Trevor Ariza tied his season-high with six 3-pointers on Sunday, going 7-of-11 overall to finish with 23 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals.
This was Ariza's second-highest scoring game of the season, trailing only a 27-point game vs. the Mavs back on Oct. 28. He didn't turn the ball over in 33 minutes tonight, highlighting one of his strengths in 9-cat leagues, and he's thriving in James Harden's shadow as a top-40 fantasy asset. Jan 15 - 9:11 PM

Trevor Ariza scored 17 points on 5-of-10 shots vs. Toronto on Sunday, with all of his attempts coming from downtown.

He filled out his line with seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in 42 minutes. The Rockets are now 10-0 in the second game of back-to-back sets, which is even more impressive given how much energy they expend in a fast-paced system. Ariza has been deadly all year, particularly on corner 3-pointers, and he's a quiet top-40 fantasy player in roto leagues.

Trevor Ariza could be suspended for waiting outside the Mavericks locker room in order to confront Salah Mejri following Tuesday's win over the Mavericks.

Mejri reportedly said some things about Ariza's family during the game that Ariza did not take too kindly, and Mejri reportedly wanted to confront Ariza but was steered away by the Mavs assistant general manager Keith Grant. For what it's worth, Patrick Beverley, James Harden and Eric Gordon also waited outside the Dallas locker room alongside Ariza, and at the very least, there could be a fine coming from the league.

Trevor Ariza was ejected with two technical fouls in Tuesday's game vs. the Mavericks.

The officials gave out a total of five technicals in the third quarter, so Ariza may not be the least person to get tossed from this game. For what it's worth, he was T'd up for talking to the Mavs' bench, so he's in no danger of a suspension. He finished with nine points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and three triples in 30 minutes, shooting 3-of-5 from the field.

Trevor Ariza had eight points, 10 rebounds, four assists, five steals and a 3-pointer on 3-of-9 shooting in Monday's blowout 131-115 win over the Suns.

That's a great line from Ariza and it would have been much better had he made some shots. His shot is a problem right now, but he's still averaging 10.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.0 3-pointers on 38 percent shooting over his last five games.

Trevor Ariza scored 16 points with six rebounds, two assists, four steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Spurs on Tuesday.

Those four turnovers were costly with one really bad pass late in this game. Based on the stats, Ariza may have the toughest adjustment with Clint Capela out. With Capela this season, Ariza’s true shooting percentage is 13.0 percent better than without him prior to tonight. Ariza’s usage rate is also 3.3 percent higher with Capela, so it’ll be interesting to see how he can adjust his game. He should be fine and continue to post early-round value.

Trevor Ariza hit 3-of-8 shots and was 0-for-4 from downtown for seven points, two rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 37 minutes of Monday's win over the Nets.

We haven't blurbed Ariza since Dec. 5, mainly because he hasn't done a lot of things that have been newsworthy. He's averaging 11.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.8 3-pointers on 45 percent shooting over his last five games. There's nothing wrong with those numbers, but there's nothing too exciting about them, either.

Trevor Ariza played through a sore back on Monday and had 15 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes on Monday.

He was iffy coming in it wasn't known if he'd play until after 6 p.m. After scoring just six points last Tuesday, Ariza is scoring again, going for 15, 16 and 12 points over his last three games, with nice rebounds, steals, blocks and 3-pointers thrown in for good measure.

Trevor Ariza (back) will play Monday vs. the Celtics.

There's no word on any sort of minutes limit for Ariza, so his owners can feel free to get him out there. He'll draw a favorable matchup against Boston, so he's on the DFS radar as well.

Trevor Ariza (back spasms) is questionable for Monday's game vs. Boston.

He said on Sunday that he was feeling better, but he sat out of practice and wouldn't commit to playing. If Ariza is held out, Sam Dekker has been playing really well and should get a nice boost -- he's played 26 or more minutes in three straight games, scoring in double digits in each.

Mike D'Antoni said that Trevor Ariza (back) was feeling better, and the Rockets are listing him as day-to-day.

Ariza exited Friday's game during the closing minutes with back spasms and did not return, but Houston was up by 20 when Ariza tapped out. He did sit out Sunday's practice, and while he did say he was feeling better, he acknowledged that he might not play Monday vs. Boston. If he’s out, Corey Brewer and K.J. McDaniels would see a boost in value.

Updating a previous report, Trevor Ariza left Friday's game vs. Denver with back spasms.

He didn't return, but there was only a few minutes left. Ariza played 43 minutes the night before and logged 31 minutes tonight, but luckily he gets two days off before Monday's game vs. Boston. He finished with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds, three assists, five steals and four treys. If we get some bad news on Ariza, Sam Dekker would get some extra burn. To be clear, Ariza should be fine.

Trevor Ariza left Friday's game vs. Denver with an apparent leg injury and went back to the locker room.

He was down on the ground for a while, but he was able to get up and was seen gingerly walking to the locker room without a noticeable limp. He left the game with only a few minutes left, so his night is likely done. If Ariza needs to miss time, Sam Dekker looks like he will be the primary beneficiary. Stay tuned.

Trevor Ariza made 5-of-13 from the field for 12 points with four rebounds, and one steal in Thursday’s double-overtime win against the Warriors.

Ariza missed all seven of his shots from beyond the arc, but continues to get plenty of looks. He has now attempted seven or more 3-pointers in four of his last six games. While he does have plenty of bumps in the road due to his cold spells, Ariza's output in steals has still made him an early-round asset in standard leagues.
Fri, Dec 2, 2016 02:18:00 AM

Trevor Ariza made the most of limited opportunities on Sunday, scoring 18 points on seven shot attempts with three assists, two rebounds, two steals and zero turnovers.

The Rockets have won five of their past six games and Ariza is a subtle reason for their success. In addition to his defensive play, he's been lights-out on corner 3-point shooting this season -- he leads the NBA in that category and sank 4-of-5 triples tonight. Although he's less valuable in most points leagues, he's sitting as a top-30 roto value in 9-cat.
