Childress was crowded out of the rotation by Joe Johnson, Keith Bogans, Jerry Stackhouse and MarShon Brooks, and he'll seek a larger role somewhere else.

MarShon Brooks has chipped his way back into the rotation, and with Jerry Stackhouse healthy there's no upside for Childress at the moment.

Childress has absolutely no fantasy appeal in any format, and he hasn't played in a game since December 9. Keith Bogans should back up Gerald Wallace at small forward.

Josh Childress had his best game of the season on Wednesday with eight points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer in 18 minutes off the Nets bench.

Gerald Wallace was out with an ankle injury, which is probably why Childress has a mini breakout performance tonight. But unless you're in a 20-team league or deeper, there's no reason to read too much into this, especially since Wallace isn't expected to be out for long.

Childress has turned into an empty calorie guy at this stage of his career, and doesn't warrant any fantasy consideration until further notice.

With Childress out, Keith Bogans has been starting in place of the injured Gerald Wallace (ankle). It's unknown if Childress will come off the bench Friday, but fantasy owners shouldn't expect much even if the former Hawk gets the start.
