Jason Hathaway (#3 Raybestos/HGC/Fast Eddie Chevrolet) finished seventh in Friday night's NASCAR Pinty's Series (NPS) CRS Express 300 at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec.

Jason Hathaway (#3 Fast Eddie/Choko/HGC/Raybestos Chevrolet) finished 17th in Saturday night's NASCAR Pinty's Series (NPS) Leland Industries 300 at Sunset Speedway in Innisfil, Ontario.

He started 12th in the lineup and completed 174 laps of the 300-lap event. Hathaway, who competed in both series races so far this season season, is currently seventh in the 2016 NPS championship standings.

His 80.032 mph lap was the quickest of the 19 cars out on the track for the first practice session. #59 Gary Klutt, #56 Matthew Scannell, #48 Dwayne Baker and #76 Cayden Lapcevich are the rest of the top five on the speed chart. #25 Josh Collins was the slowest.

He started sixth in the lineup and completed all laps of the 51-lap event. He led a race-high 31 laps. In 2015, Hathaway competed in all of the series 11 races, scored three wins, six top-fives, nine top-10s and finished second in the final championship standings.

Like 22 Racing (Top Team), Ed Hakonson Racing has been a mainstay since the series was launched in 2007, and has participated in all 109 events with Jason Hathaway behind the wheel. Despite coming four points shy of the crown, it was still a banner year for EHR, whose previous best championship finish was third in 2013. The No. 3 Fast Eddie Racewear/Choko/HGC Chevrolet team also recorded it’s first-ever road course victory.-NCTS

Jason Hathaway (Honorable Mention), the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (NCTS) points runner-up tied Scott Steckly for the series lead with three wins, a career-best.

Hathaway’s success started when he defended his 2014 victory at Autodrome Chaudiere, which moved him to the championship lead that he would maintain for three subsequent races. He later became just the second driver in series history to win the final two events on the schedule – Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Kawartha Speedway – but fell just short of what would have been his first title.-NCTS

After nearly 34,000 votes were cast around the world for NASCAR regional touring series’ 2015 Most Popular Driver Awards, seven drivers (Rico Abreu, Nicole Behar, Jason Hathaway, Rodrigo Marban, Alon Day, Melissa Fifield and Trey Hutchens earned the ultimate honor from fans.

Jason Hathaway (St. Thomas, Ont.) was chosen for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1. This was the closest race since series championship runner-up Hathaway edged Alex Tagliani by just 104 votes. It is the second year in a row in which Tagliani missed out on the top spot by a slim margin. Last year, he was beaten by JR Fitzpatrick by just 48 votes.-NASCAR Home Tracks

Jason Hathaway did everything he could to bring the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 championship home for the first time.

In the end, he couldn't keep Scott Steckly from making history. Hathaway led the most laps Saturday night in winning the season-ending Pinty's 250 at Kawartha Speedway. Steckly's No. 22 Canadian Tire Dodge followed him across the line in second and that was enough to give him his fourth NASCAR Canadian Tire Series championship. Hathaway qualified fourth in the No. 3 HGC/Williamson/Choko Chevrolet and dominated the event en route to his third win of the season, while Steckly was content to bring it home in the runner-up spot and ensure he would recapture the crown.-NASCAR Canadian Tire Series

Jason Hathaway has raced in every event in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. He's been a race winner and a championship contender.

After Sunday's race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, he can add highlight to his résumé: Road-course winner. Hathaway, a self-professed "oval guy" held off road-course aces L.P. Dumoulin and Jeff Lapcevich following a late-race restart to win the Pinty's presents the Clarington 200. This moved the 38-year-old from St. Thomas, Ontario, to second in the championship standings heading into the season finale at Kawartha Speedway on Sept. 19.
