On May 5th at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC, 12 drivers were formally announced as the NASCAR Next Class of 2015, a group of up-and-coming talent that joins the industry program aimed at spotlighting NASCAR’s emerging stars.

Drivers must be between the ages of 15-25, have tangible and expressed goals in eventual competition in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and demonstrate the potential to realize that goal. Each driver in NASCAR Next must be actively competing in a NASCAR touring or weekly series. He started the No. 22 A&D Welding/Don Rich Ford Ford 11th in the lineup for the PittLite 125. He is currently second in the 2015 K&N Pro Series-East championship point standings.

Austin Hill leads the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice session at Daytona International Speedway.

He ran a quick lap of 188.509 mph in the No. 82 A&D Welding Ford F-150. No. 94 Travis Kvapil, No. 05 John Wes Townley, No. 88 Matt Crafton and No. 33 Ty Dillon round out the top five of the 36 trucks practicing for the NextEra Energy Resources 250. Ryan Ellis in the No. 28 Chevrolet Silverado was the slowest.

Offseason did nothing to slow down Austin Hill.

The 20-year-old picked up right where he left off last year in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, leading every lap Saturday in winning the Hart To Heart 150 Breast Cancer Foundation 150 at New Smyrna Speedway. The NASCAR Next driver won his first career 21 Means 21 Pole Award and then survived a challenge on a green-white-checkered from rookie Dalton Sargeant to earn the win. Hill finished 2014 with back-to-back wins at South Carolina’s Greenville Pickens Speedway and Dover International Speedway.

Austin Hill won his first 21 Means 21 Pole Awards presented by Coors Light Award Sunday in qualifying for the Hart To Heart Breast Cancer Foundation 150.

Hill, who closed the 2014 season with back-to-back wins, earned the pole in his 24th career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East start. The 20-year-old from Winston, Georgia, had a lap of 18.483 seconds (93.491 mph) around the .48-mile high-banked oval. Kaz Grala qualified second at 18.526 (93.274), followed by Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender William Byron at 18.532 (93.244). Gray Gaulding and Scott Hecker rounded out the top five. Rico Abreu, Kyle Benjamin, Nick Drake, Dalton Sargeant and Codie Rohrbaugh completed the top 10.

Austin Hill (Honorable Mention as KNPSE Top Breakthrough Performer) had seat time in the K&N Pro Series accumulating seven starts, including a signature win at Dover in 2013.

He compiled a breakout 2014 season nabbing a pair of wins and finishing fifth in points. Hill had seven top five finishes, including a runner-up at Daytona and a third-place at Bowman Gray Stadium. Austin Hill will make his second series start in the No. 92 ARCO Design/Build Ford F-150 in Friday's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Ford Ecoboost 200 at Miami Homestead Speedway.

In Hill's first outing with the team at Martinsville last month, a broken wheel relegated the No. 92 Ford to a 26th-place finish. Hill did lead 21 laps prior to the wheel issue. RBR Enterprises will be bringing chassis T-6 to Homestead for the Ford Ecoboost 200. This is the same chassis that Scott Riggs raced at Charlotte back in May.-Red Flag Communications

Has three wins, eight top fives and 12 top 10s in 23 career K&N Pro Series East starts. Finished the 2014 K&N East season ranked 5th in the championship standings. Made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Martinsville. Led 21 laps in the race. Member of 2014-15 NASCAR Next class.

Austin Hill will be behind the wheel of its No. 92 BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors/Goodyear FleetHQ/A&D Welding/Wynn's Ford F-150 in this weekend's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Kroger 200 at Martinsville Speedway.

Hill, a two-time winner in 2014 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, will be making his first NCWTS attempt. Hill follows Corey LaJoie in the seat of the No. 92. LaJoie had an RBR season best 10th place finish in the team's last effort at Bristol in August, but is focusing on the Nationwide Series for the remainder of 2014. Knowing that RBR needed a driver to finish its season, racing veterans Phil Parson and Mike Herman reached out to Benton to make a pitch for putting Hill behind the wheel of the No. 92.-RBR Enterprises

Austin Hill masters Dover International Speedway's 'Monster Mile'. Again.

The 20-year-old from Winston, Georgia, returned to the track where he recorded his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East win a year ago and put on a dominating display Friday in the Driver Sober 150. Not even a tire issue could keep Hill from becoming the first driver since 1997 to close out the series season with back-to-back wins. Hill's No. 22 A&D Welding/Don Rich Ford outdistanced Kaz Grala by 5.136 seconds to take the checkered flag. Hill joined Brett Moffitt as the only series drivers to win twice on the one-mile, high-banked concrete oval.

Austin Hill wins Saturday night's NASCAR K&N Pro Series race at Greenville (SC) Pickens Speedway.

He started the No. 22 Welding/Don Rich Ford fifth in the lineup for the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140. Hill led the most laps (the last 58 of the 140 run) and went on to score his first win of 2014 and second of his NKNPS-East career. He is currently seventh in the 2014 K&N Pro Series-East point standings after this event.
