Nate Robinson is hoping to return to the NBA next season.
Robinson has not been on an NBA roster since suiting up for two games with the Pelicans in October of 2015. Since then he has bounced around overseas and played in the D-League. Robinson has been active on social media recently, showing he still has plenty of life in his legs. However, it's unlikely he secures a spot in the NBA next season. Jul 22 - 11:34 AM

The Delaware 87ers announced they have acquired Nate Robinson.

He most recently played in Tel Aviv in 2015-16, averaging 16 points per game. Robinson did not look good the last time he was in the NBA, so he has some work to do in the D-League before he gets consideration to play in the big leagues.

The Delaware 86ers claimed Nate Robinson off waivers on Wednesday.

Robinson will be taking the D-League route as he attempts an NBA comeback, but even if he does earn a 10-day contract somewhere, it's unlikely he'll have any impact in fantasy hoops this season. Leave him on the wire.

Nate Robinson signed a D-League contract on Thursday.

Robinson has been telling anyone who will listen that he wants another crack at the NBA. With no team in the league willing to give him a chance, he is going to try and make his case in the D-League. Robinson will formally enter the D-League’s available player pool once his letter of clearance is approved. Nate played for Hapoel Tel Aviv last season. His last NBA experience was for the Pelicans in 2015-16.

Nate Robinson told SiriusXM NBA he wishes NBA teams would give him a fair chance to play again.

Robinson last made news in June when he expressed interest in playing in the NFL, but looks to be holding out hope for the NBA. The 32-year-old played in Israel last season and can be forgotten for fantasy purposes as he is unlikely to play in the NBA again.

Pete Carroll acknowledged that Nate Robinson will need to overcome some tough odds in order to make an NFL squad.

"I think it's all but impossible," Carroll said. "It's as hard as you could possibly get. He's 32 as well. I don't know if anybody could do it. But if anybody could, it might be Nate. He's that versatile an athlete and that great a competitor." It doesn't seem very likely that Robinson will be able to make an NFL squad, but he could still make money playing basketball, whether that's overseas or as a low-end backup on an NBA club. He won't be a fantasy option, though.

Nate Robinson will try out for the Seattle Seahawks as a defensive back on Monday.

He played cornerback at the University of Washington back in 2002 before he landed in the NBA. Robinson only lasted two games for the Pelicans to start last season while they had no depth and then he eventually went overseas. Robinson is 32 years old and is 5'9", so it won't be easy for him to land a job in the NFL.

Nate Robinson officially signed with Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Robinson will join Tel Aviv for the rest of the season and can be ignored by fantasy owners as we may not see the 31-year-old play in the NBA again.

The Pelicans waived Nate Robinson on Thursday.

Well, that didn't last long. Robinson was scoreless in the Pelicans' first two games, and Ish Smith has thoroughly outplayed him. Robinson can be dropped everywhere, and we will let you know if he gets a call from another team.

Nate Robinson did not take any shots in four minutes against the Blazers on Wednesday.

With Jrue Holiday back, Robinson moved to the background. Ish Smith has clearly passed him, which means it's time to cut bait.

Nate Robinson started at point guard for the Pelicans on Tuesday with Jrue Holiday (leg) sidelined, but played just 19 minutes, missed his only shot, and finished with zero points and three assists.

Ish Smith came off the bench and went off for 17 points and nine dimes, and may have passed Lil Nate in the process. If you own Robinson, dropping him for Smith might make sense, although Holiday isn't expected to be out for too long.
