Weeks after Tanner Berryhill was forced out of full-time NASCAR XFINITY Series competition due to a lack of sponsorship with his family-owned car, he is set to attempt his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at Phoenix International Raceway with Premium Motorsports in the No. 66 Chevrolet SS.

Berryhill, 21, has 40 NASCAR XFINITY Series starts since his debut in the series in 2012. 2014 saw full-time competition for Berryhill as he competed in the 33-event schedule, finishing 22nd in points. Berryhill earned a career and team best finish for Vision Racing of 17th at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Tanner Berryhill’s qualifying speed was not good enough to make the field for the Nationwide Series History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

He ran a lap of 163.255 mph in the No. 17 Chevrolet. It was 43rd quickest but not quick enough to make the field for the race.
