This will be his second appearance of 2014 following a DNF in the last race at Riverhead. Has three wins (Sept. 2007, July 2011, Sept. 2013), a pole, 16 top 10s and an average finish of ninth in 23 career NWMT starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.-NWMT

This will be his first NWMT appearance of 2014. In 43 career bullring races he’s recorded four wins, two poles, 26 top 10s and an average finish of 10.8. Has six top 10s, an average finish of 13th and a best result of second (2011) in 14 career Riverhead races.-NWMT

A veteran of 11 full-time seasons on the Whelen Modified Tour, Todd Szegedy is slated to make his first appearance of 2014 in the Hoosier Tire 200.

Szegedy will pilot Bill Park’s No. 20 Chevrolet this week at Riverhead, as well as the tour’s return to Long Island in September. The partnership also extends to a part-time schedule of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series modified features at the track this year. The Hoosier Tire 200 will actually be the first of three Whelen Modified Tour races in a row for Szegedy, who is slated to run the Rob Fuller Motorsports No. 15 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 11-12.

After eight years of a successful racing relationship, NASCAR Whelen Modified MS III team owner Mike Smeriglio and driver Todd Szegedy have mutually decided to part ways.

"Todd is a great driver and a better friend. We both feel a change after so many years is a way to attract new sponsors and pursue other racing opportunities for both of us," Smeriglio said. Phil Moran will continue on as the crew chief of the No. 2 team, and the search for a new driver will begin immediately.

Todd Szegedy (2 Chevrolet) brings a streak of seven straight NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour seasons finishing in the top five in the final standings to Thompson Speedway.

The 2003 titlist enters Thompson fifth in points, just two tallies ahead of Rowan Pennink. Szegedy sat 10th in points just two races ago, but a win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and a fourth-place finish in the Fall Final at Stafford Motor Speedway has positioned him to keep the streak alive.-NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour

Todd Szegedy (2 Chevrolet) has four wins, two pole, 27 top 10s and an average finish of 10th in 47 career Stafford (Conn.) Speedway starts.

He won the 2006 Fall Final held at the track. Szegedy currently ranks sixth in points after 12 events with a win and five top 10s. Won last time out at New Hampshire to end a career-long winless drought at 28 races.

Todd Szegedy (2 Chevrolet) dove underneath Donny Lia for the lead heading into Turn 3 of the white-flag lap and emerged with the victory Saturday afternoon in the F.W. Webb 100 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

In the process, he ended a career-long 28-race winless streak on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. NASCAR Spring Cup Series driver Ryan Newman made a late bid for the lead coming out of Turn 4 on the final lap but settled for second. Lia, Bobby Santos and Patrick Emerling rounded out the top five.
