Joey Gase is happy to announce that he will be partnering with Sparks Energy for the Sparks Energy 300 on May 6th and the GEICO 500 on May 7th.

Gase will be piloting #15 for Premium Motorsports in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and #52 for Jimmy Means Racing in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. Gase has proven that he can use the draft not just at Talladega but at all superspeedways. In May of 2015, Gase finished 5th at Talladega with Jimmy Means Racing, which grabbed the attention of big names like Dale Earnhardt Jr. "Top 5 for one of my heroes Jimmy Means and his driver Joey Gase," said Earnhardt, Jr. over Twitter. This past February in Daytona Gase finished 7th in the XFINITY Series Race and made his first Daytona 500 Series start, finishing a very respectable 23rd place.

Several weeks after announcing a multi-race deal to compete in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, Joey Gase revealed to Frontstretch he will be returning to full-time competition in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.

The 24-year-old will be back for his fourth straight season driving Jimmy Means Racing’s No. 52 car on a full-time basis. "I’ll be back full-time in the XFINITY Series," Gase said. "We’re trying to expand, but the competition level is rising. Stewart-Haas [Racing] is coming in and GMS Racing. RCR and JR Motorsports are adding teams, so we are going to have to get better if we want to survive in this sport." -Frontstrech.com

Joey Gase will make his restrictor-plate, superspeedway debut in the Daytona 500, driving the chartered No. 23 entry.

Gase’s best finished on 1.5-mile tracks came in both Kansas Speedway events last year. He finished 34th in May and 35th in October after starting 38th in each event. Anything can happen in a plate race, but there are probably better options available for dark horses. Evaluate him in this race and use that information to decide whether he should start at Talladega SuperSpeedway in May.

BK Racing has announced a multiple race partnership with Best Home Furnishings to sponsor the No. 23 BK Racing Toyota Camry with driver, Joey Gase.

The Best Home Furnishings Toyota will be on track at the Daytona 500 in February, the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway and additional races throughout the 2017 season. The Daytona 500 will be Gase's first race with BK Racing. Gase sums up this relationship perfectly, stating, "It is awesome to say I will be 1 of the 40 drivers in the world racing in the 2017 Daytona 500 driving for BK Racing and Best Home Furnishings."-NASCAR.com

Joey Gase made six starts in 2016 in the No. 32 Go Fas Racing ride and was running at the end of all of them

More importantly, Gase finished better than he started in five of those races, but his impact on fantasy rosters was minimized by the fact that his best finish of the season was only 32nd well back in March.

If his seven previous starts on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks are any indication, Joey Gase will finish the AAA Texas 500 in the high-30s.

Gase has one previous start at Texas. It came in this race last fall when he used a provisional start in 43rd before advancing to 37th. Only 40 cars are in the field this year, so he will not even have the benefit of decent moderate place-differential points.

Joey Gase will make his 13th Cup career attempt this week in the No. GO FAS Racing ride.

Gases’s career best efforts have come on the short, flat track at Phoenix International Raceway with a 32nd- and 33rd-place finish. His best result on this track type, however, came at Kansas this May when he finished 34th after starting 38th. That added four place-differential points to his total. Gase has made 12 starts and failed to qualify once; his DNQ came at Texas Motor Speedway last fall.

Joey Gase made his NASCAR Sprint Cup debut at Chicagoland Speedway in 2014. He finished 37th. His next two starts on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks also ended in that same position and he was 38th in his fourth attempt on the track type at Kansas Speedway.

Gase then failed to make the show at Texas Motor Speedway last fall, but he started where he left off at Kansas this spring in 38th. That qualification attempt was five spots ahead of his previous efforts and it helped him score a career-best 34th on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks. His best overall result is a 32nd at Phoenix International Raceway.

Joey Gase has made three starts in the first 12 weeks of the 2016 season and his results have not been overly impressive with a 32nd at Phoenix International Raceway, 36th at Martinsville Speedway, and 34th at Kansas Speedway. He has finished better than he started each week.

The No. 32 has done a reasonably good job of rotating drivers through the seat of this Ford, but they will not be fantasy relevant until they begin posting top-30s. Jeffrey Earnhardt has also finished in that same range this season.

Joey Gase will get behind the wheel of the No. 32 this week and he has been incredibly consistent on this track type. He has not been particularly strong, however, with three 37th-place result and a 38th in four starts. Two of these starts came at Kansas Speedway.

In each of the four races he made, however, he finished better than he started by four or five positions, which could equate to a result in the 34th- to 36th-place range. That is not worth much, but predictability can be valuable to fantasy players.

After rough outings in Atlanta and Las Vegas, Jeffrey Earnhardt will sit out the Good Sam 500. Joey Gase is listed as the driver of the No. 32 Frank Stoddard car this week.

Sometimes it takes a fresh eye to see what is wrong with a program. Sometimes drivers come with a little more sponsorship for lightly-funded teams. Whichever is the case, Gase has more Phoenix International Raceway experience with two starts to Earnhardt’s none. Gase’s best finish was a 33rd in fall 2014 driving for this same team.

Joey Gase was only one for four in terms of finishing Cup races in 2015. He went the full distance at Kansas in the SpongeBob SquarePants 400 and improved from 42nd on the grid to 38th at the finish.

Gase failed to qualify in one race as well when he came up one spot short at Texas Motor Speedway in the fall. Gase was one of Frank Stoddard’s opportunity drivers, but that team will give Jeffrey Earnhardt a more or less fulltime role in 2016.
