Kris Humphries scored nine points in 21 minutes against the Bucks on Tuesday with four rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer.

His 23-point game from Saturday was quite the fluke and Humphries was right back to where he should be most nights. the Wizards went with a lot of small-ball lineups today, which should continue. Humphries is a borderline player to own in standard leagues
Nov 17 - 10:10 PM

Kris Humphries made five 3-pointers during a Saturday win over the Magic, scoring a total of 23 points with five rebounds, two blocks and one turnover.

He made 9-of-14 from the field and just buried the Magic today. Humphries didn't crack nine points in any game since the opener, but he's still somehow made 46.4 percent from beyond the arc on the season. With Bradley Beal (shoulder) back soon, Hump won't get that many shots.
Nov 14 - 10:09 PM

Kris Humphries hit 3-of-5 shots (3-of-4 3PTs) for nine points, six rebounds and one block over 21 minutes in Friday's loss to the Celtics.

Humphries has been inconsistent at best to start the season and he needs to string together a bunch of good games to get on the standard league radar.
Nov 6 - 10:36 PM

Kris Humphries started Saturday's game but finished with only two points, three boards and three assists in 15 minutes vs. the Knicks.

Drew Gooden got hot off the bench, posting a double-double in 25 minutes, and the matchup vs. New York just didn't favor Humphries. Deep league owners may want to hang onto him a bit longer, but everyone else should cut ties -- he's averaging 14.5 minutes in D.C.'s past two games.
Oct 31 - 10:18 PM

Kris Humphries disappeared against the Bucks on Friday, playing just 14 minutes with five points, three boards and one triple.

Humphries always needed to hit it big in his new role to stick in fantasy leagues, and we'll probably see that happen for a stretch at some point during the season. He's definitely somebody you can ditch if you took a flier on him during draft day, however.
Oct 31 - 1:33 AM

Kris Humphries' improved 3-point shooting was evident on Wednesday, as he hit 1-of-3 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points in 26 minutes.

He added six rebounds, one steal and three turnovers, and isn't likely to stop launching triples any time soon -- he's the closest thing Washington has to a stretch-four. If he can continue to hit 3-pointers consistently, he could be a decent pickup as a poor man's Ryan Anderson.
Oct 28 - 9:55 PM

Kris Humphries is a confirmed starter at power forward.

The Wizards are going small and have increased their pace about 10 percent from last season. Humphries is taking a lot of 3-pointers, but he's still a low-upside target. Nene will come off the bench.
Oct 28 - 6:33 PM

Kris Humphries made two of his four 3-point attempts on Wednesday, finishing a loss to the Heat with 16 points, 12 rebounds and two steals in 32 minutes.

Humphries made a conscious effort to expand his range this summer, and unlike most PF/Cs he's actually putting it to use. He's a combined 6-of-20 from deep this preseason, so it's a work in progress, but even a modicum of 3-pointers would be great news for his fantasy value. He's still best left undrafted in standard leagues.
Oct 21 - 11:16 PM

Kris Humphries admitted he's adjusting to life as a potential stretch power forward.

"This is a different game for me," Humphries said. Firing three-pointers at will, the Wizards are trying desperately to recast Humphries in a role he's never played. "I haven't really played on the wing, like at the 3-point line to where I'm going to try to get an offensive rebound and then running back and then running again. It's adding that extra 23'9" of running in there. It doesn't seem like a lot but it catches up to you." Although Nene is slated for a bench role, there doesn't appear to be a ton of upside to Humphries' new game right now.
Oct 12 - 11:05 AM

Kris Humphries connected on two more 3-pointers during Sunday's win over Bauru, but shot just 2-of-9 from the field to go with nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and one turnover through 25 minutes of action.

Humphries is trying to mold himself into a stretch-four, but through three preseason games he's shooting just 34.6 percent from the field, which basically cancels out any value gained from his 1.7 three-pointers per contest. He's currently battling Nene for the starting power forward position in Washington, but it's looking like both players could be headed for a timeshare, rendering each a non-option in standard fantasy leagues.
Oct 11 - 9:48 PM

Kris Humphries attempted six 3-pointers and made one of them in the Wizards' 115-104 exhibition loss to the Knicks on Friday.

Humphries has made just two 3-pointers in his 11-year career but in today's pace-and-space NBA everybody is a dead-eye from deep. We're kidding of course, and if he can make 3-point shooting something that actually adds to his value we'll let you know. He finished with 11 points, five boards and a steal in his 26 minutes, and he's a low-end value at best even if he starts at PF for the Wiz.
Oct 9 - 9:41 PM

Wizards head coach Randy Wittman has not yet committed to using Kris Humphries as the team's full-time starting power forward.

Wittman added that he could use multiple starting lineups, so it sounds like there's a possibility that Humphries and Nene fluctuate in-and-out of the starting lineup depending on the matchup. This situation has timeshare written all over it, meaning that neither player will make for a strong late-round selection in standard leagues.
Oct 8 - 3:30 PM

Kris Humphries will start at power forward, ahead of Nene, for Tuesday's preseason game vs. the 76ers.

Nene is healthy, and head coach Randy Wittman said not to make much of the Wizards' rotations during the early goings of preseason, so we won't. That being said, neither Humphries nor Nene make for very appealing plays in standard leagues.
Oct 6 - 6:45 PM

Kris Humphries stated during a recent interview that he will be looking to expend his range to beyond the 3-point arc this offseason.

"I never really worked on shooting threes and stuff. I started working on it this year," said Humphries. "I had a lot of success in the last month [practicing] or so I really working on it every day, continue to work on it next year, add to my game." Wizards' head coach Randy Wittman has been gravitating towards playing smaller and faster with shooters at the four-spot, and current starting center Marcin Gortat has expressed a desire to play alongside a stretch-four, so if Humphries wants more consistent minutes this is a part of his game he'll need to develop.
