Trevor Ariza was his usual versatile self during Sunday's win over OKC, putting up 12 points on 2-of-7 shooting (7-of-10 from the stripe), with nine rebounds, one 3-pointer, one assist, one steal and one turnover through 31 minutes of action.
Ariza isn't a consistent scorer, but his ability to offer a little bit of everything on the stat sheet is fantasy gold. He's been fantastic since the break, putting in averages of 13.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.5 three-pointers, and an elite 1.7 steals per game. Keep rolling him out there. Apr 5 - 4:24 PM

He's been awesome in his last six, averaging 17.5 points, 6.5 boards, 4.2 assists, 2.2 steals and 3.5 treys on 46.8 percent from the field and 85.7 percent from the line. Ariza's fantasy owners have to be loving this production at the right time and he's also really helping the Rockets. He's been a top-20 player in that span.
Apr 2 - 11:53 PM

Trevor Ariza hit 8-of-16 shots and six 3-pointers for 22 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals in Wednesday's win over the Kings.

Ariza had hit just 13-of-36 shots over his last three games, but hit 9-of-13 for 22 points in the game before that. Despite the shaky shooting at times, Ariza's steals and 3-pointers make up for it.
Apr 1 - 11:57 PM

Trevor Ariza was his usual multi-category self during Sunday's win over the Wizards, posting 13 points on 3-of-9 shooting (5-of-5 from the line) to go with eight rebounds, two 3-pointers, two assists, two steals and four turnovers through 38 minutes of action.

Ariza is logging heavy minutes for the Rockets on a nightly basis, and his ability to fill up every category on the stat sheet while offering elite steals totals has him turning in early-round value on the season. Get ready for him to put on a show during the Rockets upcoming four-game week.
Mar 29 - 4:27 PM

Trevor Ariza was fantastic against the Pelicans during a 95-93 win on Wednesday, making 9-of-13 from the field for 22 points with nine rebounds, five assists, three steals and three 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

That's his fourth game in his last five tries with at least four dimes and he's really stepped up as more than just a catch-and-shoot guy. In that span, Ariza averaged 15.0 points, 8.6 boards, 4.0 dimes, 1.8 steals and 2.4 treys on 55.8 percent from the field and 100 percent from the line. He's getting hot for his fantasy owners at the right time. James Harden was no slouch with 25 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.
Mar 26 - 1:48 AM

Trevor Ariza made 1-of-2 from the field for four points with 11 rebounds, one assist and two steals in 32 minutes against the Pacers on Monday.

It was a big surprise to see him not take many shots with his improved shooting lately, making 50.0 percent from the field in his last five. Ariza will likely get it going again soon and should be a mid-round player in standard leagues.
Mar 23 - 11:08 PM

Trevor Ariza (illness) and Patrick Beverley (elbow) will play against the Pacers on Monday.

He was questionable with an illness, but there was little doubt he would play after looking great on Saturday despite being listed as questionable for that game, as well. Ariza is a must-start player this week in all formats.
Mar 23 - 5:54 PM

Trevor Ariza (illness) is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Pacers.

Ariza was questionable coming into Saturday's game against the Suns with an illness, but he went off for 15 points, 12 boards, five assists, two steals and three triples. However, the fact he's still sick a couple days later is not a great sign, and the Rockets are extremely banged up in the frontcourt at the wrong time. If Ariza can't go, rookie K.J. McDaniels could get the call.
Mar 23 - 10:01 AM

Trevor Ariza looked healthy against the Suns on Saturday with 15 points, 12 boards, five assists, two steals and three 3-pointers.

It's obvious he'll be involved more in the offense now. Ariza is usually off the ball, but he's having one of his best runs with assists right now. He has a great chance to be a top-40 player this week and maybe even top 20 if he gets hot from deep.
Mar 21 - 11:48 PM

Trevor Ariza (illness) will play against the Suns on Saturday.

He's the only player on the Rockets to start every game for them this season. Ariza is usually a catch-and-shoot guy, but he may be asked to do more on offense with the Rockets missing Terrence Jones (chest). Start Ariza in all standard leagues.
Mar 21 - 6:32 PM

Trevor Ariza (illness) is expected to play against the Suns on Saturday.

He missed shootaround, but it doesn't sound like he's going to miss his first game of the season. With Terrence Jones (chest) out indefinitely, Ariza should have more offensive responsibility. He's worth starting in daily leagues tonight in what should be an up-tempo game.
Mar 21 - 5:57 PM

Trevor Ariza (illness) missed shootaround and is considered questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Suns.

Ariza has been on fire recently and has scored 17 or more points in each of his last three games, so it will be a huge blow for his owners if he is unable to give it a go. We should know more prior to tip-off, so his owners will want to be on alert for an update. If Ariza is unable to play, Corey Brewer would be in line for some extra minutes and would be worth a long look in daily leagues.
Mar 21 - 11:50 AM

Trevor Ariza scored 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting during Sunday's win over the Clippers, adding nine rebounds, three assists, two 3-pointers, one steal and four turnovers through 39 minutes of action.

Ariza was also a perfect 3-of-3 from the line, putting the cherry on top of a very productive outing for Houston's Swiss Army knife. Ariza isn't going to light up the scoring column on a nightly basis, but his ability to do a little bit of everything (while offering elite steals totals) has him turning in mid-round value on the season.
Mar 15 - 6:54 PM

Trevor Ariza scored 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting (3-of-6 from deep) vs. the Nuggets on Saturday, adding four boards, three assists, two steal and three 3-pointers in just 29 minutes.

This game was over in a hurry, so his owners shouldn't concern themselves with the low minutes. Ariza failed to score in double digits in his previous four games and was just 1-of-17 from 3-point range over that span, so his owners will be thrilled to see him break out of his funk.
Mar 7 - 11:59 PM

Trevor Ariza finished Sunday's overtime win over the Cavs with just four points on 1-of-4 shooting (2-of-2 from the line), but also added seven rebounds, three assists, four steals, two blocks and three turnovers.

Ariza spent much of the game guarding LeBron James, and was conversely guarded by James on offense, which resulted in a less than stellar offensive outing. However, he salvaged his line with his across-the-board contributions, and that's really where his value comes from anyway. Ariza is currently fourth in the league in total steals, and aside from tonight's outing, he's been on a tear since the All-Star break, knocking down 44.1 percent of his shots. Look for Ariza to be more involved in the offense during Tuesday’s showdown with the Hawks.
