Blake Koch is pumped to get behind the wheel of his No. 24 Toyota and test his skills at Richmond International Raceway.
Known as the "Action Track," the .75-mile oval has characteristics of a short track and a superspeedway. Koch loves the combination and looks forward to seeing the sparks fly in Friday night's ToyotaCare 250. He has four Nationwide Series starts at Richmond. Thanks to the generous contribution of an anonymous donor, Compassion International will be the primary sponsor of Blake Koch's No. 24 Toyota Camry in Friday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Compassion and Koch are confident that the NASCAR community will rally to provide sponsorships for at least 2,400 children who live in extreme poverty around the world as they launch the partnership in Texas. Blake Koch's last performance at a 1.5-mile track was at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he took the checkered flag in 21st place.

Having learned several lessons since his first outing, Koch is ready to demonstrate the improvements his team has made to its program since March in Friday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 300. He has two top-25s in four Nationwide Series starts at Texas. His best finish is 22nd place, which came in 2011. Blake Koch is coming off his third straight top-25 finish of the season and looks to carry the momentum into this weekend.

Koch has two Nationwide Series starts at the two-mile oval. His best finish, 25th place, came last season. SR2 Motorsports has one start at Auto Club Speedway. Koch has three Nationwide Series starts at Bristol. His best finish is 23rd-place, which he achieved in 2011. SR2 Motorsports has competed in two Nationwide events at Bristol, producing a pair of top-25s. SR2 Motorsports just missed their second consecutive top-20 finish after Blake Koch scraped the wall in the closing laps of Saturday's Sam's Town 300 at the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Koch ran inside the top-20 for the majority of the the 200-lap event and proved that SR2 Motorsports will be a threat on mile-and-a-half tracks all season. He started the No. 24 Toyota in the 21st position. He raced as high as 17th and just outside a top-15 spot. The crew made various chassis adjustments and had no issues on pit road. For SR2, the finish moved them up three spots in Owner Points. For Koch, he advanced five spots to 17th in the driver championships standings giving the team a lot of confidence.-Breaking Limits

Blake Koch set a new benchmark for SR2 Motorsports at Phoenix International Raceway in last weekend's Dollar General 200.

He eclipsed the team's best finish of 22nd place at the "Desert Jewel" with a 16th-place run. His eyes are now set on the Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he hopes to raise the bar yet again. He has one start at Las Vegas which resulted in an 18th-place performance. Blake Koch is taking the wheel of the No. 24 SR2 Motorsports Toyota in this week's Dollar General 200 at Phoenix International Raceway.

It will mark his fifth Nationwide Series start at the one-mile oval. His best finish to date is 14th place, which he achieved in 2011. Said Koch: "Last week we ran into some bad luck at Daytona and didn't get the finish we were hoping for. It's not often that a race car driver wants to be second, but Blake Koch is excited to share that message with the NASCAR community at Daytona International Speedway.

He will carry primary sponsorship from I am Second, a movement meant to inspire people of all kinds to live for God and for others, on his No. 24 SR2 Motorsports Toyota Camry in the DRIVE4COPD 300 on February 23, 2013. Koch has been a longtime supporter of the organization and filmed a video for its website in 2012. Coming off the heels of their announcement of expanding to three cars in 2013, SR² Motorsports announced today that Blake Koch will race in the NASCAR Nationwide Series as driver of one of the team's Toyota Camrys.

This will mark Koch's second season with the organization after starting in nine races for the Georgia-based team in 2012. Benny Gordon, who was promoted to team general manager and lead crew chief, will serve as the No. 24 team's crew chief. Koch made his Nationwide Series debut in 2009. In his first 10 races, Blake Koch earned five top-25 finishes. He completed 32 Nationwide Races in 2011 and finished 18th in points, finishing a close second in the battle for rookie of the year.-Breaking Limits

Of the teams required to make the field on speed, his lap of 165.878 mph in the No. 00 Toyota was the fastest. His qualifying speed puts him ninth in the lineup for the Nationwide Series Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Blake Koch does not qualify for the Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino 350 at Texas Motor Speedway.

He is one of the ‘go-or-go-homers’ required to qualify on speed. He ran a 38th fastest lap in the No. 0 truck. This was not good enough to make the 36-truck field.

The No. 00 driver’s lap of 118.110 mph was 39th fastest in qualifying for the the Nationwide Series Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway. He will line up 43rd at the green flag.

Blake Koch makes the most improvement in the Nationwide Series after this weekend’s race.

His 19th place finish in the Subway Jalapeno 250 was 22 places better than his last NNS finish. This earned the No. 82 Dodge driver a $2,600 check and the Featherlite "Most Improved Driver" award. Koch, who made 13 of the 16 races so far this season, is currently 25th in the 2012 Nationwide Series point standings.
