Sebastian Telfair hit 7-of-7 shots and 4-of-4 3-pointers for 18 points, two rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's loss to the Nuggets.
This was the first real Telfair sighting we've had since he scored 14 points back on Nov. 9 and he's not going to shoot it again like this all season. Andre Roberson is back and could re-take the starting shooting guard job, while Jeremy Lamb and Anthony Morrow aren't going anywhere. Ignore this performance by Telfair, but just keep an eye on him in case he gets it going. Nov 20 - 2:53 AM

Sebastian Telfair scored 13 points in 18 minutes on Friday, hitting 5-of-11 shots (including two threes) with one rebound and one assist.

Telfair also had three turnovers and with players slowly making their way back he's just a desperation play in 14-16 team leagues.
Nov 8 - 2:41 AM

Sebastian Telfair will not be suspended after committing a Flagrant-2 foul on Tyler Hansbrough during Tuesday's game.

Telfair accidentally hit Hansbrough in the face during the game, leading to his ejection, but the NBA might the right call by not punishing him further. The short-handed Thunder could ill-afford to lose a healthy player given their dire injury situation.
Nov 5 - 6:09 PM

Sebastian Telfair played 35 minutes off the bench against the Nets on Monday with 16 points, five rebounds, six assists and three 3-pointers.

The Thunder lost Andre Roberson (foot) tonight, so they started Telfair in the second half and pushed Reggie Jackson to the shooting guard spot. As tonight's line suggests, he's capable of putting up decent stats and should play big minutes. If you're looking for short-term help at point guard and are fine with inconsistency, give Telfair a look.
Nov 3 - 11:42 PM

Sebastian Telfair will head to the bench on Monday with the return of Reggie Jackson.

Telfair wasn't doing much with the starting role and limited offensive options around him, as he was only able to average 7.5 points and 8.0 assists over 37 minutes of action. His minutes are going to take a major hit with Jackson returning to the lineup, so if you owned him, feel free to return him to the waiver wire.
Nov 3 - 6:21 PM

Sebastian Telfair made 1-of-10 from the field for four points with four rebounds, nine assists, four steals and one turnover in 39 minutes.

He doesn't have a backup right now, so Bassy is going to get all the minutes he can handle until Reggie Jackson (ankle) is ready to go. Jackson could be back on Monday, so fantasy owners don't need to be in a rush to grab Telfair.
Nov 2 - 1:47 AM

Sebastian Telfair is likely to start on Saturday due to the absence of Russell Westbrook (hand), and Reggie Jackson declaring himself doubtful.

Telfair has a big chance to play all the minutes he can handle is definitely worth a look as a flier for those owners in need of short-term value. Stay tuned for any impending updates.
Nov 1 - 1:15 PM

Sebastian Telfair stepped up following the Russell Westbrook (hand) injury, playing 38 minutes for 11 points, two rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

He's the last man standing with Reggie Jackson (ankle) out, so he should have some short-term value. Of course, Telfair isn't the most talented player in the NBA and he'll obviously have some efficiency issues. The Thunder are almost certainly going to add a point guard through free agency, so fantasy owners shouldn't break the bank to pick him up. To be clear, he's worth a look in deep leagues.
Oct 31 - 2:12 AM

Sebastian Telfair (thumb) logged 20 minutes against the Raptors on Friday, scoring five points on 1-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, five assists and one steal.

Telfair is emergency depth for the Thunder and has no real fantasy value.
Oct 18 - 1:06 AM

Sebastian Telfair started at point guard on Thursday and it went about as well as you'd expect, making 6-of-17 shots for 12 points with one rebound, one assist, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers.

The Thunder only had 11 assists and coach Scott Brooks ran the offense like he had Russell Westbrook (rest), Kevin Durant (foot) and Reggie Jackson (wrist). Obviously, he didn't have those guys in the 120-86 loss.
Oct 17 - 9:37 AM

Sebastian Telfair will start at point guard on Thursday next to Jeremy Lamb, Lance Thomas, Perry Jones and Steven Adams.

Yep, this is not the high-powered offense we've seen in OKC. Telfair won't have any fantasy value. Fantasy owners will want to keep an eye on Perry Jones, Steven Adams and Jeremy Lamb, though.
Oct 16 - 7:28 PM

Sebastian Telfair will not play in Friday due to a right thumb strain.

It is to his shooting hand and the severity of his injury is not clear. Telfair is not a lock to make the OKC roster.
Oct 10 - 8:35 PM

Sebastian Telfair (quad) was held out of the Thunder's scrimmage on Sunday.

He should be fine and the Thunder are simply resting him as a precaution. While it is good to see Telfair back in the league, don't expect to see him too much in a loaded OKC backcourt. He is not worth drafting in any league.
Oct 5 - 4:24 PM

The Oklahoma City Thunder have officially signed Sebastian Telfair.

Telfair's deal was officially announced by executive vice president and general manager Sam Presti on Tuesday, while the the terms of the deal were not announced, as per team policy. The 29-year-old averaged 36.3 minutes, 26.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.0 steals in 35 games with Tianjin Ronggang of the Chinese Basketball Association last season, but won't have much fantasy value in standard leagues while backing up Russell Westbrook and Reggie Jackson.
Jul 15 - 1:15 PM

Thunder sign G Sebastian Telfair.

According to sources, the 29-year-old former lottery pick has signed a deal with the Thunder for the veteran's minimum. Telfair has played with seven different teams over eight NBA seasons and most recently played with Tianjin Ronggang of the Chinese Basketball Association. He will serve as a solid bench option for the Thunder, but his fantasy value is essentially non-existent barring an alien abduction of Russell Westbrook and Reggie Jackson.
