Trevor Ariza (neck) is probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Clippers.
Through four games in February, Ariza has averaged 15.8 points, 3.0 3-pointers, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.5 steals so his owners will want to get him active even if he's not 100 percent. Ariza should have plenty of time to recover during the All-Star break, so his owners shouldn't be too concerned with his neck injury moving forward. Feb 11 - 11:02 AM

Trevor Ariza's surge continued in Tuesday's road win, as he racked up 10 points, five rebounds and five assists with a pair of 3-pointers and one steal.

Ariza has taken on a bigger role in Dwight Howard's absence and he's been terrific in four February games, returning elite fantasy value with 15.8 points, 3.0 threes, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.5 steals. He strained his neck late last week but it's obviously not a concern, and any lingering discomfort should vanish during the All-Star break.

Trevor Ariza (neck) will play in Sunday's game against the Blazers as expected.

He tweaked his neck during Friday's game against the Bucks, but he is said to be doing fine after receiving extensive treatment over the last couple of days. Ariza has been averaging 15.8 points, 5.4 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 3.2 3-pointers over his last five games, so his owners will want to make sure he's active.

Trevor Ariza (neck) is probable for Sunday's game against Portland.

The injury is just a simple neck strain that he suffered on Friday against the Bucks, and he is said to be doing fine after receiving a lot of treatment after the game. Ariza has been on fire over his last five games, averaging 15.8 points, 5.4 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 3.2 3-pointers over that span. Check back for updates after shootaround Sunday morning, but go ahead and pencil him into active lineups.
Feb 7 - 1:26 PM

Trevor Ariza scored 24 points on 9-of-21 shooting (including six threes) with six rebounds, three assists and three steals in Friday's 117-111 win over the Bucks.

Ariza has been great lately and he's in the midst of a top 40-50 season. For a guy that once drove fantasy owners nuts, he's been a beacon of consistency.

Feb 7 - 2:02 AM

Trevor Ariza made 7-of-10 from the field for 20 points against the Bulls on Wednesday with five rebounds, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

His shooting percentage still isn't there and he's yet to clear 38.0 percent from the field on the season. Since the start of 2015, Ariza holds averages of 10.7 points, 4.1 boards, 2.5 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.9 treys on 41.5 percent from the field. He's going to have a chance to be a top-50 player the rest of the way.
Feb 5 - 1:20 AM

The Rockets cruised to a win in L.A. on Sunday, with Trevor Ariza chipping in nine points, one 3-pointer, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.

He turned the ball over just once but his line was marred by a 3-of-14 mark from the field. Ariza is taking a lofty 61.4 percent of his attempts from downtown this season, which is a double-edged sword for fantasy owners -- 2.3 triples per game are excellent, but they're attached to a 37.4 percent shooter. It's a caveat his owners will happily live with, as he's still returning top-50 value on a season-long basis.
Jan 26 - 12:14 AM

Trevor Ariza had a stat-filled game against the Thunder on Thursday with 17 points, two rebounds, four assists, four steals and three 3-pointers.

He did only make 6-of-15 from the field, but the treys gave him an effective field goal percentage of 50.0 percent, so it's all good. Ariza has lit it up from deep in his last five with 3.0 makes per game on 51.7 percent from that range. He made his money on catch-and-shoot treys with the Wizards last year and he's starting to do that again. Ariza is a must-start guy right now.
Jan 15 - 11:08 PM

Trevor Ariza hit 6-of-7 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, five rebounds, a steal and a block in Wednesday's loss to the Magic.

Ariza is shooting it much better lately, hitting more than 50 percent of his shots in three of his last five games and hitting 53 percent of his shots during that stretch. He's not scoring as much as we'd like to see, but the fact he's no longer killing his owners' field goal percentage is a step in the right direction.
Jan 14 - 9:45 PM

Trevor Ariza snagged five more steals in Saturday's win over the Jazz, adding 10 points, three boards, three assists and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

He did shoot just 3-of-9 from the field and turned the ball over twice, but his owners can't complain about this stat line. Ariza has now averaged 4 steals per game in his last five outings and has been an absolute pest on defense for Houston. If Ariza ever finds his rhythm from the floor, he is going to be a deadly fantasy asset.
Jan 10 - 11:07 PM

Trevor Ariza made 6-of-10 from the field for 18 points with one rebound, one assist, one steal and four 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Knicks on Thursday.

He was awful for about two months, but tonight was shockingly the first time he's made more than 50 percent of his attempts from the field since Nov. 12. Even with this prolonged slump, Ariza was still a top-50 player on the season. He should stay there.
Jan 8 - 11:37 PM

Trevor Ariza hit 5-of-13 shots and three 3-pointers for 13 points, six boards, three assists and five steals on Wednesday.

His shot is really off this season and it appears to be 'one of those years' for Ariza and his jumper. He's shooting just 30 percent over his last five games and the last time he hit half his shots in a game was way back on Nov. 12. In fact, he's only shot it 40 percent or better in three games since then, as well. Let that sink in, and then realize that if you own Ariza and are getting crushed in field goal percentage, he's probably the reason why.
Jan 7 - 10:34 PM

Trevor Ariza scored just seven points but backed that up with six rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks in Monday's loss to the Bulls.

Ariza doesn't get much pub in the fantasy world because of his consistency, and that's what owners want out of a mid-round play. Keep him in lineups, obviously.
Jan 6 - 12:21 AM

Trevor Ariza logged 37 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Spurs, making 2-of-9 shots to finish with only seven points, three rebounds and two assists.

He made one 3-pointer and chipped in three assists to scrape together some fantasy value, and one off game would be nothing for his fantasy owners to fret about. Of much greater concern is the fact that Ariza's shooting slump extends back to Nov. 12, the last time he made at least half of his shots in a game -- in the 21 games since then, he's a combined 89-of-273 from the field (32.6 percent).
