Luol Deng played 40 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Nets, finishing with 18 points, six boards, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.
The fact that he played 40 minutes should make his owners nervous, as Deng has been extremely injury-prone over the past couple of seasons. However, the Heat are dealing with several key injuries such as Chris Bosh (calf) and Josh McRoberts (knee), so Deng may have to carry the load for the Heat for the foreseeable future. Expect a bump in his value and consider him a must-start player in the short-term. Dec 16 - 11:40 PM

Luol Deng had 17 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes vs. his former team on Sunday, but the Heat fell at home 75-93 to the Bulls.

Deng's rebounds tied a season-high and he added one 3-pointer, one assist, one steal and two blocks with only one turnover, rounding out a quality game for fantasy owners. He should flirt with top-80 value as long as he's healthy, and it's an encouraging sign that he's only missed two of Miami's first 24 games.
Dec 14 - 9:05 PM

Luol Deng scored 23 points in Tuesday's win over the Suns, while adding four boards, three assists, one steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Clearly his bruised hand was no issue, as this was one of his best games of the season. He shot 9-of-12 from the field and was a pest on the defensive end all game. Deng is a risky player to own, but when active he belongs in all lineups.
Dec 9 - 11:37 PM

Luol Deng (bruised hand) started Sunday's loss in Memphis and finished with 13 points, one 3-pointer, five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 27 minutes of action.

He sat out the entire second quarter but any concerns were quickly erased when he started the second half, gamely playing through pain for the slumping Heat. Deng picked up his 700th career steal early on Sunday, a reminder of how productive he's been during his 10-year career, but unfortunately Deng's heavy playing time with the Bulls has left him injury-prone at age 29.
Dec 7 - 8:39 PM

Luol Deng (hand), Norris Cole (illness) and Josh McRoberts (illness) are in the starting lineup against the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Deng went through warmups and everything appears to be fine with him. He's gotten off to a bad start this year with his new team, so his fantasy owners probably shouldn't have high expectations.
Dec 7 - 5:48 PM

Luol Deng (hand), Norris Cole (illness) and Josh McRoberts (illness) are questionable to face the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Deng is likely headed to a game-time decision with his bruised hand. He said he could miss time back on Thursday, which usually means players miss multiple games. Still, he could play and his owners will want to check back. If he's out, James Ennis will benefit.
Dec 7 - 4:37 PM

Luol Deng (hand) and Norris Cole (illness) were back at practice on Saturday.

They look like they'll be able to play on Sunday against the Grizzlies, but you never know. Deng has been extremely banged up and it's hard to believe he led the NBA in minutes per game a few seasons ago. His fantasy owners probably should bench him until he puts up a good game. If he's out, James Ennis will likely benefit most.
Dec 6 - 4:52 PM

Luol Deng (hand) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Bucks.

Danny Granger (illness) is also being listed as questionable, so there could be a lot of minutes going to James Ennis and Shawne Williams tonight. Stay tuned.

Luol Deng (hand) hinted that he could miss some time with his recent hand injury, and is looking doubtful for Friday.

"There's still a lot of swelling," Deng said. "We're going to see how it feels in a little bit, give it a couple of days and then see." If he's is unable to suit up for Friday's game, his minutes will be distributed amongst Shawne Williams, James Ennis, and Danny Granger. Stay tuned.

Luol Deng (hand) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice, and remains questionable for Friday's game vs. the Bucks.

Coach Erik Spoelstra said that Deng is "really sore," and that Danny Granger could return to the rotation, which would imply that Deng will be unavailable for Friday. Deng will travel for the Heat's roadtrip, but there are no guarantees that he will play. Owners will just have to continually check back for updates on Deng's status, but if he misses time, Shawne Williams, James Ennis, and Granger will all be in line for extended minutes. Stay tuned.

Luol Deng (right hand) is questionable for the Heat's upcoming road trip after taking a hard fall during the first half of Wednesday's loss to the Hawks.

The Heat play their next five games on the road, so Deng could be out until at least December 14 if he misses the entire trip with what is being called a bone bruise. "We're going to just wait and see," said Deng, whose X-rays came back negative. "We're going to monitor it the next couple of days." Deng owners should be prepared to be without him for at least a game, while Shawne Williams and James Ennis will provide deep league fantasy value if he misses time.

Dec 4 - 9:52 AM

Luol Deng took a hard fall in the first half of Wednesday's game against the Hawks and injured his hand. James Ennis started the second half in his place and Deng is done for the night.

We should have more information on his injury on Thursday but if he's going to miss time, both Ennis and Shawne Williams will be worth a look.
Dec 3 - 9:08 PM

Luol Deng struggled in the Heat's blowout loss to the Wizards on Monday, posting just nine points on 2-of-7 shooting with three rebounds and one steal in 24 minutes.

Deng's lack of versatility can make the bad nights stand out but he's returning mid-to-late round value on the year and he's clearly a hold. Chris Bosh was not impacted by the blowout in a 21-point, eight-rebound and two-block night.
Dec 1 - 10:36 PM

Luol Deng grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds on Sunday, while scoring 10 points on 2-of-11 FGs and 6-of-8 FTs.

The veteran SF also tied his season high with three steals and handed out two assists in a team-high 37 minutes. Deng has admitted that he's had a slow adjustment with the Heat, but he should settle into top-80 fantasy value on the season. He's healthy and his offensive role is steadily increasing, so fantasy owners can't ask for more.
Nov 30 - 10:17 PM

Luol Deng erupted for a game-high 26 points with eight rebounds, three assists, one block and zero assists on Sunday, making 10-of-14 shots with two 3-pointers.

He struggled with a wrist injury over the past week but it's clearly no longer an issue, as he torched Gerald Henderson and the Hornets in 38 minutes tonight. This is his second offensive eruption of the season but it should be noted that Dwyane Wade and Norris Cole were both sidelined, which thrust Deng into a bigger role.
