Timmy Hill, the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year, has five previous NASCAR starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway as well as a start last weekend in the Sprint Showdown.
Said Hill: "Charlotte is one of the few tracks that I have already had Sprint Cup experience at along with it being my favorite 1.5-mile track. My debut with FAS Lane Racing came in the fall race at Charlotte last year. FAS Lane Racing and Timmy Hill know that each race is a new learning experience as the growing team and rookie driver tackle the challenge of Sprint Cup competition.

The NRA 500 at Texas Motor Speedway was another one of those experiences as the team and driver worked together for just the third time this season. While Hill struggled to get the handling of his No. 32 OXYwater™ Ford to his liking, the 334-lap event proved a valuable learning experience for the combination on their way to a 36th place finish. Timmy Hill secures the last qualifying slot open to teams outside of the top 36 fastest in qualifying for the Sprint Cup race.

Teams that were not the 36 fastest in qualifying may be eligible for provisional starting positions based on owner points or a past champion’s provisional. He qualified the No. 32 Ford 44th fastest and will line up 43rd for the event.

Rookie of the Year" contender Timmy Hill will make his first start of the 2013 season as he pilots the No. 32 OXYwater™ Ford in the running of the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Hill, the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year, made three starts for FAS Lane Racing last year. Timmy Hill - FAS Lane Racing-32

Timmy Hill will make his first 2013 Sprint Cup Series start on Sunday, March 24th, in the "Auto Club 400" at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.

He will pilot the FAS Lane Racing No. 32 OXYwater Ford Fusion. Hill will be racing 18 to 20 races of the 36-race schedule in the NSCS, splitting seat time with veteran NASCAR drivers Ken Schrader and Terry Labonte. Hill is a Rookie of the Year contender. The FAS Lane Racing No. 32 team is currently 34th in owner points after finishing a strong 25th in the "Food City 500" at Bristol with Labonte behind the wheel.-Timmy Hill PR

2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year Timmy Hill has announced today he will make a run at the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year honors driving the FAS Lane Racing No. 32 U.S Chrome Ford Fusion.

Hill joined FAS Lane Racing in 2012, racing three events late in the year, including at Kansas Speedway where he finished a career-high 22nd while racing on the lead lap. Hill will race 18 to 20 races for FAS Lane Racing with veteran NASCAR drivers Terry Labonte and Ken Schrader also taking turns at the wheel as the team will race the entire 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule. The total of races Hill will enter will allow him to compete against Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. for the Rookie of the Year title.

The No. 15 Ford driver ran a lap of 162.562 mph. It was 37th quickest but not quick enough to make the field for the race.

NASCAR Nationwide Series regular Timmy Hill will be pulling double duty this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

He will be racing in both the Nationwide Series "Dollar General 300" on Friday and the Sprint Cup Series "Bank of America 500" on Saturday. Friday he will be racing the No. 41 Lilly Trucking Ford for Rick Ware Racing, and on Saturday he will be in the No. 32 U.S. Chrome Ford for FAS Lane Racing.

NASCAR has penalized Timmy Hill's No. 41 team for rules infractions that were committed last week at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The No. 41 car was found to be in violation of Section 12-1; 12-4J; and 20A-12.8.1(B) (body height requirements – car failed to meet the minimum front car heights) of the 2012 NASCAR rule book. As a result, crew chief George Church has been fined $10,000 while owner Rick Ware and driver Timmy Hill have been penalized with the loss of six championship owner and six championship driver points, respectively. The violation was discovered during post-race inspection May 26.-NASCAR PR

Timmy Hill, the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year, will return to the Nationwide Series with Rick Ware Racing for the remainder of the 2012 season.

Hill and the RWR team attempted the move to the Sprint Cup Series this year [in the #37]. Said Hill: "We as a team took a chance to compete in the Sprint Cup Series and move this team to the next level. We learned a lot from this experience, but it's time to take a step back and regroup on what we learned to apply that for the future.
