Ryan Gomes is unlikely to join the Bobcats training camp.

Gomes was expected to work out for the Bobcats this week, but it sounds like Charlotte wasn't thrilled with whatever they saw. Gomes will continue to look for a new team after the Clippers cut him loose in July.

Unrestricted FA Ryan Gomes is "expected" to work out for the Bobcats next week.

Gomes has really received no interest on the open market since being amnestied by the Clippers, but with the Bobcats continuing to search for veteran frontcourt help, Gomes could latch on in Charlotte. If signed, he won't have fantasy value.

Clippers waive F Ryan Gomes in order to sign G/F Grant Hill.

Hill will officially join the Clippers in the near future, while Gomes becomes the latest amnesty casualty. It was initially believed that Hill would join the Lakers, but he's now heading toward a crowded bench role, backing up some combination of Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, Chauncey Billups and Jamal Crawford for the Clippers.

Ryan Gomes admitted that he's in a "slump," but is working hard to improve.

Gomes was realistic about his dip in minutes saying that he is just not playing well right now. Gomes said that he's got to play with confidence rather than with a timid approach, but it's probably hard for him to do that knowing he could be yanked off the floor if he makes a wrong decision. He's averaging just 2.6 points on 33.7 percent shooting in 14 minutes per game.

Ryan Gomes started for injured Caron Butler (knee) on Friday, scoring 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting (including two threes) with six rebounds and one steal in 36 minutes.

Gomes is only worth a look for spot action if Butler remains out, and is prone to disappearing. Use him in that capacity at your own risk.

Ryan Gomes will start for injured Caron Butler (knee) on Friday against the Wolves.

Gomes is only worth a spot-start if you're desperate, as there is no real precedent for him being productive in his current role. The better play will be Mo Williams, as it's possible the Clippers will match up with the Wolves smaller unit by playing a three-guard lineup including Williams, Randy Foye, and Chauncey Billups. A quicker pace is theoretically expected, but this is lockout basketball so who knows.

He looks like a solid glue-guy for the Clippers, but isn't likely to have fantasy value as long as Caron Butler and Blake Griffin are healthy.

Ryan Gomes continues to have swelling in his knee and is likely to be shut down for the final games of the season.

"I'm going to think about it today. We've talked a lot lately and will see where he's at," Del Negro said. Gomes has been fighting off knee trouble for several months and had an MRI on the knee but it came back negative. Jamario Moon should continue to start in his place with Randy Foye also seeing extra time.

According to beat writer Lisa Dillman, Ryan Gomes (knee) is out on Wednesday against the Thunder, and it's unclear whether or not he'll play at all during the team's road trip.

He had been replaced by Jamario Moon in the starting five and was barely getting off the bench prior to his injury, so this news shouldn't impact your fantasy team.

Coach Vinny Del Negro said he is considering shutting Ryan Gomes (knee) down for the season.

Gomes has been battling tendinitis in his knee and may have lost his starting job to Jamario Moon anyway. The Clippers sorely need an upgrade at small forward next season.

Ryan Gomes (knee) will not play on Saturday against the Thunder, and Jamario Moon will start in his place.

We were hoping to see rookie Al-Farouq Aminu get the nod, but it could be the case that Vinny Del Negro wants to see what he has in Moon before the offseason. Either way, neither Moon or Aminu would be good plays in a spot-start with their anemic pasts.

Ryan Gomes played through a knee injury on Wednesday, but failed to score in 17 minutes.

He missed all three of his shots and Al-Farouq Aminu had five points, six boards, two steals and a block off the bench. With the Clippers out of the playoff race, it's possible they Gomes' job to Aminu to see what he can do. As for Gomes, he has no fantasy value when fully healthy.
