Martell Webster exited Tuesday's game with a right knee injury after colliding with Jeremy Lin.

He tried to walk off the injury and stay in the game but Washington's training staff thought better, pulling him off the court and into the locker room. Webster does not have a history of knee injuries and may have suffered nothing more severe than a stinger, but we'll update his status once more details surface.
Jan 28 - 12:11 AM

Martell Webster acknowledged during a recent interview that he still has a ways to go before he returns to form.

"I’ve still got a little ways to go," Webster said. "Rhythm and timing are still a little bit off." Webster added that he's a bit leery with the physical aspect of the game after coming off his third back surgery in four years, and that he has to think twice before taking a charge. He's playing limited minutes off the bench, and as long as Bradley Beal is healthy, he won't be worth owning in most leagues.
Jan 9 - 9:51 AM

Martell Webster (back) made his season debut on Tuesday, shooting 0-of-4 from the field and 3-of-5 from the free throw line to finish with three points in 14 minutes of action.

He also grabbed one rebound and turned the ball over once, and this was a predictably shaky debut after a lengthy rehab from back surgery. His real-world impact for the Wizards is likely to be greater than his fantasy impact, and it will take a few injuries to thrust Webster into a fantasy-friendly role.

Martell Webster (back) was active but did not play on Monday.

We're moving him off the injury report and he will have his work cut out for him getting consistent minutes.

Martell Webster (back) is expected to be activated against the Rockets on Monday.

He will be eased in after missing the entire season to this point. Webster needed offseason surgery and has multiple back injuries in his career, so he'll likely have a minutes cap for a while. He will hurt Rasual Butler's output and is worth a look in deeper leagues.

Martell Webster (back) won't play on Saturday, but he could make his season debut on this upcoming road trip.

Following today, the Wizards are on the road until Jan. 7 when they'll play the Knicks at home. Webster is taking some contact at practice, but there's no rush to bring him back with Rasual Butler playing well. Webster is only a stash in deep leagues.

Martell Webster (back) will not play on Thursday vs. the Knicks.

He is reportedly making a lot of progress and should be able to return soon. However, Webster likely won't be in the rotation anytime soon and can be left on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Martell Webster (back) almost went through a full practice on Monday, but will not play on Tuesday.

It sounds like he has a chance to play in 2014. Otto Porter Jr. was a mild disappointment to start the year, so Webster should be on the radar for owners need 3-pointers. Rasual Butler would lose a big chunk of his value.

Martell Webster (back) will not play Sunday vs. the Suns.

Webster is nearing a return, but Sunday will not be the day. We'll consider him questionable for Tuesday's game vs. Chicago, but with Paul Pierce and Bradley Beal healthy, there's not much reason to give him any attention in standard leagues.

Martell Webster (back) could return to action as soon as Sunday against the Suns.

He has yet to play this season after coming off of his third back surgery in his career, so it will be great to see back out on the floor. He was seen getting up shots at practice on Saturday for a couple of hours, and he is reportedly feeling good. If he doesn't make his season debut Sunday, his next chance to play would be on Tuesday vs. the Bulls. However, Webster will likely be eased back into the rotation, and he won't see a lot of minutes while Paul Pierce and Otto Porter are healthy. Webster can be ignored in most leagues.

Martell Webster (back) is on schedule to return to action this month.

He is going to have a minutes limit when he is able to play. Webster is a tremendous fit for the Wizards and he flourished last season while Bradley Beal was out. He'll have to fend off Rasual Butler for playing time, so most owners can take a wait-and-see approach.

Martell Webster (back) practiced on Thursday, but was unable to participate in full.

Webster has been ramping up his rehab, but didn't participate in a full-court practice on Thursday so we're reading tea leaves as to when he'll return. Webster's eventual return will cut in the fantasy value of Paul Pierce, Rasual Butler and Otto Porter, but standard league owners can feel free to leave him on the waiver wire.

Martell Webster (back) was seen going through an intense workout after Friday's shootaround.

Head coach Randy Wittman said that Webster is "starting to do more and more each day," so it would seem he's getting close to making his regular-season debut. However, Webster is going to be coming into a backup role playing behind Bradley Beal, so he can only be viewed as a 3-point specialist in very deep leagues. Standard league owners can continue to leave him on the waiver wire.

Martell Webster (back) still isn't participating in full practices, but is doing more and more in attempt to come back by December.

"He's coming along," coach Randy Wittman said after Friday's practice. "He's doing more and more." While this is great to hear, there are no real fantasy implications here as Webster likely won't have a large enough role to matter in all but the deepest of leagues. We will monitor his status going forward, but you can safely leave him on your waiver wire.
