The last time he was on a superspeedway, Chad Boat steered his No. 84 Chevrolet towards the front of the field in Talladega before a he was caught up in a late race accident ending his day.
He is eager to get to Daytona International Speedway this week for the running of the Subway Firecracker 250 on Friday night. Boat will be making his second career start at the Daytona having finished 24th in the season opening event at the 2.5-mile track. The team is outside the top 30 in owner’s points and not guaranteed a start in this weekend’s NNS race. Based on NASCAR's time trial procedure, upon completion of the first round of qualifying, the 40 eligible cars for starting positions 1-40 is determined. His car was listed as 41st on the chart.

NASCAR Nationwide Series rookie driver Chad Boat and his Billy Boat Motorsports team return to action this Friday night at Kentucky Speedway.

He will once again pilot his No. 84 Chevrolet in the running of the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign 300 at the 1.5-mile track in Sparta, Kentucky. Boat will be making his second career start at the Kentucky having finished fifth in the ARCA Racing Series event at the track last year. Iowa Speedway is a return to familiar ground for the Chad Boat, the 22-year old "Rising Star".

On Sunday, Boat will pilot his No. 84 Chevrolet in the running of the Get To Know Newton 250 which will mark his fourth career start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series as well as his fourth start at the Newton, Iowa track. Rookie driver Chad Boat heads to Talladega Superspeedway for the third career start for both driver and team in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Boat will once again be behind the wheel of the No. 84 Chevrolet for the running of the Aaron's 312. "I am really looking forward to racing this weekend at Talladega," said Boat. "I have never raced there but did some testing a few years ago in an ARCA car at the track." Chad Boat showed tremendous poise and patience in his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut on Saturday at Daytona International Speedway.

The 21-year old rookie safely qualified the No. 84 Billy Boat Motorsports Chevrolet into the 40 car field and would go on to survive a few different obstacles during the course of the DRIVE4COPD 300 to safely come home with a 24th-place finish in the season opening event. Chad Boat led the Sunday morning Nationwide Series Preseason Thunder test session at Daytona International Speedway.

His speed of 187.778 mph in the No. 84 Chevrolet Camaro was the best of the 18 cars out on the track running in this session. No. 32 Kyle Larson, No. 16 Ryan Reed, No. 43 Dakoda Armstrong and No. 60 Chris Buescher are the rest of the top five in this group. No. 2 Brian Scott was the slowest.

Billy Boat Motorsports announced today that they will field the No. 84 Chevrolet driven by Chad Boat in the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Boat began his motorsports career at the age of five running quarter midgets in his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. At just 15-years old, he was well on his way to a promising racing career after earning multiple championships across different series and winning races at the national level of the USAC open-wheel ranks before making the transition to stock car racing in 2011. Over the last three years, Boat has accumulated 26 starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and 10 starts in the ARCA Racing Series, where he scored four top-five and six top-10 finishes. The now 21-year old will contend for Rookie of the Year honors this coming season in the NNS.-Integrity Sports Marketing
