Started the No. 88 Buzz Chew Chevrolet/Elbow East Chevrolet 11th in the lineup for the Andy Blacksmith 100. Completed all laps of the 100-lap race (led seven laps) and is currently second in the 2015 Whelen Modified Tour championship standings, four points behind leader Ryan Preece.

Not even the late-race invert of the leaders could derail Woody Pitkat’s plans to return to Victory Lane at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Pitkat took the lead for the sixth and final time in the last circuit of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s All-Star Shootout and held off Ryan Preece and Donny Lia in a dash to the finish in Friday’s 35-lap non-points event. Leading at the Lap 20 break, an invert of the top six in the running order sent Pitkat from the first to the third rows to restart with 15 to go. He quickly moved his way back into contention and to the lead with three to go. As the three-way battle developed, Preece held the point position at the white flag, but Pitkat came out on top. It marked the second victory in a row for Pitkat at the "Magic Mile." He won the 100-lap points race there last September.

Woody Pitkat, the Stafford, Connecticut driver claimed his third career Coors Light Pole Award in early evening qualifying Wednesday at Thompson (CT) Speedway Motorsport Park for the night's Mr. Rooter 125.

All three of Pitkat's NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour poles have come at the .625-mile oval. Pitkat went out 29th of 30 cars in his No. 88 TSI Harley Davidson/Buzz Chew Chevrolet/Elbow East Chevrolet, and posted a lap of 18.854 seconds (119.338 mph) to knock Doug Coby off the provisional pole. Coby settled for the other front row spot with a lap of 18.889 (119.117) in his No. 2 Dunleavy's Repair/HEX Performance Chevrolet. Keith Rocco qualified third at 18.952 (118.721). Corey LaJoie and Timmy Solomito rounded out the top five.

Woody Pitkat, the 35-year-old Stafford, Connecticut, driver powered to the victory in the NAPA Spring Sizzler 200, the traditional season-opening event for Stafford Motor Speedway.

In the process, the driver of the No. 88 Buzz Chew Chevrolet/Elbow East Chevrolet became the first hometown driver to win the prestigious NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event. It was Pitkat's third career tour win. He scored his first career win last year in the August event at Stafford before following it up with a win a month later at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Sunday, Pitkat led the last 40 laps after muscling his way past Todd Szegedy through the bottom of Turn 3. It was the last of 11 lead changes.
