Dupree was on the team in the preseason but was let go. We doubt he will have a fantasy impact.

Dupree averaged 4.0 points in five preseason games, and didn't have a chance to crack the rotation in Toronto. The Raptors now have 15 players on their roster.

The Jazz have waived forward Ronald Dupree and guard Paul Harris.

Harris was an undrafted free agent out of Syracuse. Dupree has played in 154 regular season NBA games with Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota and Seattle, averaging 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds for his career.

Dupree has spent time with the Bulls, Pistons, Timberwolves, and Supersonics, averaging 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds. He played for Utah's D-League team last year and could be an insurance policy if Matt Harpring (ankle, knee) ends up retiring.

In a surprise move, they kept Jawad Williams, but his contract is not guaranteed. Once Darnell Jackson returns from a wrist injury in a month or so, Williams could face the same fate as Dupree.

According to Seattle's press release: "Dupree has appeared in a total of 150 NBA games over five seasons, averaging 3.7 ppg and 2.2 rpg." He will not have significant fantasy value.

The Pistons requested waivers on Ronald Dupree on Friday, clearing the way for their trade which sent Nazr Mohammed to the Bobcats in exchange for Primoz Brezec and Walter Herrmann.

Currently with 16 players on their roster, Ronald Dupree is expected to be the final player cut before the regular season.

Dupree averaged just 1.9 PPG in 19 contests last season for Detroit. He'll likely find a job at the end of another team's bench if he is cut, but won't have any true fantasy value wherever he lands.

Detroit News columnist Chris McCosky suggests that Ronald Dupree should be activated over Nazr Mohammed for the second round against the Bulls.

McCosky writes that Dupree could useful in limited minutes because of his perimeter defense. He could possibly give Luol Deng problems. Whether or not he is dressed, don't expect to see Dupree as a real rotation player in the upcoming series.
