Mike Harmon Racing announced that veteran road course racer Kevin O'Connell will be driving the #74 this week at Road America.

Kevin O’Connell is not among starters for the Nationwide Series NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

The team is outside the top 30 in owner’s points and not guaranteed a start in this weekend’s NNS race. The No. 31 driver’s qualifying speed was 43rd fastest and not good enough to make the cut for the event.

Baker Curb Racing announced they will partner with O’Connell Racing, a southern California based road racing team, and driver Kevin O’Connell for the NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Road America this weekend.

"Road America in a Nationwide Series car is a unique opportunity to run at arguably the fastest and most historic road course in North America," said O’Connell. "I had not raced at Road America since my rookie season with the Skip Barber Series but got reacquainted with circuit in May by racing the historic full downforce open wheel car. The seat time was vastly different than I remembered but should be very beneficial for this weekend’s race."-TheHotLap.com
