He started second in the lineup and completed all laps of the 153-lap event. Benjamin, who competed in all seven K&N East series races so far this season, dropped one spot to third in the 2016 NKNPSE championship point standings after this event.

He started fifth in the lineup and completed all 100 laps run. Heading into this race, Benjamin, who made two of the eight series races so far this season, was 52nd in the 2016 ARCA championship standings (official standings not listed at this time).

Kyle Benjamin (#40 FEVR Chevrolet) was credited with a 23rd place DNF in Monday's NASCAR K&N Pro Series-East ComServe Wireless 150 at the Dominion Raceway in Thornburg, VA.

He started on the pole and led 137 of the first 140 laps in the 150-lap event. With about 12 laps to go (while leading), Benjamin and Dillon Bassett got together and both drivers continued to bang on each other under caution. NASCAR parked both drivers for the remainder of the race. Benjamin, who was tied with Justin Haley for the 2016 KNSPE points lead heading into Dominion, dropped to second, 19 points behind Haley after this race.

Kyle Benjamin, a race winner in both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and the ARCA Racing Series, will compete in select 2016 events in both series for Ranier Racing with MDM.

Starting with the Feb. 14 race at New Smyrna Speedway, the season opener for the K&N East, Benjamin will pilot the #40 Chevrolet for the recently announced pairing of Lorin Ranier, a longtime NASCAR driver development consultant, and the pre-existing MDM-Hillman Racing team. 2013 K&N East championship-winning crew chief Mardy Lindley will serve in the same capacity for Benjamin in all of his K&N East and ARCA starts. In ARCA competition, he'll sport the #28 Chevrolet, a number utilized by the likes of Buddy Baker, Benny Parsons, Cale Yarbrough, Bobby Allison and Davey Allison while driving for Ranier Racing.-Rising Star Management Group
