Scott Heckert, the 21-year-old from Ridgefield, Connecticut, earned his third NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory Saturday night in the NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 at Bowman Gray Stadium.
Heckert's two previous wins came last year on road-courses: New York's Watkins Glen International and VIRginia International Raceway. Saturday on the flat quarter-mile of Bowman Gray, he was flat out dominating. He was quickest in practice, won the Coors Light Pole Award and led all 150 laps of the race. Scott Heckert led an HScott Motorsports With Justin Marks sweep in NASCAR K&N Pro Series East qualifying Saturday at Bowman Gray Stadium.

Heckert earned his first Coors Light Pole Award of the season and fourth of his career, and will lead the NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 to green Saturday night. Heckert's No. 34 Project Lifesaver Chevrolet took the top spot with a lap of 14.445 seconds (62.305 mph) around the quarter-mile flat track. His rookie teammates, J.J. Haley, Dalton Sargeant and William Byron took the next three spots, while Rico Abreu qualified sixth.

Scott Heckert is the only driver in the HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks lineup who has previously competed in the NKNPSE on a full-time basis.

In 2014, he raced for Turner Scott Motorsports in the NKNPSE compiling two wins and three poles en-route to an eight-place finish in the final Driver Point Standings. The 21-year-old looks to build upon a great 2014 campaign by starting the season on a high note with his No. 34 Project Lifesaver Chevrolet. In 2014, Heckert's only career start at New Smyrna Speedway in the NKNPSE, he brought home a 21st-place finish following some late-race contact. The Connecticut native looks to turn the tide and make a run for the NKNPSE Championship with a strong finish in the season opener this time around. Harry Scott Jr. announced today the formation of HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks, a NASCAR K&N Pro Series East team that will compete full-time in 2015.

They will field four teams with returning driver Scott Heckert, and Rookie of the Year contenders William Byron, J.J. Haley and Dalton Sargeant. Last season, Heckert, 21, of Ridgefield, CT posted K&N Pro Series East wins at both Watkins Glen and Virginia International Raceway. He also earned three poles and finished eighth in the series point standings. A student at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Heckert will graduate in 2016 with a mechanical engineering degree. While not on track, Heckert will work as an intern for HScott Motorsports' NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team this season.-Spire Sports Inc.

Scott Heckert scores a third place finish in Friday night's NASCAR K&N Pro Series-East season finale at Dover (DE) International Speedway.

He started the No. 34 Project Lifesaver Chevrolet eighth in the lineup for the Driver Sober 150. Heckert closed out the 2014 season eighth in the K&N Pro Series-East point standings.

Scott Heckert (No. 34 Project Lifesaver Chevrolet) earned his first career victory at Watkins Glen on Aug. 8.

Followed that up with a victory at Virginia International Raceway on Aug. 16. Has two wins, three poles, five top fives and nine top 10s in 29 career K&N Pro Series East starts. Is tenth in the season standings. Finished 23rd at Dover International Speedway last season.
