Jameer Nelson played 20 minutes and hit just 1-of-2 shots for two points, four assists and a steal in Tuesday's win over the Lakers.
He was probably a popular DFS play with Gary Harris out again, but he was strictly the backup point guard tonight. He had 18 points, four boards, four assists and two 3-pointers on Monday against his former team (Magic), but wasn't feeling quite as motivated tonight. Will Barton was awesome tonight and is the guy you want to target as long as Gary Harris is out with his ankle injury. Jan 18 - 1:20 AM

Jameer Nelson said he had "extra incentive" playing against his former team, the Orlando Magic, on Monday night.

Nelson left Orlando in 2014 but clearly isn't happy with the way the relationship ended. ""It just felt like certain people counted me out, but one thing I’m never going to do is count myself out," said Nelson. He finished with 18 points, four boards and four assists in 32 minutes on Monday. With Gary Harris (ankle) expected to miss Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers, Nelson could be in line for extra playing time on Tuesday as well
Jan 17 - 9:36 AM

Jameer Nelson had 18 points, four rebounds, four assists, two 3-pointers, one steal and one turnover in 32 minutes on Monday.

Gary Harris sprained his ankle just three minutes into the game, which opened up extra playing time for Nelson, who has now scored in double-figures in three straight games. Harris is doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers, so Nelson could be in line for an uptick in playing time.
Jan 16 - 8:32 PM

Jameer Nelson started the second half of Monday's game against the Magic.

Gary Harris suffered a right ankle injury just three minutes into the game and will not return, which prompted Nelson's move into the starting five. He has started in the past when Harris has hit the sidelines, so he could see a decent boost in value if Harris is forced into an extended absence, as should Jamal Murray and Will Barton. We'll let you know how Nelson does after the game.
Jan 16 - 6:27 PM

Jameer Nelson is available to play against the Spurs on Thursday.

He was probable, so he shouldn't be limited. With Emmanuel Mudiay screwing up on defense, maybe Nelson plays more. The needle hasn't really moved on him in fantasy, though.
Jan 5 - 8:34 PM

Jameer Nelson (ab strain) is probable to play against the Spurs on Thursday.

He was on the injury report for Tuesday, but played 19 minutes with six points and four dimes. The Nuggets usually throw guys on the injury report for a few games after an injury, so this isn't unusual. We're expecting him to play.
Jan 4 - 5:16 PM

Jameer Nelson (abdominal strain) scored six points on Tuesday vs. the Kings, adding four assists, one rebound, two triples and three turnovers in 19 minutes.

He only hit 2-of-7 shots and he hasn't played more than 19 minutes in three straight games because the Nuggets are letting Emmanuel Mudiay play through his hiccups. Nelson is not a fantasy asset right now.
Jan 4 - 12:36 AM

Jameer Nelson (abdominal strain) is available to play Tuesday vs. Sacramento.

Nelson has been dealing with a nagging ab strain, but it has not yet kept him out of the lineup. However, he has seen his playing and production dip a bit over the last few weeks. He is averaging 5.5 points and 3.9 assists in 20.0 minutes over Denver's last eight games.
Jan 3 - 8:22 PM

Jameer Nelson (abdominal strain) is being listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Kings.

Nelson has been dealing with this abdominal strain for the past three games, but he's been playing through it, so he feels a bit closer to probable for tonight's game. However, if he does end up hitting the sidelines, there will be more minutes available for Emmanuel Mudiay and Jamal Murray. Check back for another update closer to tip-off.
Jan 3 - 4:08 PM

Jameer Nelson (abdominal strain) scored five points off the Nuggets bench on Monday night.

Nelson had been listed as a game-time decision heading into Monday night, but was active for the contest. He ended up playing 17 minutes behind Emmanuel Mudiay.
Jan 3 - 3:38 AM

Jameer Nelson (abdominal strain) is available to play on Monday vs. the Warriors.

He's played an average of 22.6 minutes over his last five games, and while he's not worth owning in standard leagues, his presence will limit Emmanuel Mudiay's ceiling.
Jan 2 - 9:36 PM

Jameer Nelson (abdominal strain) will be a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Warriors.

Nelson was reportedly very sore, and very limited during Sunday's practice, so it wouldn't be all that surprising to see the 34-year-old hit the sidelines Monday night for the first leg of a back-to-back set. If he's out, Emmanuel Mudiay would likely be flirting with minutes in the mid-30s, and Jamal Murray could pick up some extra run off the bench. Stay tuned.
Jan 1 - 2:41 PM

Jameer Nelson (jaw) was a full participant during Sunday's practice, and he's a go for Monday's game against the Mavericks.

Nelson is more of a veteran presence in Denver than an actual fantasy option, particularly with all the guards healthy. Leave him on the wire.
Sun, Dec 18, 2016 02:59:00 PM

Jameer Nelson suffered a jaw contusion against the Knicks on Saturday.

He had a collision under the basket with Brandon Jennings and walked back to the locker room under his own power. There is no word of a concussion test or anything else at this time, but we'll look for an update. Nelson finished with no points, four assists and two turnovers. If he's out, Emmanuel Mudiay will get more run while Jamal Murray will shift to the one more often.
Sat, Dec 17, 2016 11:20:00 PM

Jameer Nelson moved back to the bench on Saturday vs. the Magic, scoring nine points on 4-of-9 shooting with three assists, two rebounds and one triple in 26 minutes.

It's no secret that he's been outplaying Emmanuel Mudiay (ankle), but the Nuggets are just 9-15 in the West and will probably focus on player development down the stretch which hurts Nelson's outlook for the rest of the season. He's a low-end asset in standard leagues while Mudiay is the starter.
