The Nuggets have waived Josh Childress.

With 15 guaranteed contracts already on the books in Denver, Childress never had a real shot of nabbing a spot on the regular-season roster.

Josh Childress had reportedly agreed to a deal with the Denver Nuggets.

Childress has not played in the NBA since December of 2013, when he suited up for the New Orleans Pelicans. He spent last season in Japan and played in the Big 3 League over the summer. We don't yet have details, but the contract is very likely non-guaranteed, as Childress is a longshot to make the Nuggets final 15-man roster.

Josh Childress has signed with the Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix of Japan.

There were preseason rumors that the 33-year-old had signed in the D-League, but those rumors turned out to be wrong and Childress will now head to Japan. Needless to say, the No. 6 pick in the 2004 NBA Draft doesn't have any fantasy value.

Josh Childress has not signed to play in the D-League, contrary to earlier reports.

It had originally been reported that Childress had signed to play in the D-League, but Daniel Moldovan is reporting that signing never took place. D-League signing or not, the 33-year-old doesn't have fantasy value at this point in his career.

Josh Childress has signed a contract to play in the D-League, a source told Chris Reichert of Upside and Motor.

Childress was considering a D-League stint about a month ago, and now that his season in Australia has ended, he's decided to take this route as an attempt to get back into the NBA.

Josh Childress could head to the D-League after his season is up in Australia.

He hasn't played in the NBA since 2013-14 and it's been downhill since he signed a five-year deal back in 2010. Childress is still playing pro ball, so the 32-year-old forward may get a 10-day late this season.

Josh Childress has signed with the MightyMite Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League.

While Childress is one of the biggest signings ever for the Australian league, this likely signals the end of his NBA career. The 31-year-old averaged 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.9 steals over eight NBA seasons with four different team, but can now officially be erased from the memory banks of fantasy owners.

Pelicans waive G/F Josh Childress.

He is best known for having one of the worst contracts in the past decade when the Suns signed him to a five-year, $33 million deal back in 2010. Childress had a grand total of 24 minutes with the Pelicans this year and is unlikely to be picked up unless a team gets a bad case of injuries.

Josh Childress has reached an agreement to join the New Orleans Pelicans.

Childress only averaged 1.0 points per game in 14 contests with the Nets last year, so this news shouldn't have fantasy owners rushing to their waiver wires.

The Wizards are expected to release unsigned free agents Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Xavier Silas and Josh Childress.

No surprises here. They were training camp invites and their deals weren't guaranteed. Childress has a chance at catching a 10-day contract or two this season with another team, but it's not guaranteed.

Josh Childress will join the Wizards in training camp, according to HoopsHype.

Childress played minimal minutes in 14 games for the Nets last year, averaging 1.0 points and just over seven minutes per game. Even if he makes the regular roster for the Wizards, don't expect him to contribute anything fantasy-wise.

Free agent G/F Josh Childress will work out for the Cavs and Spurs.

Childress hasn't been a true rotation player in the NBA since 2007-08, before he left for Greek power Olympiacos. He's just getting a light look from the Cavs, who will host him as part of "due diligence" before training camp. The Hornets have also shown some interest.

Free agent G/F Josh Childress is working out for the Hornets.

Childress, always long and athletic at 6'8/210, is still just 30 years old. He appeared in 14 games for the Nets last season, averaging just 7.2 minutes. Childress would be deep swingman depth for the Hornets if he lands a minimum deal.

Free agent Josh Childress has reportedly received "strong interest" from three NBA teams.

Childress played 14 games for the Nets last year after being amnestied by the Suns, and reports that he rejected an offer to return to Greece. He's eager to resume his NBA career and may earn a veteran's minimum deal somewhere, but the 30-year-old forward won't be a fantasy factor no matter where he lands.
