Ryan Reed and the No. 16 team battled hard all race long at the ‘World’s Fastest Half-Mile’.

After a brief rain shower delayed the start of Friday’s race under the lights at Bristol, Reed rolled off 19th to start the 300-Lap event. From the drop of the green, he informed the team that he was battling a Mustang that was too tight in the center. The team continued to work on the handling. Reed battled hard inside the race car, bringing his No. 16 Mustang home with a 14th-place finish. With his 12th top-15 finish of the season he remains ninth in the NNS point standings heading to Atlanta Motor Speedway. -Roush Fenway Racing

Ryan Reed rallied to a 15th-place finish in his No. 16 American Diabetes Association Drive to Stop DiabetesSM presented by Lilly Diabetes Ford Mustang on Saturday night in the NASCAR Nationwide Series’ (NNS) second trip to Iowa Speedway, after battling a car that was loose on entry and tight on exit for the majority of the race.

Recapping Daytona: Reed earned his career-best NNS finish last Friday night under the lights at Daytona. He ran a strong race and avoided multiple late-race accidents, piloting his No. 16 Ford Mustang into fourth at the checkered flag. With his fourth-place finish at Daytona International Speedway, Reed is eligible in New Hampshire for the Dash 4 Cash. The team unloaded this car in Daytona, but was forced to a backup car after a qualifying accident.
