Rubén Rovelo (No. 28 Grupo Top/ZTE/Potosinos/PPG Chevrolet) won the Northern Transportation Grand Prix, the fourth race in the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series, held in the International Triad of Cajititlán Sunday afternoon.

This was his this season and his second at this track. Homero Richards finished second, Santiago Tovar third, pole-sitter Salvador de Alba Jr. fourth and Luis Felipe Montano was fifth. Hugo Oliveras, Rogelio López, Manolín Gutiérrez, Jorge Goeters and Enrique Baca rounded out the rest of the top-ten.

Rubén Rovelo (No. 28 Grupo Top/ZTE/Potosinos/PPG Chevrolet) led the second practice for the NASCAR Peak Mexico Series Northern Transportation Grand Prix at Triovalo Internacional de Cajititlan in Jalisco, Mexico.

A 30.588 second lap was the quickest of the 26 cars out on the track for the second practice session. No. 48 Salvador De Alba Jr., No. 77 Xavi Razo, No. 31 Jorge Goeters and No. 2 Abraham Calderon are the rest of the top five on the speed chart. No. 30 Victor Barrales was the slowest.

Rubén Rovelo, driver of the No. 28 Grupo Top/ZTE/Potosinos Chevrolet, finished second in the April 23 NASCAR Peak Mexico Series (NPMS) Canel’s 200.

He started fifth in the lineup and completed all laps of the 147-lap race at Autodromo Potosino in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Ruben Rovelo, the No. 28 ZTE-HO Speed Racing driver, won the 32-lap Difrenosa 120 on Sunday afternoon at Mexico's Autodromo Monterrey.

This was the opener for the NASCAR Peak Mexico Series 2017 season. Second place went to car No. 6 driver Rogelio López, of Akron-Escudería Telmex, while the local No. 18 Rafael Martínez completed the podium. No. 31 Jorge Goeters and No. 19 Héctor Aguirre completed the top-five, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively. Carlos Peralta was sixth, followed by Rubén García Jr. (who won the pole for the race), Michel Jourdain, Abraham Calderón and Luis Felipe Montaño rounded out the rest of the top-10.

Rubén Rovelo (#28 G3C - GESTI Dodge) finished 14th in the November 22nd NASCAR Mexico Series season-ending RedCo 240 at Súper Óvalo Chiapas in Chiapas, Mexico.

In 2015, the Race Planet driver scored three wins (April 12th and September 13th at Autódromo Potosino; and April 26th at Súper Óvalo Chiapas), eight top-fives, 13 top-10s, earned 1195 points and finished second in the final 2015 Mexico Series driver championship standings, 18 points behind 2015 Champion Ruben Garcia Jr.

Rubén Rovelo (No. 28 Ruville - G3C - GESTI Dodge) finished third in Sunday's NASCAR Mexico Series Amozoc 240 at Autódromo Miguel E. Abed in Puebla, Mexico.

He completed all laps of the 120 scheduled in the ninth race of the season. Rovelo is currently second in the 2015 NMS Championship standings, 24 points behind leader Irwin Vences.

Rubén Rovelo collected his second straight NASCAR Mexico Series win in the RedCo 240 at Súper Óvalo Chiapas.

It marked Rovelo's third win in the last five series races dating back to the visit to Tuxtla last October. Rovelo used lapped traffic on the .75-mile tri-oval to maneuver his No. 28 G3C Racing Team/GESTI Dodge past race leader Felipe Luis Montaño and take the win. It was Rovelo's 10th career win and the first time he's won back-to-back races. Montaño settled for second and Irwin Vences was third. Hugo Oliveras and pole sitter Ruben Garcia Jr. rounded out the top five.-NASCAR Mexico Series

Rubén Rovelo's roller coaster afternoon ended up in Victory Lane Sunday as he claimed the checkered flag in the Potosina 200 at Super Ovalo Potosina.

It was the ninth career NASCAR Mexico Series win for the Mexico City driver. Earlier Sunday, Rovelo spun during qualifying and his No. 28 G3C Racing/GESTI Dodge suffered rear damage following contact with the wall. The team replaced the bumper bar and he started the race at the tail of the field. Rovelo moved to the front on Lap 111 and led the rest of the way to secure the win on the half-mile oval.

He started the No. 28 G3C Racing Team Chevrolet fourth on the grid for the Toyota 120. He completed 33 of the 120 laps run.

Ruben Rovelo (No. 28 Chevrolet) recorded the fastest overall lap in the NASCAR Mexico Series two-hour practice for the season opener, the Toyota 120 at Phoenix International Raceway.

He posted a lap of 28.548 seconds around the one-mile paved oval. Rogelio Lopez (28.566 seconds) and Antonio Perez (28.568 seconds) were second and third. Last year’s fastest qualifier Ruben Pardo, earned the fourth spot. Last year he recorded a track record of 28.850 seconds/124.783 mph. The top-six finishers from today’s practice all recorded faster times. Last year’s series champion Abraham Calderon rounded out the top-five. Homero Richards, Jose Luis Ramirez, Hugo Oliveras, Oscar Torres Jr and Irwin Vences completed the top 10.-NASCAR Mexico Series

Rubén Rovelo (Honorable Mention as Comeback Driver of 2014) finished the season third in the championship standings after putting together a solid numbers in 2014.

The 26-year-old earned his seventh and eighth career series wins, his first trips to Victory Lane since Aug. 2012, to go along with his six top fives and nine top 10s. His 14 races left him one shy of a full season but earned him honorable mention on this year-end list.-NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series

Rubén Rovelo finishes ninth in Sunday's NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series race at the Autodromo Miguel E. Abed (Puebla, Mexico).

He started the No. 28 G3C Racing Team/Gesti Toyota 13th on the grid for the Ficrea 240, the fifth event in the five-race Desafio to determine the NMTS Champion. One of the 12 playoff eligible drivers, he closed out the 2014 season third in the NMTS point standings.

The semi-final race of the 2014 NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series gave fans everything they could have hoped for, drama, lead changes, lots of passing and in the end it was Rubén Rovelo who found his way to Victory Lane.

The driver of the No. 28 G3C Racing Team/Gesti Toyota won the rain-shortened RedCo 240 at the Súper Óvalo Chiapas, completing 182 of the scheduled 200 laps. It was the eighth victory in 127 starts for Rovelo and his second of the season. The NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series will conclude its championship season on Nov. 9 in Puebla. Abraham Calderón takes a four-point lead over Ruben García Jr., 1163 to 1159, to the Autódromo Miguel E. Abed. Rovelo is nine points out at 1154 with Ruben Pardo not far behind at 1152.
