Ben Kennedy will be behind the wheel of the No. 2 Rheem Chevrolet for the XFINITY Series' season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

This will be Kennedy's first visit to the track for the series, but he has four starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at the 1.5-mile track. His best finish of fourth place came in 2015. Kennedy has piloted the No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro eight previous times this season and once in 2016.-Richard Childress Racing

Ben Kennedy (No. 2 Rheem Chevrolet Camaro) finished 11th in Saturday night's NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, KY.

He started 11th in the lineup and completed 199 of the 200 laps run. Kennedy entered 15 of the 27 NXS races so far this season and is 21st in the 2017 driver point standings after this event.

Ben Kennedy will be behind the wheel of the No. 2 Rheem Chevrolet Camaro for the eighth time this season for Richard Childress Racing (RCR).

Having previously raced for the team at road courses, short tracks and superspeedways, Kentucky Speedway will be the first intermediate track that he will race at with RCR. In his only previous start at the 1.5-mile oval in the NASCAR XFINITY Series, Kennedy finished 32nd after being derailed by an electrical issue. He has three NASCAR Camping World Tuck Series starts at the track, with his highest finish of 10th coming in 2014.-RCR

Ben Kennedy (No. 2 RTP/Rheem Chevrolet Camaro) tops the speed chart in the Final Practice session for the XFINITY Series US Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway.

He ran a fast lap of 129.929 mph. No. 20 Ryan Preece, No. 22 Sam Hornish Jr., No. 18 Kyle Benjamin and No. 11 Blake Koch round out the top-five of the 40 cars out on the track. The No. 40 Camaro, driven by Stan Mullis, was the slowest in the final practice session.

KMM is led by Kevin "Bono" Manion, a NASCAR championship-winning crew chief with wins in marquee races such as the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400. Daytona Beach native Ben Kennedy (No. 2 Rheem Chevrolet Camaro) will race at the speedway his family built for the first time as a NASCAR XFINITY Series driver this weekend.

Kennedy has three previous starts at Daytona International Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, with a best finish of 15th coming in 2014.
