The Cavs are looking to add at least one "athletic, shooting" wing, sources told ESPN's Chris Broussard.
Cleveland had interest in Trevor Ariza, but Houston is not looking to move him. It's unclear where the Cavs might turn in their pursuit to improve the roster, but we know it won't be in Dwyane Wade's direction. Jul 6 - 11:20 AM

The Rockets are gauging trade interest on Trevor Ariza, Patrick Beverley, and K.J. McDaniels, according to Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated.

The Rockets will likely play a big part of the NBA Draft trade landscape and it looks like they'll try to involve Ariza, Beverley, and/or McDaniels in potential deals. While Ariza delivered top-40 value in nine-category fantasy leagues, his value could take a hit if his role is diminished on a new team.
Jun 23 - 1:42 PM

Trevor Ariza finished his 2015-16 season with just two points, one rebound and one assist on Wednesday, going 1-of-8 from downtown as the Rockets fell to the Warriors in Game 5.

Ariza was dreadful offensively throughout the first round of the playoffs, shooting 25.5 percent, and the only positive was his defense -- he averaged 2.6 steals and was easily the leader in deflections per game (4.8). He flirted with top-40 fantasy value during the regular season (9-cat) but his role could change depending upon Houston's choice of a head coach, not to mention any personnel moves this offseason.
Apr 28 - 1:24 AM

Trevor Ariza was held to eight points on 3-of-11 shooting on Sunday vs. the Warriors, adding two boards and two steals in 36 minutes.

He's been terrible on the offensive end this series and was shooting just 28.1 percent from the field in his previous three games. The Rockets are facing an elimination game in Golden State on Wednesday, but Ariza has just been too cold to trust in DFS.
Apr 24 - 6:26 PM

Trevor Ariza was held to just seven points on 3-of-12 shooting vs. the Warriors on Thursday, adding five boards, one assist, three steals and one block in 42 minutes.

He defense has been great, but Ariza is in a serious slump on the offensive end. He's now shooting a brutal 28.1 percent from the field in this series, so he really has nowhere to go but up. He will look to bounce back in Game 4 on Sunday.
Apr 22 - 12:57 AM

Trevor Ariza got the start at power forward against the Warriors on Saturday, scoring nine points with eight rebounds, one assist, four steals and two 3-pointers.

The vast majority of his minutes were at the four, but it really didn't work out for the Rockets in this game. Ariza was 3-of-10 from the field and missed a few open looks. He should get major minutes in this series regardless of what position he plays.
Apr 16 - 6:50 PM

Trevor Ariza scored 21 points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in a win over the Wolves on Monday.

He's been elite in fantasy in the past three months. In his last 44 games, Ariza averaged 14.1 points, 4.2 boards, 2.6 assists, 2.2 steals, 0.4 blocks and 2.6 treys on 44.3 percent from the field. He's been a top-20 player in standard leagues in that span and turned it on down the stretch for the second straight season. If he starts slow again next year, there's nothing to worry about.
Apr 12 - 12:27 AM

Trevor Ariza scored 22 points against the Suns on Thursday with two rebounds, three assists, four steals, three blocks and five 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

It's a huge game for Ariza, but it wasn't enough in one of the most embarrassing losses in NBA history given the pressure of this game. Ariza has been terrific for months and he should be in a position to succeed the rest of the way this season. Anything goes with the Rockets in the offseason, though.
Apr 7 - 10:40 PM

Trevor Ariza scored 18 points on 5-of-13 shooting Sunday to go with seven boards, three assists, and three 3-pointers in 44 minutes.

Ariza was hot out the gates, scoring nine points in the first five minutes of regulation, but he unfortunately failed to contribute a single steal to the box score. It was just the 12th time this season that Ariza has failed to earn at least one steal, so obviously it's not a trend that's likely to continue.
Apr 3 - 7:05 PM

Trevor Ariza scored 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Cavaliers.

He was awesome and hit the biggest shot of the night when he nailed a corner 3-pointer with 18 seconds left in the game. Ariza added six boards, three assists, one steal and two triples in 40 minutes, and he will look to stay hot vs. the Bulls on Thursday.
Mar 29 - 11:27 PM

Trevor Ariza could not get his shot to drop during Friday's win over Toronto, going 1-of-8 from the field on his way to six points, four boards, one assist, one steal, one block, one 3-pointer and three turnovers in 37 minutes.

Ariza didn't even hit his first shot until the fourth quarter, but at least it was a triple. The scoring comes and goes for Ariza, but his ability to bring a little bit of everything to the stat sheet is what makes this guy elite. His 147 steals on the season have him sitting in second place for total steals on the year, and he's been a third-round stud since the All-Star break.
Mar 25 - 11:58 PM

Trevor Ariza made 5-of-8 from the field for 12 points with three rebounds, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers against the Jazz on Wednesday.

He shot the ball a lot less after a 7-of-28 (25 percent) shooting slump in his last two games. Ariza continues to post huge stat lines since January and has been a top-25 player in the 2016 portion of the season. There's no reason to think he'll slow down.
Mar 23 - 10:59 PM

Trevor Ariza scored 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting Friday, to go with two rebounds, four assists, one 3-pointer, one steal and zero turnovers in 35 minutes.

After a dreadful start to the season, Ariza has come alive since the All-Star break, bringing top-15 value to his owners with averages of 14.7 points, 3.8 boards, 3.8 assists, 2.7 triples and an elite 2.3 steals per game. His assist percentage has jumped 14.9 during that 14-game span, and his true shooting percentage has climbed to a respectable 57.8. Simply put, he’s a stud.
Mar 18 - 10:43 PM

Trevor Ariza has had at least two steals in each of his last 15 games, the longest such streak since Baron Davis did it 18 consecutive games during the 2006-07 season.

Entering Monday's game vs. Memphis, Ariza is behind just Kyle Lowry and Chris Paul in steals per game (2.12) and second in the NBA with 138 total swipes. "The people that I usually guard are the people who are going to have the ball in their hands," Ariza said. He's on pace to eclipse 150 steals and 150 3-pointers for the second straight season, a vivid illustration of the type of underappreciated value Ariza brings to your fantasy roster.
Mar 14 - 9:55 AM

Trevor Ariza returned to Wednesday's game after a minor left knee injury, finishing with six points, six rebounds, three assists, four steals, one block and five turnovers.

Houston won this game, 100-95, despite a stunning 3-of-34 mark from downtown -- Ariza went 0-of-7 and the Rockets' 8.8 percent accuracy is the lowest mark in history for a team with at least 30 attempts. What's even more bizarre is that New Orleans ranks 28th in 3-point defense this season, allowing opponents to shoot 37.5 percent. Go figure. As for Ariza, we're leaving him off the injury report until further notice.
