Clint King will be pulling double-duty efforts at Daytona Int'l Speedway during Speedweeks 2017. Not only will he be piloting the Lira Motorsports' No. 58 Ford in ARCA's Lucas Oil Complete Engine Treatment 200 Saturday, he will be competing in the XFINITY Series race the following weekend for BJ McLeod Motorsports in the No. 99 entry.

The 21-year-old won’t have to turn far for support in his ARCA Daytona debut. Lira Motorsports, in an alliance with Josh Williams Motorsports (JWM), will have Michael Lira aboard the No. 6 Ford Fusion, giving King a much-welcomed wingman. Industry veteran Keith Wolfe will serve as crew chief for King’s ARCA effort.

Clint King returns to the ARCA Racing Series next month for the Lucas Oil Complete Engine Treatment 200 driven by General Tire at Daytona International Speedway Sat. Feb. 18 driving for Lira Motorsports.

King who last competed in the development series in 2013 will jumpstart his ARCA return by partaking in the open ARCA test session at the 2.5-mile superspeedway this weekend (Jan. 13-14) in one of two Lira Motorsports entries. The 21-year-old driver is also utilizing the first ARCA race of 2017 to earn his NASCAR superspeedway clearance in order to compete in the NASCAR XFINITY Series season-opener the following week, Sat., Feb. 25. Last year, King competed in three XFINITY Series races at Richmond International Raceway, Charlotte Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway with B.J. McLeod Motorsports earning respectable finishes, while gaining invaluable seat time.

Only four weeks after making his NASCAR XFINITY Series debut, Clint King has been given another opportunity to prove why he belongs in one of the sport’s top-three national series.

King will make his Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway debut in Friday night’s Drive for the Cure 300 aboard the No. 15 BJ McLeod Motorsports Ford Mustang on Oct. 7.

Clint King (No. 07 Toyota Camry) topped the speed charts on Thursday at NASCAR K&N Pro Series East practice at Richmond International Raceway for the Blue Ox 100.

King, a Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender out of Denton, N.C., got around the .75-mile D-shaped oval in 22.567 seconds for and average speed of 119.644 mph on his fourth lap of the 80-minute session. Jesse Little was second at 22.663 seconds (119.295 mph) followed by Scott Heckert at 22.634 seconds (119.290 mph). Brodie Kostecki at 22.744 seconds (118.713 mph) and Cameron Hayley with a time of 22.795 mph (118.447 mph) were fourth and fifth, respectively.
