Clay Greenfield is fastest in Happy Hour for the Camping World Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

At 189.645 mph in the No. 68 RAM, he was the fastest of the 39 trucks out on the track for the final practice. No. 4 Jeb Burton, No. 32 Miguel Paludo, No. 30 Ryan Truex and No. 15 Brennan Newberry were the rest of the top 5 on the speed chart. No. 10 Jennifer Jo Cobb was the slowest.

U.S. Pavement Services and 1-800-PAVEMENT are pleased to announce their sponsorship of Clay Greenfield and the #68 Dodge Ram at the NextEra Energy Resources 250 truck series race in Daytona.

This year, the black and yellow 1-800-PAVEMENT and U.S. Pavement Services logos will adorn Clay’s No. 68 truck for the 100-lap Camping World Truck Series race. Greenfield will be reunited with crew chief Danny Gill. Gill gave Clay his first driving opportunity in the series when he was owner of Team Gill Racing. Gill has worked with some of the most recognized drivers in truck series, such as Dennis Setzer, Johnny Benson and Steve Park.

He is one of the ‘go-or-go-homers’ required to qualify on speed. He ran a 37th fastest lap in the No. 68. This was not good enough to make the 36-truck field.

With only two starts in the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and one DNF, Clay Greenfield comes to Charlotte optimistic.

The daunting feat of running a truck team out of pocket was the only reason he was unable to start in Rockingham and Kansas. However, don’t count Clay Greenfield out. His Daytona performance was impressive with a career best 10th finish after avoiding several crashes and bringing his No. 68 Dodge across the finish line after three green white checkers. He went on to Martinsville but due to sway bar failure, Clay had to park the truck after completing just 151 of 250 laps landing him in 31st place.-Your Garage Connection PR

Clay Greenfield makes the most improvement in the series after the Camping World Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

He started 26th and his 10th place finish was 20 places better than his last NCWTS finish. This earned the No. 68 driver $2,200 and the Featherlite "Most Improved Driver" award. He is currently 9th in the 2012 NCWTS point standings.

Clay Greenfield will be driving the #68 Dodge in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday, February 24, 2012.

"I have never raced at Daytona but I am looking forward to the whole experience. We have a good motor from Ernie Elliot to go with this truck that finished 3rd in the 2010 Daytona race. Gene Patient has assembled a small but very talented group of guys that are more than capable of building a winning truck." Greenfield said. The team currently owns three trucks and will race as much as funding will allow.
