Scott Stenzel (No. 83 E2 Northeast Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado) finished 15th in Friday night's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona Int'l Speedway.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) team, Copp Motorsports announced its partnership with E2 Northeast Northeast Motorsports and Florida-based driver, Scott Stenzel for the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

It all started on dirt for the 37-year-old who was raised in southern Minnesota. With perseverance and a dream, Stenzel has found himself competing in the ARCA Racing Series, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). With a knack for high banks and drafting, Stenzel is eager for his first NCWTS start at the famed 2.5-mile tri-oval in the No. 83 E2 Northeast Motorsports Chevy.

Scott Stenzel gets the last qualifying slot open to teams outside of the top 25 in owner points for the Camping World Truck Series race.

The lap of 170.307 mph in the No. 63 truck was 34th fastest in qualifying. He will line up 36th at the green flag for the fred’s 250 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Scott Stenzel’s qualifying speed was not good enough to make the field for the Camping World Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

He ran a lap of 169.189 mph in the No. 63 truck. It was 38th quickest but not quick enough to make the field for tonight’s race.

Scott Stenzel will drive the #63 for Mike Mittler and MB Motorsports at the season-opening race in Daytona, as well as other select races this season.

Doug George will serve as crew chief. Stenzel ran two races for Mittler in 2012, with a best finish of 23rd in Kansas. (1-30-2013)-jayski.com
