The Grizzlies recently tried to get Sasha Vujacic out of his European contract, but the team was unsuccessful.
Vujacic has been mentioned as a name the Grizzlies would target following their salary dump of a trade to Cleveland, but it doesn't appear that bringing "The Machine" back to the NBA is a possibility just yet. Feb 1 - 7:54 AM

Sasha Vujacic will reportedly sign a free agent contract with the Grizzlies, but reports out of Turkey have denied that he'll leave his current team.

Vujacic has been playing abroad in Turkey, and after re-signing with the team in August, it looks like he could be returning to the NBA. It's been a while since we've seen his headband in action, and Vujacic would help to replace Wayne Ellington, who was sent packing to Cleveland.

Sasha Vujacic has re-signed with Anadolu Efes Istanbul for another season.

Vujacic will continue to play in Turkey, where Jordan Farmar will be his newest teammate. Vujacic may eventually come back to the NBA, but he seems to be very happy playing for Anadolu Efes at this time.

Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo says there is "no truth" to reports that Toronto has interest in free agent Sasha Vujacic.

There was some bad information floating around Twitter that Vujacic already had a four-year contract offer in hand from the Raptors, but that never made any sense for a variety of reasons. Thankfully, Colangelo quickly put that rumor to bed. Vujacic hopes to return to the NBA next season, but it's hard to imagine any team willing to give him a four-year commitment. There is just no need to do that.

Sasha Vujacic would like to return to the NBA next season.

"My desire is to return to the NBA next season," Vujacic said. He's played professionally in Turkey this season, but he could draw some interest as a role player off the bench in the NBA.

Sasha Vujacic didn't take kindly to some physical play in Turkey recently and responded with a cheap-shot elbow to the kidneys for one of his opponents and then quickly grabbed the throat of another player.

It happened so quickly that it's tough to call it a choke, but the linked video is quite entertaining. Vujacic is not expected back in the NBA this season, but that could still change at some point.

Sasha Vujacic is currently playing in Turkey and it sounds like he has no plans on resuming his NBA career this season.

In an interview with Hoopshype Vujacic said that he planned to stay the entire year. There's still an outside shot he could show up in the NBA at some point this season, but as of now, don't plan on drafting him this year.

Sasha Vujacic has reportedly signed a one-year deal with the Turkish team Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

The deal has an option for a second season, though it's unclear whether it is a player or team option. There is also no word on his salary level or whether he'll have a clause enabling him to return to the NBA once the lockout is resolved.

Turkish basketball team Anadolu Efes is reportedly "close" to signing free agent Sasha Vujacic.

An April report from beat writer Colin Stephenson suggested the Nets may not bring him back, and Turkish newspaper Milliyet writes that Vujacic 'seems positive' of playing in Turkey next season. There is no word of whether or not the deal would contain an out-clause to return to the NBA after the lockout, but he profiles as a guy whose situation supports a move overseas.

Beat writer Colin Stephenson suggests that the Nets may not bring back impending free agent Sasha Vujacic.

Vujacic made $5.45 million in the final year of his contract this season. But with the Nets looking to clear cap room for a free agent binge, Vujacic likely isn't in the plans. He'll latch on elsewhere as a 3-point specialist.

Sasha Vujacic posted a nearly identical line on Monday to the one he posted Sunday, finishing with 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Those stats are identical to what he did on Sunday, with the only difference being three 3-pointers tonight, and just two of them yesterday. The last one almost didn't happen, as he tied the game late for his last points of the game. But D.J. Augustin ruined the party with a 19-footer to win the game. Vujacic looks like a safe start in Wednesday's finale.

Sasha Vujacic had 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and two treys in Sunday's loss to the Raptors.

The Nets were already playing without Sundiata Gaines, Deron Williams, Anthony Morrow, Damion James and Kris Humphries. On Sunday, Ben Uzoh and Mario West went down. Vujacic is locked into 35-40 minutes over the final two games and will be a very viable fantasy option.

Sasha Vujacic will start once again in the place of Damion James (foot).

With the Nets roster decimated with injuries, Vujacic is worth a look as a late season option if you're looking for scoring or threes.

Sasha Vujacic started on Friday and had 13 points, six boards, four assists and two steals on 6-of-14 shooting in a loss to the Knicks.

Anthony Morrow was out again with a sore knee, allowing Sasha to get loose. He had 16 points on Wednesday, as well, making him worth a look down the stretch.

Sasha Vujacic scored 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 31 minutes on Wednesday.

Nets fans have to be thrilled that the second-string backcourt for the Lakers from years' past is running their show now, but hey, everybody has to start somewhere. As long as Anthony Morrow (knee) is out, Vujacic's chances of production are better, but he's still not 100 percent trustworthy.
