Date:

Johan Petro (wife having baby) is en route to Atlanta but it's unknown if he'll arrive in time for Monday's Game 4.

Tip-off tonight is scheduled for just after 7:30 p.m. ET. Petro is technically being called a game-time decision, but this situation is more up to timing than anything else. Even if Petro is available, it's unclear how much of a role he'll have beyond playing roughly 15 minutes.
Apr 29 - 4:56 PM

Johan Petro (wife having baby) skipped shootaround, and he'll be a game-time call vs. the Pacers.

It's not clear if the Hawks will utilize a starting lineup that involves Petro again if he's available, but he figures to play under 15 minutes if he does start for the second straight game.
Apr 29 - 10:59 AM

Johan Petro (wife having baby) is questionable for Game 4 vs. the Pacers.

Petro's wife is expecting their new baby on Sunday, but he's expected to be back for Game 4. We're going to sideline him in case he doesn't return in time, which was previously reported to be the case.
Apr 28 - 12:49 PM

Johan Petro returned to action on Tuesday with eight points and four rebounds in 21.5 minutes in Tuesday's loss.

Petro was away from the team earlier due to the birth of a new baby, but he's back in action just in time for the playoffs.
Apr 17 - 5:39 AM

Johan Petro (new baby) is back with the Hawks.

Petro will go back to the end of the bench now that he's rejoined the club.
Apr 11 - 12:45 PM

Johan Petro (wife having baby) will not play Wednesday against the Sixers.

Petro didn't travel with the team to Philadelphia and remains in Florida with his expectant wife. His absence shouldn't affect your fantasy league. Kyle Korver, on the other hand, rejoined the Hawks and will continue his 3-point barrage against the 76ers.
Apr 10 - 5:59 PM

Johan Petro (wife having baby) remains away from the team.

Petro's with his expectant wife in Florida, leaving his status for Wednesday against the Sixers up in the air. His availability shouldn't impact any fantasy leagues with Al Horford and Josh Smith healthy.
Apr 10 - 11:14 AM

Johan Petro did not practice on Monday because he and his wife are expecting a baby.

Congrats to the Petro family. The big man is coming off a career-high 15 rebounds in his last one and he should be available for Wednesday's contest vs. Philadelphia.
Apr 8 - 1:01 PM

Hawks center Johan Petro scored 11 points and tied his career-high with 15 rebounds in a fill-in start for Al Horford on Saturday.

Petro even chipped in a steal and a block in his 31 minutes, about as good a game as we could have hoped for from the eight-year veteran. Horford (hamstring) has until Wednesday to recuperate, which makes Petro a very dubious fantasy pickup.
Apr 6 - 11:15 PM

Johan Petro had six points, seven rebounds and one block in another start at center for the Hawks on Saturday.

He also dished out two assists in 18 minutes of action. Zaza Pachulia is done for the year with a partially torn Achilles, which guarantees Petro a role in the rotation, but his fantasy relevance will vanish once Al Horford (illness) returns.
Mar 30 - 10:19 PM

Johan Petro went to the locker room in the first quarter of Monday's game but would later return.

Petro played 17 minutes on Monday and managed just five rebounds and four missed shots. He doesn't have fantasy value in the vast majority of leagues.
Mar 25 - 7:40 PM

Johan Petro grabbed a season-high 11 boards with 10 points and two assists in Wednesday's 96-92 win over the Lakers.

He matched his season high in points and it was obviously his best game of the year. Petro has four DNPs in his last seven games, so his value will evaporate once Josh Smith can return to the lineup.
Mar 14 - 12:27 AM

Johan Petro had 10 points, six rebounds and zero blocks in his second consecutive start at center, logging 14 minutes in the Hawks' home loss.

Zaza Pachulia (Achilles) has no return date, but owners shouldn't get too comfortable with Petro as the starting center, which shifts Al Horford (15 points, 12 rebounds) to PF and Josh Smith (12 points) to SF. Larry Drew frequently changes his lineups on-the-fly and he'll probably lean toward small lineups vs. the Heat on Tuesday and the Suns on Friday.
Mar 9 - 9:44 PM

Johan Petro sounded off on his role with the Hawks this season, calling his experience "awful."

"It's just tough to be in that position," he said. "That's the business." He's played in less than a third of the Hawks games this season and is averaging 2.4 points to go along with 1.8 rebounds. An unrestricted free agent after the season, we think it's safe to say he won't be returning to Atlanta.
