Trevor Ariza hit just 2-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for seven points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal in Saturday's win.
He never got it going tonight and while he hasn't exactly been a beast this season, he's still a solid fantasy option and a must-own player going forward. Nov 22 - 11:47 PM

Trevor Ariza scored 16 points on 4-of-13 shooting (1-of-7 from deep, 7-of-7 from the foul line) with three rebounds, four assists and one steal in Monday's blowout loss to the Grizzlies.

Ariza has held early round value to start the year and he's crushing his ADP. Playing a bit over his head in a handful of categories, there are no real outliers and owners can feel relatively confident that outside of an injury he has a top-60 floor. Dwight Howard added 15 points and nine boards, while James Harden really struggled with just 1-of-8 hits for six points and an otherwise strong output.
Nov 18 - 1:26 AM

Trevor Ariza hit just 2-of-10 shots and one 3-pointer for seven points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in Thursday's easy win over the resting Spurs.

We were hoping for much bigger things from Ariza tonight, but he seemed to play down to the competition. The Spurs rested most of their stars and Ariza just couldn't get it going. He's been great all year, so just chalk this up as an off night.
Nov 6 - 10:32 PM

Trevor Ariza has been fitting in nicely with Houston early on this season by posting averages for 17.6 points, 5.4 boards, 3.2 assists, 1.8 assists, and a ridiculous 4.2 3-pointers per game.

It looks like Houston is doing just fine without Chandler Parsons and a lot of that has to with the play of Ariza. After shutting down Wade for most of the game on Tuesday, he sank five 3-pointers to lead Houston to a huge win. Ariza needs to be locked into all lineups as he looks to continue his impressive play for his new team.
Nov 5 - 12:19 PM

Trevor Ariza didn't attempt any shots until mid-way through the second quarter of Tuesday's road win, but he quickly picked up the pace to finish with 19 points, five 3-pointers, five rebounds, five assists and three steals.

He was coming off an efficient 24-point game on Monday and so far he's dispelled fears that he'd drop off without John Wall feeding him easy passes on the perimeter. "He knows who he is, he takes his shots," coach Kevin McHale said of Ariza. "He's playing very well for us." Fantasy owners will happily echo the sentiment.
Nov 4 - 10:25 PM

Trevor Ariza took advantage of the opponent on Monday against the Sixers, scoring 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting (including six threes) with six rebounds, seven assists and two steals.

Ariza has started off the season with a bang and owners have to feel pretty good about their mid-round pick. He is averaging 17.3 points, 4.0 triples, 5.5 boards, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game while hitting 57 percent of his shots. It's a bit of a sell-high moment after a night like this.
Nov 3 - 9:58 PM

Trevor Ariza continued his catch-and-shoot ways against the Jazz on Wednesday, making four 3-pointers on his way to 20 points, five rebounds, one assist and two steals in 37 minutes.

It's early, but he doesn't look to be missing John Wall at all. Ariza is going to be asked to bury a lot of triples and his perimeter defense will go a long way for Houston. He's shaping up to be a nice steal for savvy fantasy owners.
Oct 30 - 12:54 AM

Trevor Ariza made his season debut on Tuesday for the Rockets, notching 16 points (5-of-8 from downtown), three rebounds, two assists, two steals and two turnovers in 30 minutes.

Ariza made an impressive return with the Rockets, whom he played for during the 2009-10 season. He's coming off a career-best year, scoring 14.4 points with a gaudy 2.3 triples per game, but it remains to be seen how much of his success is attributable to John Wall. The early returns are encouraging and he's playing uncontested minutes at SF in an up-tempo offense, which bodes well for owners who drafted him in the early-middle rounds.
Oct 29 - 1:46 AM

Trevor Ariza will not play against the Magic on Wednesday.

He's just getting a night off and has played fairly well in the preseason. Ariza has an effective field goal percentage of at least 50 percent in five of the six preseason contests. He won't be quite as good as last year, but he's still a nice target in the middle rounds.
Oct 22 - 5:44 PM

Trevor Ariza had 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting, one 3-pointer, two rebounds, three assists and four steals to help the Rockets defeat the visiting Warriors on Sunday.

Ariza is coming off a career-best season in which he averaged 14.4 points, 2.3 triples, 6.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He was playing in a contract year while absorbing easy 3-point attempts courtesy of John Wall, however, so fantasy owners shouldn't expect him to repeat those stellar numbers. As the unquestioned starting SF in an up-tempo offense he's still worth a pick in the middle rounds.
Oct 19 - 11:00 PM

Trevor Ariza is excited to begin his second stint with the Houston Rockets.

Ariza last played with the Yao Ming-led Rockets during the 2009-10 season and is looking forward to his second go-round with the team. ""This time is different. Everyone is healthy, We all want to win a championships and that is what is driving the bus," Ariza said. "I am definitely better at shooting the ball and defensively, I just give everything I have when I am on the court." While he may have a tough time duplicating his 2013-14 numbers, the 29-year-old is still a solid middle-to-late round fantasy pick as he should be a great fit for Houston's up-tempo offense.
Oct 2 - 12:02 PM

Trevor Ariza said he joined the Rockets because he was "familiar" with his surroundings.

"I just felt like the fit here was similar to what I had in Washington," Ariza said. It sounds like the Rockets and Wizards offered very similar money, but Ariza went with the four-year, $32 million offer from the Rockets. He's a great fit with Houston's up-tempo, triple-happy offense and he should be able to put up solid numbers.
Jul 21 - 11:36 AM

Trevor Ariza has agreed to sign with the Rockets on a four-year, $32 million deal.

Well, Houston can say goodbye to Chandler Parsons, who will now go to Dallas on a three-year deal. Ariza scored a career-high 14.9 points in his one season with the Rockets back in 2009-10 and he'll move into the small forward spot. He was lights out in catch-and-shoot, finishing the season making 40.7 percent of his shots from deep. He's a great fit in Houston for their style of play and is worth targeting in the middle rounds.
Jul 12 - 5:29 PM

The Rockets are "seriously pursuing" Trevor Ariza, indicating that they may not be ready to match Chandler Parsons' three-year, $46 million offer sheet.

Houston was also chasing Luol Deng but they've fallen out of the running. If the Rockets ultimately decide to keep Parsons despite his hefty price tag, the Mavericks' attention would immediately turn to Ariza, Deng and possibly Lance Stephenson as they seek to replace free agent Shawn Marion.
Jul 12 - 2:11 PM

The Mavericks appear to be resigned to the fact the Rockets are going to match their offer sheet to Chandler Parsons, meaning Dallas will now turn it's sights to guys like Trevor Ariza and Luol Deng.

Ariza is younger and has more gas left in the tank, while Deng is a more consistent and reliable option. Either way, it would be pretty shocking at this point if both Chris Bosh and Chandler Parsons aren't both in the Rockets starting lineup next season.
