The Bobcats are expected to sign forward Linton Johnson on Tuesday.

That will put their roster at 15 players and knowing Larry Brown, it would not be surprising to see Johnson start some games at power forward this season.

Based on the comments of Raptors coach Sam Mitchell, Toronto Star writer Doug Smith thinks that the team's signing of Linton Johnson could mean dissatisfaction with Jamario Moon, Carlos Delfino, Andrea Bargnani, or Kris Humphries.

"We were looking for defense, rebounding, all those intangible things, getting on the floor, getting loose balls, bringing some grit and toughness to our basketball team," Mitchell said. Moon's minutes seem safe given that he's a high-energy player and a good rebounder, but owners may want to watch just in case. Mitchell has already shown his displeasure with Bargnani by benching him.

The Suns signed free agent Linton Johnson to a 10-day contract on Thursday.

The Suns still have to add a 13th player to their roster by Feb. 22 - a day after the trade deadline.

They might make a minor trade to obtain perimeter defensive help, but they will also bring in four free agents for a workout on Tuesday. The players coming to Phoenix are Linton Johnson, a four-year veteran; Ronald Dupree, who played 19 games with the Pistons last year; Bobby Jones, who began the season with Denver and had two 10-day stints with Memphis earlier this season; and Carlos Powell, a from South Carolina, who is averaging 22.3 points and 6.3 rebounds with the Dakota Wizards of the D-League.
