Trevor Ariza had a stat-filled game against the Thunder on Thursday with 17 points, two rebounds, four assists, four steals and three 3-pointers.
He did only make 6-of-15 from the field, but the treys gave him an effective field goal percentage of 50.0 percent, so it's all good. Ariza has lit it up from deep in his last five with 3.0 makes per game on 51.7 percent from that range. He made his money on catch-and-shoot treys with the Wizards last year and he's starting to do that again. Ariza is a must-start guy right now. Jan 15 - 11:08 PM

Trevor Ariza hit 6-of-7 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, five rebounds, a steal and a block in Wednesday's loss to the Magic.

Ariza is shooting it much better lately, hitting more than 50 percent of his shots in three of his last five games and hitting 53 percent of his shots during that stretch. He's not scoring as much as we'd like to see, but the fact he's no longer killing his owners' field goal percentage is a step in the right direction.
Jan 14 - 9:45 PM

Trevor Ariza snagged five more steals in Saturday's win over the Jazz, adding 10 points, three boards, three assists and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

He did shoot just 3-of-9 from the field and turned the ball over twice, but his owners can't complain about this stat line. Ariza has now averaged 4 steals per game in his last five outings and has been an absolute pest on defense for Houston. If Ariza ever finds his rhythm from the floor, he is going to be a deadly fantasy asset.
Jan 10 - 11:07 PM

Trevor Ariza made 6-of-10 from the field for 18 points with one rebound, one assist, one steal and four 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Knicks on Thursday.

He was awful for about two months, but tonight was shockingly the first time he's made more than 50 percent of his attempts from the field since Nov. 12. Even with this prolonged slump, Ariza was still a top-50 player on the season. He should stay there.
Jan 8 - 11:37 PM

Trevor Ariza hit 5-of-13 shots and three 3-pointers for 13 points, six boards, three assists and five steals on Wednesday.

His shot is really off this season and it appears to be 'one of those years' for Ariza and his jumper. He's shooting just 30 percent over his last five games and the last time he hit half his shots in a game was way back on Nov. 12. In fact, he's only shot it 40 percent or better in three games since then, as well. Let that sink in, and then realize that if you own Ariza and are getting crushed in field goal percentage, he's probably the reason why.
Jan 7 - 10:34 PM

Trevor Ariza scored just seven points but backed that up with six rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks in Monday's loss to the Bulls.

Ariza doesn't get much pub in the fantasy world because of his consistency, and that's what owners want out of a mid-round play. Keep him in lineups, obviously.
Jan 6 - 12:21 AM

Trevor Ariza logged 37 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Spurs, making 2-of-9 shots to finish with only seven points, three rebounds and two assists.

He made one 3-pointer and chipped in three assists to scrape together some fantasy value, and one off game would be nothing for his fantasy owners to fret about. Of much greater concern is the fact that Ariza's shooting slump extends back to Nov. 12, the last time he made at least half of his shots in a game -- in the 21 games since then, he's a combined 89-of-273 from the field (32.6 percent).

Trevor Ariza (left knee contusion) is probable to play against the Spurs on Sunday.

This is a new injury and he's already had a minor problem with his calf. Ariza is really struggling in scoring efficiency, but his output in triples has helped him hold solid fantasy value.

Trevor Ariza double-doubled in the Rockets' overtime win over the Grizzlies on Friday, scoring 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting (including four threes) with 10 rebounds, two steals and one block.

Ariza flies underneath the radar playing next to superstars James Harden and Dwight Howard, but his top-60 campaign is exactly what owners bargained for on draft day and there's no end in sight.

Trevor Ariza scored seven points with six rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes on Monday.

He's really cold right now and the timing couldn't be worse. Over his last 11 games, Ariza has made just 32.3 percent from the field with 2.0 turnovers and his fantasy value is bottoming out. With Corey Brewer going off tonight, it's worth seeing if his current fantasy owners is panicking. Ariza should be a mid-round guy this season.

Trevor Ariza (calf) will play against the Blazers on Monday.

He just has some soreness to his calf and it doesn't sound like it will cost him minutes. Corey Brewer is available, but he's not likely going to be a threat to Ariza's minutes. Hopefully he breaks out of his shooting slump soon. His fantasy owners can plug him into their lineups.

Trevor Ariza (sore left calf) is probable to play on Monday vs. the Blazers.

A late addition to the injury report, Ariza's calf is not considered a major issue. The Rockets can't afford any more injuries to anyone right now, and Ariza would be an especially difficult player to replace if he were forced to miss any time.
Mon, Dec 22, 2014 12:33:00 PM

Trevor Ariza made 5-of-14 from the field for 13 point with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers against the Hawks on Saturday.

He has been struggling in his previous 10, making just 32.4 percent from the field for 14.8 points, 7.6 boards, 1.4 assists and 1.6 steals, but he is still holding decent value in fantasy because of the treys. His catch-and-shoot percentage is a far cry from last year, so maybe this is the John Wall effect. Still, Ariza is a must-start player. Also, there's no need to worry about Corey Brewer.
Sat, Dec 20, 2014 10:37:00 PM

Trevor Ariza played 42 minutes on Saturday with 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and three 3-pointers.

He made just 4-of-14 from the field, so maybe his illness from this morning kept him down. Ariza attempted a whopping 11 attempts from deep, which is a big reason why he's been putting up mid-round value this season.

Trevor Ariza (knee contusion) is listed as probable for Saturday's game vs. Denver.

This injury came out of nowhere but the good news is that he doesn't appear in danger of missing any time. Check back before plugging him into lineups just to be safe, but you will want to roll him out there after he attempted 12 3-pointers on Wednesday. Stay tuned.
