In 13 starts he finished better than he qualified in all but one event.
Moreover, the single race in which he finished worse than he started came in the AAA 400, which was set by practice speeds. Kennedy will probably be part of the No. 33 lineup again in 2016 and he should be used when players need a bargain basement driver to extend the top of their salary caps. The Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500 will mark the fourth time Alex Kennedy will make a start on one of NASCAR’s short, flat tracks. His previous three attempts all came this year and all ended in the 30s.

Kennedy’s best finish came at Martinsville Speedway this March when he started 41st and finished 33rd. If he starts in the back again, he should be a good bet to earn some place-differential points.

Alex Kennedy finished better than he started in his last eight races, all of which came behind the wheel of the No. 33 Joe Falk car.

While this is a good record, Kennedy needs to improve his qualification skills. All eight of these races were made via provisional starting positions and all but one of them ended somewhere in the 30s. Kennedy’s best result in that span of races was a 28th at Pocono Raceway last August after starting 42nd.

Alex Kennedy will make his 10th start in the No. 33 Joe Falk car this week at Richmond and he is seeking his second top-30 finish with that team. He finished 28th in the 2014 400 on the flat 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway.

Kennedy also had a top-30 at Watkins Glen International in 2013 driving for Randy Humphrey. He is generally at his best on road courses, but minimally-banked tracks like Richmond should also offer a level of comfort.

Alex Kennedy was the driver of choice for the No. 33 Joe Falk team on the two short, flat track races so far this year. He finished 38th at Phoenix and was 33rd at Martinsville.

Both results were marred by crash damage, but both also showed improvement over his qualification effort. Kennedy had to take a provisional in each race to start in the 40s. That meant he earned positive place differential points for fantasy owners.

Alex Kennedy will make his second start of the season in the No. 33 Joel Falk / Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet. His first attempt came two weeks ago at Phoenix where he finished 38th after taking a provisional to get into the show.

Flat tracks are supposed to be kind to road racers, and while that is not uniformly true, Kennedy scored a 28th at Pocono last year. He deserves attention this week and a possible start if he practices well.

In three starts, Alex Kennedy has posted his best finish at Watkins Glen. He was 29th in this race last year, which is bracketed by a 40th at Sonoma last year and a 39th there this spring.

Three starts is not much to go on and a 29th-place finish will not get Kennedy on many rosters, but this is a driver to watch and consider potentially next season if he keeps his part time ride on the road courses and at Pocono.

Alex Kennedy has become the go-to driver for No. 33 Joe Falk team at Pocono and on road courses. He will make his third start on this track in the 400.

In the June race Kennedy was running a mere four laps off the pace at the end, but that netted only a 39th-place finish with limited attrition. This race is important for the driver and fantasy owners because it gives the team a chance to develop some chemistry before next week’s contest at Watkins Glen—where Kennedy may be a longshot dark horse.

For the fourth time this season, Alex "Kid" Kennedy will take over the driving duties for R3 Motorsports in their No. 23 MediaMaster Chevrolet, this time at the road course along the St. Lawrence Seaway in Montreal, Canada.

This will be Kennedy’s third road course start this season, with the first two coming at Road America (finished 28th) and Watkins Glen (16th). The 18-year old driver from Aztec, N.M. is hoping to back up his results in the first two races this time around, as well.

Alex "Kid" Kennedy will make his third-career NASCAR Nationwide Series start with R3 Motorsports at Watkins Glen.

Kennedy, the 18-year old driver from Aztec, N.M., is looking to capitalize on his prior experience at The Glen in the K&N East Series, and what he learned at Road America in the No. 23 Chevrolet in June. In 2009, the 10th-place finisher in the K&N East Series point standings started and finished eighth at the 11-turn road course. For his NNS debut at Road America in June, Kennedy started 15th and was running ninth with 10 laps to go when he was spun from behind.
