Timmy Hill will make his second Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series start this season on a short track this week in the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Hill started the STP 500 in 38th. He finished 33rd, which added five place-differential points to his total and insured that he would not finish with negative points. Apr 21 - 1:06 PM

Timmy Hill’s two best finishes this year have come on the shortest tracks contended in NASCAR so far. He was 32nd at Phoenix International Raceway and 33rd at Martinsville Speedway

Short, flat tracks are driver’s courses where skill plays a greater role as a percentage of the whole. He has not yet been strong enough to make the No. 51 fantasy relevant, but players should keep an eye on Hill.
Apr 14 - 9:38 AM

Timmy Hill has finished between 32nd and 37th in his last four races this season, which shows consistency if not outright speed.

Hill has been a decent value a time of two this season when he has added place-differential points. Unfortunately during his last unrestricted, intermediate speedway race, he fell one position to 35th and scored minimally.
Apr 6 - 11:35 PM

Timmy Hill has made two previous starts at Martinsville with a best finish of 36th in fall 2015.

Hill was 41 laps off the pace in that contest. He retired with brake issues in 2014, which means that if both races are added together, he still has not completed 500 Martinsville laps. There will be better options this week.
Mar 30 - 11:18 PM

If Timmy Hill is going to have a strong finish at Auto Club Speedway this week, he will probably need some help via attrition.

Hill has made two starts this season and both ended in the 30s. At Las Vegas Motor Speedway he was part of the attrition and finished 37th. At Phoenix International Raceway, he was running at the end in 32nd.
Mar 24 - 12:32 PM

Timmy Hill has made four attempts at Phoenix International Raceway and earned one top-30 finish.

Hill failed to qualify in spring 2012, made the show that fall to earn a 29th-place result, made one more start in 2013, and then qualified for his fourth race in 2015. With experience spanning that many seasons, Hill has had plenty of opportunity to digest his experiences. He could be a long shot to score a top-30.
Mar 16 - 1:40 PM

Timmy Hill failed to qualify in his last two efforts on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks, but with an entry list of only 39 cars this week, he will make the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend.

He is guaranteed to have his best start since fall 2013 at Kansas Speedway. Hill qualified 35th that day, but started in the 40s in every event since then. While Hill has struggled to qualify on this track type, he has managed to finish better that he started in all but two efforts. One of the times he failed to earn positive place-differential points was when he qualified and finished 42nd in the 2012 Kobalt 400.
Mar 9 - 9:54 AM

Timmy Hill has one top-25 to his credit on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks. That came at Kansas Speedway in 2012 when he finished 22nd.

Hill completed all the laps that afternoon in Frank Stoddard’s No. 32—one of two times that he went the distance. His other complete race was a 28th, also at Kansas. Of his 17 starts on this track type, he has one Atlanta race under his belt in 2013; he finished 31st after starting 41st and was running at the end.

Reed Sorenson and Timmy Hill were the two drivers who failed to qualify for the Daytona 500.

Sorenson was wrecked by Corey Lajoie in his Duel; Hill experienced some sort of mechanical difficulty. Make sure that neither of these drivers is on your roster as a long-shot dark horse.
Feb 24 - 12:29 PM

Timmy Hill has made 49 previous starts in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, but none of them have come at Daytona International Speedway.

He has two Talladega SuperSpeedway races under his belt, however. Hill completed 168 laps in the 2015 CampingWorld.com 500 before retiring with an electrical issue in a Jay Robinson entry. In 2012, he parked Joe Nemechek’s car early. It is difficult to precisely know Hill’s potential this week, but with an unchartered team he must first race his way into the show.
Feb 17 - 5:17 PM

Rick Ware Racing announced the team's intent to compete in the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series as an "open non-chartered" team beginning with next month's 59th annual Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

RWR's return to the elite level of NASCAR will have Timmy Hill aboard the #51 Chevrolet for Speedweeks with a rotating list of drivers to follow throughout the season including longtime RWR drivers Stanton Barrett, Cody Ware and road course veteran Kevin O'Connell to name a few. RWR also announced the team has acquired assets from Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) for use this season, including cars, pulldown rig and technology support. Additionally, Longtime industry veteran Joe Lax, also previously with TBR will serve as crew chief, while pro-motor engineering (PME) will supply the horsepower during the season.-jayski.com

Timmy Hill (No. 40 CrashClaimsR.us/OCR Gaz Bar Toyota) will miss the XFINITY Series Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The team is not guaranteed a start in this weekend’s NXS race. Based on NASCAR’s time trial knockout procedure, upon completion of the first round of qualifying, the 40 eligible cars for starting positions one to 40 is determined. The car was listed as 41st on the chart.

Timmy Hill (#49 Hormone Therapeutics Chevrolet Silverado) finished 14th in Friday night's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Nextera Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

He started 30th in the lineup and completed all of the 100 laps run (led one lap). Hill is currently 12th in the 2016 NCWTS Championship standings.
Sat, Feb 20, 2016 10:08:00 PM

Timmy Hill made 12 starts with 16 attempts in 2015 and scored a season-best of 36th on three occasions at Pocono Raceway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and Martinsville Speedway.

Hill was not particularly adept at qualification, however, and that accounted for his four DNQs (failures to qualify). The hidden good news in that statistic is that all three of his 36th-place finishes came along with positive place-differential points as he started either 43rd or 42nd in those events.
Wed, Dec 2, 2015 04:21:00 PM

Timmy Hill posted the slowest speed in qualification with a lap of 131.507 mph, but he made the show with only 43 cars in attendance. He will start 43rd.

Hill has failed to qualify on short, flat tracks twice in 13 attempts and has taken a provisional in every other race, but his best finish came at Phoenix with a 29th. If attrition is high enough, he could earn enough place-differential points to make him an interesting pick.
