Jeff Lapcevich and the Fastline Motorsports team will return to NASCAR Canadian Tire Series competition in 2014.
The Grimsby veteran will once again partner with Tim Hortons for a landmark 25th season. The (No. 76 Dodge) team will look to open up 2014 on the same note they departed the 2013 campaign with, after a podium finish in the final event at Kawartha Speedway. Jeff Lapcevich captures his first career pole award Saturday at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in advance of Sunday’s Pinty’s presents the Clarington 200.

Lapcevich toured the 2.459-mile road course in rural Bowmanville in 1:24.087 (105.277 mph) for the first pole in his 52nd career start. From Grimsby, Ontario, Lapcevich finished as the runner-up in the season-opening event at CTMP. On Sunday he’ll look to follow up his first career pole with his first trip to Victory Lane in the No. 76 Tim Hortons Dodge.

Jeff Lapcevich finished ninth in last year’s JuliaWine.com 100.

He scored a GP3R-best finish of fourth in 2007 and 2011; has a top-10 finish in all five of his Trois-Rivieres starts and has posted a top-10 finish in four of his last five series starts dating back to last season. Lapcevich changed car number to 76 from 23 to honor the passing of his father, Joe, earlier this year.-NASCAR PR
