Luol Deng (sore calf) is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Bucks.
Deng missed Tuesday's shootaround with his sore calf and will be be re-evaluated closer to game time on Tuesday night. Danny Granger and James Ennis are likely to pick up most of Deng's minutes if he sits, but neither are worth a look outside of daily leagues. Jan 27 - 11:06 AM

Luol Deng scored 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting to go with 10 rebounds, four assists, one block, and one turnover during Sunday's win over the Bulls.

Deng also played some amazing defense against Jimmy Butler, holding him to just 2-of-8 from the field, and it looks like he's over his illness. Keep rolling him out there.
Jan 25 - 5:53 PM

Luol Deng played through an illness in the Heat's 89-87 win over the Pacers on Friday, scoring 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting (including three treys) with five rebounds and three assists.

Deng looks like he's ready to produce for owners again and he should be in most lineups.
Jan 24 - 1:54 AM

Luol Deng (illness) is feeling better according to head coach Erik Spoelstra, and he is expected to play Friday vs. Indiana.

Considering Deng didn't miss the last game, he's looking very likely for tonight's game vs. Indiana. With Deng feeling better, hopefully he'll have a better outing than his 2-of-6-performance form Tuesday.
Jan 23 - 5:59 PM

Luol Deng (illness) appears probable to return vs. the Pacers on Friday.

He's been sick for four days and didn't even travel to Charlotte for Wednesday's game, but he went through shootaround on Friday without any issues. His likely return will send Danny Granger back to the bench, reducing Granger and James Ennis to an afterthought in typical fantasy leagues.
Jan 23 - 11:38 AM

Luol Deng (illness) will not travel with the Heat for Wednesday's game in Charlotte.

Deng fought through the illness to score eight points in 29 minutes on Tuesday, but he'll now get a few days to fully recuperate before Friday's home game vs. Indiana. James Ennis and Danny Granger stand to gain the most in Deng's absence -- Ennis is slightly more attractive if he earns the start at SF, but they're only worth a glance in daily leagues.
Jan 20 - 11:51 PM

Luol Deng played through an illness vs. OKC on Tuesday, scoring eight points on 2-of-6 shooting with one 3-pointer, four rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes.

Deng has quietly posted mid-round value with the Heat thanks to balanced production and a sizeable role offensively -- his 20.3 usage rate is just below his career average, and his 57.8 percent True Shooting marks a career high. He's also posting a solid PER of 17.0, his highest since the 2007-08 season, and it's easy to see why the 7th-seed Heat aren't eager to trade him.
Jan 20 - 10:21 PM

Updating a previous report, Luol Deng (illness) will start on Tuesday vs. OKC.

Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Hassan Whiteside will join Deng in the starting lineup. Get him active for what will be an up-tempo game with the Thunder.
Jan 20 - 6:50 PM

Luol Deng (illness) looked good while going through a pregame workout according to beat writer Ira Winderman, and he's looking probable for Tuesday's game vs. OKC.

Deng will have a tough matchup against OKC tonight, but with just two games being played, he's one of the better options. Stay tuned for an official update on Deng's status, but it is looking like he'll play, so feel free to get him active.
Jan 20 - 6:39 PM

Luol Deng (illness) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game vs. OKC.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra said he isn't sure if Deng will play tonight, so if he is forced to sit, Danny Granger would likely slide into the starting lineup. However, Granger is averaging a meager 5.5 points and 1.0 three-pointer through two starts this season, and with a tough matchup vs. OKC, he's not a great option in most leagues.
Jan 20 - 5:57 PM

Luol Deng scored 25 points on 11-of-18 shooting with six rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers in Friday's road win over the Kings.

The Kings can't defend anybody right now and Deng took advantage of that. Considering his mileage and injury risk, owners might want to float a few offers to see what they can get in return.
Jan 17 - 2:46 AM

Luol Deng appeared to tweak his left ankle late in Tuesday's game, but he kept playing to finish with eight points on 4-of-13 shooting, eight rebounds and one steal in 37 minutes.

The Heat have a tough matchup vs. the Warriors on Wednesday and we'll keep an eye on Deng's status in case the injury worsens overnight. He could have a nice game if he's able to play his normal workload, as the odds are good that Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will be forced to miss at least one game after hurting himself on Tuesday.
Jan 14 - 1:10 AM

Luol Deng made 3-of-11 from the field against the Blazers on Thursday for seven points, five rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer.

There are rumors swirling around Deng because the Grizzlies need some help on the wing. Deng is actually shooting the ball well from the field at 50 percent on the season, but he's not doing much else to give him mid-round value in standard leagues. He would likely lose value with a deal, but that seems unlikely.
Jan 9 - 1:05 AM

Luol Deng let it be known that he has not requested a trade, and that he is happy playing in Miami.

"I've had no issues," said Deng. "My whole thing I've been saying this year is we've been trying to get it right, fit everybody in. It's never that I'm unhappy or anything... I'm not the one asking for trades." Memphis' pitch reportedly is centered around the expiring contract of Tayshaun Prince, which would make the move more of a salary dump. Miami is not tanking, so it would seem a trade involving Deng would be unlikely given the current narrative.
Jan 8 - 5:24 PM

Updating a previous report, The Grizzlies reportedly called the Heat to check on the availability of Luol Deng, but the talks did not go any further than that.

Owners of Deng will just need to hope he remains in Miami where he's on of the key player's in the offense, and is currently putting up mid-round value. Things are in the very early stages right now, but there doesn't appear to be much traction. We'll be monitoring this situation closely, and we'll pass along any updates as they become available. Stay tuned.
