Travis Pastrana won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 22nd Annual Aaron's 312 with a lap of 54.255 seconds, 176.500 mph.

This is the No. 60 Ford Mustang driver's first pole in 17 NASCAR Nationwide Series races. It is his second top-10 start in 2013. This is Pastrana's first start at Talladega Superspeedway.

Travis Pastrana will make his first NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway.

He earned a top-10 in his first start of the season at the circuit’s other restrictor plate track, Daytona International Speedway (DIS). The Car: The No. 60 team brings Chassis RK-690 back to the track this weekend. This is the same chassis that Pastrana drove to 10th at DIS in the 2013 season-opener. For the first time this season, Travis Pastrana heads to a track that he has competed at before in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

He made two starts at Richmond last year, including his first overall NNS start last April and his first start for Roush Fenway Racing, last September. Travis Pastrana and the No. 60 Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) team will debut a new look for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend.

The Ford Mustang will sport a red, white and blue patriotic paint scheme instead of the usual neon scheme. Friday night’s Nationwide Series race marks Pastrana’s first start in the series at the 1.5-mile track. The RFR driver raced at TMS last season in Global RallyCross, finishing 15th. The team will also run the paint scheme at Daytona International Speedway over the July Fourth weekend.-Roush Fenway Racing

Last week at Bristol Motor Speedway, Travis Pastrana and the No. 60 Roush Fenway Racing Ford Mustang qualified 18th for the Grit Chips 300.

Travis Pastrana matched his career-best finish of 10th, Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Track activity for the Sam’s Town 300 was washed away on Friday, as heavy rain moved into the desert. As a result, qualifying was scratched on Saturday, in favor of an hour-long practice session. The field was set based on owner points, leaving Pastrana to start 31st. At one point in the race, he fell one lap down during a long caution-free run, but received the free-pass as the result of a Lap 140 caution. Pastrana advanced his way to the front of the field, ultimately matching his best finish and collecting his second top-10 in three races. Travis Pastrana will make his first NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) this weekend.

He pulled double-duty last year at LVMS, competing in both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Global RallyCross, finishing 15th and 10th, respectively. The action sports legend is no stranger to daredevil stunts in Las Vegas. Travis Pastrana and the Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) No. 60 Ford Mustang finished 28th at Phoenix after making contact with the wall on the second lap of the 200-lap Nationwide Series race.

The Dollar General 200 took the green flag on Saturday, with Pastrana rolling off 12th. On the second lap, there were two separate incidents on the track, one including the No. 60 Ford Mustang. Pastrana made contact with the wall, sustaining severe damage to the right side of the car. The crew continued working on the car for the balance of the race, taking four tires and fuel under nearly every caution period. Travis Pastrana will make his first NASCAR Nationwide Series start at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) this weekend.

The driver of the No. 60 Ford Mustang previously competed at PIR in 2011 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, finishing 25th. Last Saturday at Daytona, Pastrana earned a career-high 10th-place finish after starting fourth. Travis Pastrana kicked off his 2013 Nationwide Series campaign with a career-high 10th-place finish in his NASCAR debut at Daytona.

Pastrana qualified the No. 60 Ford Mustang in fourth for his NNS debut at the 2.5-mile speedway. At the start of the race, he dropped to the back of the field and remained there in an attempt to avoid the big wrecks that restrictor-plate racing is known for. He began to work his way to the front of the field and by a caution on Lap 100, was up to eighth. He stayed in the top-15 for the remainder of the race, sustaining some damage in an accident on the final lap, but still managing to finish 10th.-Roush Fenway Racing

Of the teams required to make the field on speed, his lap of 176.637 mph in the No. 60 Ford Mustang was the fastest. His qualifying speed puts him fourth in the lineup for the Nationwide Series DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway.

While Travis Pastrana makes his first NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start this weekend at Daytona, the driver of the No. 60 Ford Mustang is no stranger to the high banks of Daytona.

Pastrana’s first win in the Pro Ranks came at DIS in the AMA Supercross Series 125 East Class. He also participated in the 2012 Rolex 24 at Daytona, finishing 35th. Pastrana will team up with veteran NASCAR Crew Chief, Chad Norris for the 2013 season. Norris served as crew chief for fellow Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) driver Carl Edwards for part of the 2012 Sprint Cup season. Action sports legend Travis Pastrana will make the move to full-time NASCAR racing in 2013, driving Roush Fenway’s historic No. 60 Ford Mustang in all 33 events on the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) schedule.

Pastrana has made nine career NNS starts, including one for RFR last September at Richmond, where he qualified a career-high fifth and ran top-10 for much of the race en route to a 17th-place finish. Pastrana will team up with crew chief Chad Norris. Extreme racer Travis Pastrana’s transition to NASCAR will take a step up in 2013.

Frontstretch.com has learned the driver is finalizing a deal to run full-time for Roush Fenway Racing next season in the Nationwide Series, attempting a run at the championship. Driving a car that will likely be changed to No. 99, Pastrana has sponsorship sold for approximately half the 32-to-33 race schedule but sources say RFR is committed to run the driver regardless.
