In a one-lap dash that followed the 23rd caution of an action-filled race, Scott Pruett drove away from Ganassi Racing teammate Scott Dixon on Sunday to win the Rolex 24 Grand-Am season opener at Daytona's road course.
In leading teammates Joey Hand, Memo Rojas and Graham Rahal to a fourth Daytona Prototype division victory for owner Chip Ganassi, Pruett won the overall title in the Rolex 24 for the fourth time. In all divisions combined, Pruett has six Rolex 24 wins. Chip Ganassi Racing's Juan Pablo Montoya, driving the No. 01 Lexus / Riley, and his team finished second in the Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Ganassi couldn’t win its fourth consecutive Rolex 24 At Daytona as David Donohue, driving a Brumos Racing Porsche, was able to outmuscle Juan Pablo Montoya, who was driving a Chip Ganassi Racing Lexus. Donohue, the son of legendary racer Mark Donohue, led the final 14 laps and finished 0.167 seconds ahead of the Ganassi car co-driven by Montoya, Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas. Donohue, who also competed in 12 Nationwide Series races and three Truck series races for Team Rensi Motorsports in 2001, celebrated the victory with co-drivers Darren Law, Buddy Rice and Antonio Garcia.

Defending Grand-Am Rolex 24 At Daytona winners Chip Ganassi Racing announced a two-car effort for the Rolex Sports Car Series’ 47th running of the prestigious Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Juan Pablo Montoya, Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas will unite to form the driver lineup in the No. 01 TELMEX/Target Daytona Prototype, while Team Target IndyCar pilots Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti join Alex Lloyd in the No. 02 Target/TELMEX Daytona Prototype. Last year, the team became the first in history to win three consecutive overall titles in the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Last year’s victory added to Pruett's already all-time best eight class victories at the Rolex 24 and record 15th overall Rolex Series wins.

Scott Pruett won the Coors Light Pole award for today’s Nationwide Series NAPA Auto Parts 200 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

Pruett’s top qualifying lap put the Ganassi Racing #40 Fastenal Dodge up front for today’s race. The race was run under rainy conditions using "rain tires" for the first time ever in NASCAR racing history. Pruett was running in 22nd place when the race was red-flagged due to heavy rain and extremely poor visibility. The race was called shortly after.

Chip Ganassi Racing tells Rotoworld that Scott Pruett will drive the #40 Fastenal Dodge in Saturday's NAPA Auto Parts 200 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

Pruett last sat in the seat of the #40 back in April for the Corona 200 at Mexico. Since 2001, Pruett has made seven Nationwide Series road course starts. His average qualifying position is fourth and average finish is 10th. He has two poles, one at Mexico City and one at Watkins Glen, and two top-five and four top-10 finishes. The veteran driver’s best finish on a road course and in Nationwide Series competition was a third-place finish at Mexico City earlier this year.

CGRFS announced the team’s road-racing veteran driver Scott Pruett will compete in road course race at Infineon Raceway.

Pruett, who currently leads the Rolex Sports Car Series championship for CGRFS with teammate Memo Rojas, will pilot the No. 41 Target Dodge entry. He has had 6 starts at Infineon Raceway, with a best showing of 3rd in 2004. Additionally, Pruett has 9 career starts in NNS competition, which include 2 poles, 1 top-5 and 3 top-10 finishes. Scott Pruett leads the most laps in the Corona Mexico 200 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.

Pruett earned the WIX Filters "Lap Leader" award for keeping the #40 Fastenal Dodge out front for 36 of the 80 lap event on Sunday. He started the #40 2nd in the lineup for his first 2008 Nationwide Series race. His 3rd place finish today makes his second top-10 finish in two races at the Mexico City road course.

Scott Pruett tops the speed chart in the Nationwide Series Happy Hour practice at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.

Pruett ran a fast lap of 102.896 mph in the #40 Fastenal Dodge. #16 Colin Braun, #25 Boris Said, #20 Kyle Busch and #59 Marcos Ambrose rounded out the top 5 of the 47 cars practicing for Sunday’s Corona Mexico 200. The #99 Toyota, driven by David Reutimann, was the slowest (88.309 mph).

For the second consecutive year in Mexico City, Scott Pruett will maintain the helm of the #01 TELMEX Daytona Prototype (Grand-Am) and #40 Fastenal Dodge (Nationwide Series).

In Pruett’s double-duty weekend last season, he returned home with two top-five finishes (fourth Rolex, fifth NNS). Pruett’s track history in three race starts (two Rolex, one NNS) includes two pole positions, three top-five finishes and one win. This weekend’s run will mark his second stock car start at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Scott Pruett scored his third Rolex 24 win as part of the winning team at Daytona International Speedway.

Pruett, along with Chip Ganassi Racing teammates, Juan Pablo Montoya, Dario Franchitti and Memo Rojas, led the final three hours of the 24 Hours of Daytona event. This was the third consecutive Rolex 24 title win for Ganassi Racing.

Scott Pruett on pole for the Busch Series March 4th Telcel-Motorola Mexico 200 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

Pruett set a new track qualifying record with his fast lap of 103.647 mph in the #41 Wrigley's Juicy Fruit Dodge. This was his 2nd Busch Series career pole in only 7 starts. Carlos Contreras, Juan Pablo Montoya, Jorge Geoters and Denny Hamlin (defending race winner) make up the rest of the top 5 in the lineup for Sunday's race at the Mexico City track.

Chip Ganassi Racing driver Scott Pruett will compete in both races at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez this weekend in Mexico City.

Pruett is driving the team's No. 41 Dodge in Sunday's Busch Series race as well as competing in his full-time No. 01 Lexus-Riley with teammate Memo Rojas in the sports-car event. Pruett will be joined by Ganassi teammate Juan Pablo Montoya in the Telcel-Motorola 200 Busch race. The race marks Pruett's first Busch Series start with the team that he annually competes with in the Nextel Cup road-course races. Scott Pruett will pull double-duty this weekend in the Cup and Busch races at Watkins Glen International.

Pruett, a road racing expert, will return to Ganassi Racing's #40 Lone Star Steakhouse/Saloon Dodge for the AMD at the Glen Cup race on Sunday. He will also be piloting the #1 Miccosukee Gaming & Resorts Dodge in the the Busch Series Zippo 200 on Saturday. In four previous Cup starts at WGI, Pruett's worst finish was an 11th. He scored top 15's in his two Busch starts at The Glen.

Scott Pruett qualified to make the show for the June 25th Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway.

A lap of 91.382 mph in the #40 Dodge gets Pruett a 27th place start in Sunday's Cup race at Infineon. He is filling in for David Stremme, regular driver of the #40, in a one-race deal as one of the road course experts.

Pruett, a road-racing expert, will take over the #40 Dodge for the Cup race on Sunday. David Stremme, regular driver for the team, will be racing in the Busch Series on Saturday and will return to the car after this weekend.
