David Mayhew, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West veteran, won the NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Toyota to win back-to-back races at Monroe, Washington's .646-mile Evergreen Speedway.

He joins notable names such as Bill Amick, Ray Elder, Ron Eaton, Jim Robinson, Chad Little and Brenden Gaughan on the list of drivers to earn back-to-back finishes at the track. The 33-year-old from Atascadero, California passed James Bickford on Lap 35 to take the lead and set the stage for his dominating performance. It was Mayhew's 10th overall victory and his second win of the season.

For almost the entirety of Saturday’s Carneros 200 at Sonoma Raceway, Dalton Sargeant, a regular in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, looked primed to steal another one from his West series counterparts.

Then, with four laps remaining, Dave Smith’s Dodge slid off course. And the yellow flag flew. That proved to be Sargeant’s undoing, as pole winner David Mayhew used a strong restart and eventual pass for the lead on the first lap of a green-white-checkered finish to capture his first victory of the season. It was his ninth victory in 92 career races in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. Mayhew led the first two and final two laps. In between, Sargeant, who won the season opener at Kern, led a total of 64 laps.

David Mayhew edged past the field late in qualifying to earn his 13th career NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Coors Light Pole Award and his second pole of the season.

Mayhew was a part of the fourth, and final, qualifying group Saturday morning at California’s historic road course, Sonoma Raceway. The Atascadero, California veteran driver posted a lap of 1:18 minutes (91.987 mph) in his No. 17 MMI Racing/Ron’s Rear Ends/Pour House Chevrolet around the 1.99-mile road course to lead the field for Saturday afternoon’s Carneros 200.
