Kris Humphries and the Nets would both "welcome" a trade, according to beat writer Rod Boone of Newsday.
It makes a ton of sense. The Nets tried to shop Humphries relentlessly last season with no takers after re-signing him to a ridiculous two-year, $24 million contract, but his expiring deal should make him a much easier commodity to move this time around. We wouldn't rule out a trade before the season considering how Humphries' playing time evaporated last year. Jun 7 - 8:43 AM

The New York Post does not expect Kris Humphries to be on the Nets for the 2013/14 season.

Humphries enters the final year of a contract and is owed $12 million. In other words, he's an ideal piece for a rebuilding team looking to acquire an expiring contract. Humphries fell behind Reggie Evans this season, averaging just 18.9 minutes a night.

Kris Humphries' divorce from reality star Kim Kardashian became official Friday.

There were some whispers that Humphries would have to miss a playoff game for the proceedings, but he insists it never would have come to that. Regardless, the 72-day marriage that took nearly two years to get out of is finally kaput. Coincidentally (?), Humphries had his worst season since 2009, averaging just 5.8 points and 5.6 rebounds in 18.9 minutes per night.

Kris Humphries shot 8-of-17 from the field for 20 points with nine boards, two assists and one steal in 34 minutes against the Wizards on Monday.

He's been out of the rotation for most of the season and the Nets opted to give him an extended look with Brook Lopez and Reggie Evans sitting down. If both Evans and Lopez sit again, Humphries be worth a spot-start in some leagues on Wednesday.
Apr 15 - 10:56 PM

Kris Humphries played 12 minutes on Sunday with two points and three boards.

He has been out of the rotation at multiple points this year, but with the Nets clinching their spot in the playoffs today, Humphries is in line for more playing time.
Apr 14 - 8:21 PM

Kris Humphries returned to action on Tuesday and had nine points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes.

The fact he got seven boards on a night that Reggie Evans had 24 of them and Brook Lopez had 11, is pretty remarkable. Humps is as hit or miss as they come right now, but as long as Evans and Bro-Lo are hot, we'd leave him on the bench (or on waivers).
Apr 10 - 12:42 AM

Kris Humphries is inactive for Saturday's game vs. Charlotte due to an illness.

He's played in just 16.9 minutes per game in his last seven games since returning from a back injury on March 23. Andray Blatche, Mirza Teletovic and Reggie Evans will get a few extra minutes each tonight.

Kris Humphries (back) played a major role in Sunday's two-point road victory, coming off the bench for 17 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one block in 28 minutes.

Humphries recently returned from a back injury but it hardly warranted attention after his play in February, when he averaged 3.5 points in 13 minutes per game. The Suns might have the most depleted frontcourt in the NBA, which helps to explain Hump's outbreak, and fantasy owners should avoid him unless he suddenly starts playing 25+ minutes.
Mar 25 - 12:11 AM

Kris Humphries (back) returned to the Nets' rotation on Saturday, going scoreless with two rebounds and one block in 10 minutes.

Hump's back injury may no longer be an issue, but his role is too limited to expect fantasy production. Starting PF Reggie Evans had seven points and 16 boards in 37 minutes of action, and there's no reason to think he'll cede any minutes to Humphries.
Mar 24 - 1:56 AM

Kris Humphries (lower back) is a game-time decision on Wednesday against the Mavs.

Humphries missed Monday's game against the Pistons with the same issue, and it sounds like he'll be a true game-time call. He's not even in the rotation right now, let alone a fantasy contributor.
Mar 20 - 12:01 PM

Kris Humphries (lower back) will not play against the Pistons on Monday.

There was talk of him getting back in the rotation, but he's logged a grand total of 0.0 minutes in his last two games. Humphries has no fantasy value. Andray Blatche is playing well and is worth a look in some deeper formats.
Mar 18 - 7:27 PM

Kris Humphries could replace Mirza Teletovic in the Nets rotation.

Teletovic has struggled in extended exposure and P.J. Carlesimo can't decide which power forward to keep in the rotation. Neither one has consistent fantasy value or appeal in standard formats.
Mar 14 - 12:11 PM

Kris Humphries continued his fall from grace on Wednesday, picking up a DNP-Coach's Decision.

The $12M man isn't exactly providing his deep-pocketed owner with a good ROI. The Nets played everyone who was active besides Humphries in a 21-point win against the Bobcats, and the big man is definitely in the dog house. There is no reason to roster Humphries in what has turned into a nightmare year.
Mar 7 - 7:59 AM

Kris Humphries was informed Wednesday by coach P.J. Carlesimo that he's no longer a part of the rotation, a league source tells Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

This should come as no surprise considering Humphries played just two minutes Saturday. We've also posted one update on Humphries since the trade deadline, which should tell you all you need to know about his status over the past three weeks. Look for him to rack up a lot of DNP-CDs in the near future and expect more and consistent minutes for Mirza Teletovic, who Carlesimo said last week would be a "priority" going forward.
Mar 6 - 2:44 PM

Kris Humphries scored five points and snared two rebounds in 14 minutes vs. the Grizzlies on Sunday.

We haven't discussed Humphries since the trade deadline passed uneventfully, and we're unlikely to talk about him much down the stretch. There is no reason to hold him in fantasy leagues now that he's stuck on the Nets' bench behind Reggie Evans (14 boards in 27 minutes) and Andray Blatche (10 points, seven boards in 21 minutes).
