Johanna Long is bummed that her debut part-time Nationwide Series schedule ended so quickly and is already looking forward to getting behind the wheel in February.
She garnered a lot of attention this past season, competing in the No. 70 Chevrolet for ML Motorsports. Long and ML Motorsports have yet to finalize their 2013 plans but expect to run a similar schedule to last year barring an increase in funding. Johanna Long and the ML Motorsports team will take to the track at Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday, July 22 for the STP 300.

After coming off of a NNS career-best finish of 12th at Daytona, Long is ready to continue the momentum going in to this weekend’s race at Chicagoland Speedway. The 20-year-old rookie has only one prior start at the 1.5-mile track. However, she has experience and several top-20 finishes at the 1.5-mile tracks that she and the ML Motorsports team has visited earlier this season.

Johanna Long and the ML Motorsports team will not have to travel far this week as they head to one of their home tracks of Michigan International Speedway.

Based out of Warsaw, IN, the No. 70 Foretravel Motorcoach Chevrolet team will travel only two hours to Michigan International Speedway. Although this will be Long’s first start at the two-mile track, ML Motorsports has laps and experience here at Michigan. The ML Motorsports team will bring Chassis No. 63 to Michigan International Speedway. Chassis No. 63 was last utilized at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26 where the team finished 22nd.

ML Racing announced that Johanna Long will drive the #70 Biomet Foretravel Motorcoach Chevy for the 2012 and 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Long began her NASCAR career in 2011, driving a limited schedule in the Camping World Truck Series for Panhandle Motorsports. She join a team that is owned by Mary Louise Miller, one of the few female owners in NASCAR and a big supporter of women in racing. At nineteen, Long becomes the youngest female driver to compete in the Nationwide Series, and she will be competing for Rookie of the Year in 2012.-jayski.com

Of the drivers required to make the field on speed, her lap of 175.391 mph in the No. 20 truck was the fastest. Her qualifying speed puts her 8th in the lineup for the Coca-Cola 250.

Johanna Long will return to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series action on Friday, July 22 in the Lucas Deep Clean 200 at Nashville Superspeedway.

This will be Long’s third trip to Nashville, as she previously raced at the 1.33-mile oval in 2010 for Billy Ballew Motorsports and earlier this year for family-owned Panhandle Motorsports.

Johanna Long, brought the No. 20 Toyota Tundra home in her best finish at Martinsville Speedway - 18th position.

The 18-year-old wheeled her truck for her first top 20 and her second showing at the famed .526-mile short track (the first in the fall of 2010, 22nd place finish). Long qualified 22nd for the Kroger 250 and made it as high as eighth position midway through the race. The team is preparing for Nashville Superspeedway on April 22nd.-Girl Friday PR

Rookie Johanna Long, the youngest competitor in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, spent two days in Darlington, South Carolina in advance of the Too Tough to Tame 200.

The driver, along with fellow competitor Joey Coulter, visited ten local schools with almost 3000 children total; and granted interviews to local media from all major outlets. She also took time to walk and drive Darlington Raceway - yet another first-time track for the 18-year old. Johanna Long lined up the No. 20 Panhandle Grading Toyota Tundra in the 25th position with a qualifying lap time of 27.735 and a speed of 129.800 mph.

Holding her own through her first NASCAR flat track experience in the final laps, Long showed her determination at Phoenix by taking it home in the 20th position at the checkers. Johanna Long took another step forward in her quickly accelerating NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rookie career Friday night at Daytona.

Despite being taken out of the running due a 14-car pileup in turn one after 74 laps, the youngest driver in the Series ran as high as fourth position and started the race fifth. Johanna Long will make her first start at Daytona International Speedway on Friday.

She made seven starts in the NCWTS in 2010, in addition to 18 starts in late models and the famed Snowball Derby. In 2010, she moved to the NCWTS with Panhandle Motorsports - running a limited schedule to gain track knowledge and experience on the Speedways. Her season-best finish of 17th came at Indianapolis Raceway Park.
