NASCAR K&N Pro Series East regular Kyle Benjamin, driving the No. 20 ToyotaCare Toyota, tops the speed chart in the Final Practice session for the XFINITY Series ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Int'l Raceway.

Kyle Benjamin (No. 40 MDM Motorsports Toyota) capitalized on a late-race restart to win the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville (SC) Pickens Speedway on Saturday night.

Benjamin started on the pole after running a track record lap of 19.144 seconds at 94.024 mph. He ran inside the top-five nearly all night long and led 46 laps. Ronnie Bassett, Jr., who entered the night coming off his first-career NKNPSE victory at New Smyrna Speedway, finished second on Saturday. Rounding out the top-five was Todd Gilliland, Harrison Burton and Tyler Dippel.

Kyle Benjamin, a native of Easley, South Carolina destroyed the track record in group qualifying to sit on the 21 Means 21 Pole for Saturday’s Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville Pickens Speedway.

Benjamin, driver of the No. 40 MDM Motorsports Toyota ran a lap of 19.144 seconds at 94.024 mph to capture the pole on Saturday afternoon. The previous track record was a lap of 20.534 seconds at 87.659 mph set by Brett Moffitt back in April of 2011. The newly paved corners at Greenville Pickens Speedway is what’s attributing to the faster lap times. Last season, Benjamin finished second at the speedway during the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East’s visit in March, and he won the September race.

Joe Gibbs Racing announced today that Kyle Benjamin will drive four NASCAR XFINITY Series races during the 2017 season.

Benjamin, 19, will make his NASCAR XFINITY Series debut in JGR’s No. 20 Camry at Richmond International Raceway on April 29 and then race Pocono Raceway on June 10. He will pilot the No. 18 Camry for JGR on July 29 at Iowa Speedway and again on September 23 at Kentucky Speedway. In 2015, Benjamin was named a member of the NASCAR Next program and ran his first full season in the NASCAR K&N East Series and picked up his first victory at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Kyle Benjamin (No. 40 MDM Motorsports Toyota) is making his 2017 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East debut at Greenville (SC) Pickens Speedway.

Finished second in the final K&N East standings in 2016 with three wins, nine top fives and 11 top 10s in 14 races. Swept both pole positions at Greenville last season, finishing second in this race and winning the fall race at the track. Is second all-time in laps led at Greenville with 262 and is the only driver entered this weekend with a win at the track. Has an average starting position of 4.7 and average finishing position of 5.0 in three career starts at Greenville.

Ranier Racing with MDM driver Kyle Benjamin challenged 2016 Champion Justin Haley the entire NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season for the top spot with the score finally being settled at Dover.

The NASCAR Next alum scored three wins, including the finale at Dover, and finished just 22 points behind Haley. The 19-year-old from Easley, South Carolina also notched nine top-five and 11 top-10 finishes throughout the season and led a total of 582 laps in 2016. Kyle Benjamin dominated the Dover 125 Friday en route to his third NASCAR K&N Pro Series East win of the season.

Justin Haley and Kyle Benjamin led the way as NASCAR's youth movement conquered the "Monster Mile." It was Haley who lifted the big championship trophy at Dover International Speedway, while Benjamin took the final NASCAR K&N Pro Series East checkered flag of 2016. Benjamin did everything he could in his No. 40 Ranier Racing with MDM Chevrolet. The 19-year-old NASCAR Next alum from Easley, South Carolina, led the most laps (84) and won for the third time on the season. A late caution pushed the race to 126 laps, but Benjamin was able to pull away from the field on the green-white-checkered finish to secure the victory.

Kyle Benjamin led all 150 laps in the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140 en route to his second NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory of year.

Benjamin was the car to beat throughout the day at Greenville (S.C.) Pickens Speedway. He led the final practice session as well as collected his fifth 21 Means 21 Pole Award. This win was all about redemption for Benjamin, who finished runner-up to Justin Haley at Greenville in March after leading a total of 122 laps. The NASCAR Next alum’s victory helped close the gap in the series championship standings. Benjamin now trails Haley by 30 points with only two races remaining in the season.
