The average speed of 118.363 mph was best of the eight cars that ran 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. No. 9 Chase Elliott, No. 7 Regan Smith, No. 3 Ty Dillon and No. 18 Daniel Suarez are the rest of the top five on this list.

Josh Berry, a two-time late model champion for JR Motorsports (JRM), has been selected to drive the No. 88 Speedco Chevrolet Camaro in the upcoming NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Richmond International Raceway on Sept. 11.

A 24-year-old native of Hendersonville, Tenn., Berry will make his first NXS start since running two races for JRM in 2014 (Homestead-Miami Speedway and Iowa Speedway). Berry has racked up nine wins in JRM’s No. 88 Speedco late model this season and stands as JRM’s only multi-time champion, notching two NASCAR Whelen All-America Series track championships (Motor Mile Speedway in 2012 and Hickory Motor Speedway in 2014). All totaled, he owns 24 victories for JRM during his late model career.-JR Motorsports

This weekend, Josh Berry will pilot the No. 5 Chevrolet as a teammate to Regan Smith. When Smith raced the No. 5 car to victory in his JRM debut at Homestead two years ago, Berry worked on the team as an interior mechanic.

Berry made his Nationwide Series debut at Iowa Speedway on Aug. 2, 2014. Despite limited testing and practice time, Berry qualified 10th and raced inside the top 15 the entire night en route to a 12th-place finish. The 23-year-old Henderson, Tenn., native raced JR Motorsports’ No. 88 late model throughout the southeast this season. Racing primarily at Hickory Motor Speedway, Berry earned track champion honors with nine victories.-JR Motorsports

JR Motorsports champion late model driver Josh Berry, who made his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut last month, will get his second opportunity behind the wheel of the No. 5 Ragu Chevrolet Camaro at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 15.

Last weekend, Berry won his second track championship and first at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway. His 2014 campaign included nine wins, eight at Hickory and a mammoth 34-point margin of victory in the title race despite skipping one weekend to compete in the Nationwide Series on Aug. 2. In that race, Berry started 10th and finished 12th in the No. 5 Chevrolet with Ernie Cope as his crew chief.-JR Motorsports

Josh Berry is a 23-year-old Hendersonville, Tenn. native who began driving for JR Motorsports’ Late Model program in 2010.

In 2012, he earned the team’s first track championship at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Va. This weekend he will pilot JRM's No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro in the Nationwide Series race at Iowa Speedway. This weekend will not mark Berry’s first trip to Iowa Speedway. In May, Berry traveled to Iowa with JRM’s teams and served as spotter for Regan Smith during practice.
