Beno Udrih has signed a deal with Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania.
This likely marks the end of Udrih's NBA career. The veteran 35-year-old PG played for eight different NBA teams with career averages of 8.4 points and 3.4 assists. Sun, Dec 24, 2017 12:05:00 PM

Pistons waive Beno Udrih.

The Pistons were always going to waive him and reportedly tried to back in April during the season. Udrih is closer to 40 than 30 these days, so he may be done playing in the NBA.

Beno Udrih is on the Pistons' training camp roster.

He's far from a lock to make the team with Reggie Jackson, Ish Smith and Langston Galloway all ahead of him on the point guard depth chart. The 35-year-old guard will have no fantasy value if he sticks around past camp.

Unrestricted free agent Beno Udrih (knee) worked out at the Pistons practice facility on Wednesday.

He is fully recovered from his knee injury and should be ready for training camp. Udrih reportedly would like to play for a few more years, but most teams may not want to sign the 35-year-old guard.

Beno Udrih (knee) will be sidelined for the next 6-8 weeks.

The Pistons attempted to waive him on Monday, but missed the deadline and were forced to keep Udrih on the roster. Ish Smith will play heavy minutes the rest of the way, while coach Stan Van Gundy said Darrun Hilliard could get some run as the backup.

Updating a previous report, the Pistons were unable to waive Beno Udrih.

Awkward. The deadline was Sunday, so the Pistons waited a few hours too long. Udrih is currently on the shelf with a knee injury that he suffered on Sunday, so he likely won't play in the final two games of the season.

The Pistons have waived Beno Udrih.

Udrih was expected to miss the final two games of the season anyways, as he suffered a right knee injury on Sunday. He was diagnosed with a knee sprain, but barring a surprise, he should be ready for the 2017-18 season.

Beno Udrih (right knee) is doubtful to play in Detroit's final two games this season, according to coach Stan Van Gundy.

SVG said he's "not optimistic" that Udrih will return after spraining his knee on Sunday. X-rays are coming but even if they're negative it sounds like Detroit will play it safe with their veteran guard. Van Gundy also said that Reggie Jackson (knee) is done for the season, regardless of Udrih's status, which leaves Ish Smith with a very full plate.

Beno Udrih played 13 minutes in Monday's 109-95 loss at New York, finishing with six points, three rebounds and three assists with a steal.

Udrih was seeing added run with Reggie Jackson (knee) resting his knee, and the same scenario will play out with R-Jax on the shelf for the second end of a back-to-back situation. While Ish Smith is the biggest beneficiary since he is in a starting capacity, Udrih has some value as a low-cost filler option in DFS.

Beno Udrih was a DNP-CD on Wednesday.

Udrih was dealing with an ankle injury the last time we wrote about him, in late-February, but we're assuming he's healthy by now. Avoid him.

Beno Udrih (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.

This is the first blurb we've had on Udrih since Detroit claimed him off waivers back in October, which tells you just about all you need to know of his non-existent fantasy value.

Detroit has claimed Beno Udrih off waivers, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.

The Pistons have been looking for a veteran point guard ever since they found out that Reggie Jackson (knee, thumb) would miss the first 4-6 weeks of the season. Udrih likely won't have much fantasy value, as he'll serve as Ish Smith's backup until Jackson returns. As long as Smith plays well, he should still get a ton of minutes.

Updating a previous item, Heat waive PG Beno Udrih.

Udrih got a $1.5M gift from the organization to do absolutely nothing. While he could resurface elsewhere as an insurance policy at point guard, Udrih is going to have a tough time generating an NBA market moving forward.

The Heat are expected to waive veteran PG Beno Udrih, a source told Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

This means Rodney McGruder's roster spot is locked up. Udrih may resurface as a third-string PG elsewhere (Sixers, anyone?), but it's clear his best days are behind him.

Beno Udrih (back) is on the Heat's roster bubble, according to head coach Erik Spoelstra.

The Heat will have to decide between Udrih and Briante Weber, and Spoelstra isn't looking forward to making the decision. "Well, they’re two totally different players," Spoelstra said of Udrih and Weber. "Bri is dynamic defensively. There’s so many unpredictable things that are disruptive, it’s uncanny. Offensively, he brings a lot of energy, and he’s developing the rest of his game." While the 34-year-old could still end up on Miami's final roster, he won't have any fantasy value in standard leagues this season.
