Jason Hathaway finished second in Saturday's NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race at Sunset Speedway in Innisfil, Ontario.

He started the No. 3 Brakeworks/Fast Eddie/HGC Transport Chevrolet ninth in the lineup for the Leland Industries 300. He completed 299 laps of the 300 lap event. Hathaway took over the lead in the 2015 Canadian Tire Series championship standings. He leads Gary Klutt (who finished sixth in the race) by four points.

Won last week at Autodrome Chaudiere to defend his victory of the track’s 2014 inaugural NCATS event. Competed in four of the first six NASCAR Whelen All-American Series late model features at Sunset Speedway this year and posted three top 10s.

Jason Hathaway (No. 3 Fast Eddie/Brakeworks/HGC Chevrolet) said prior to the Budweiser 300 that to win the 100th race in the history of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 would be something special. He was able to do just that Saturday at Autodrome Chaudiere.

After race leader Scott Steckly experienced mechanical trouble battling Hathaway for the lead while leading on Lap 270, Hathaway sailed the final 30 laps to score his second consecutive win at the track and first of the season in the historic event.

Jason Hathaway, the Dutton, Ontario, native won the Wahta Springs 300 for the second year in a row.

It marked Hathaway's second NASCAR Canadian Tire Series victory of the season and fifth of his career. An accident on Lap 298 set up the green-white-checkered finish attempt. J.R. Fitzpatrick, looking for his first Barrie Speedway win and second oval victory, led by a nose at the white flag, but couldn't find a way around Hathaway for the checkered. Hathaway became the first back-to-back winner at the track since Scott Steckly won both series events at the .333-mile tri-oval in 2008.

Jason Hathaway was credited with a 30th place DNF in Sunday's NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario.

He started the No. 3 Princess Auto/Rockstar Energy Drink Chevrolet 11th on the grid for the Clarington 200. On lap 39 of the 51 lap race, the No. 3 was 'off the pace' and he was ordered to pull over to a safe area. Hathaway was done for the day. He is currently 6th in the 2014 Canadian Tire Series championship standings after this event.

Defending Wilson Equipment 300 winner Jason Hathaway is off to a fast start in an effort to make it two-in-a-row in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 action at Riverside International Speedway.

Hathaway, from Dutton, Ontario, posted a fast lap of 14.453 seconds (82.945 mph) in the second of two 30-minute sessions this afternoon. He was second on the board in first practice at 14.605 (82.081) on the .333-mile high banks.
