Wolves veteran Ronny Turiaf made a rare start at C on Sunday, scoring four points with four rebounds and zero blocks in 14 minutes.

Turiaf's unit won a scrimmage on Saturday, so coach Flip Saunders rewarded them with the starting assignment. The blue-collar big man is a non-entity in fantasy leagues, but it's great to see him healthy after a difficult 2013-14 campaign.
Oct 19 - 10:15 PM

Ronny Turiaf is spending his offseason as a summer intern with an ad agency in Minnesota.

Turiaf is coming off a 2013-14 season during which he averaged 4.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 31 total games. He can be a valuable fantasy asset in deeper leagues when healthy, but his health and a crowded Timberwolves' frontcourt should keep fantasy owners from investing any draft capital in the 31-year-old.
Aug 5 - 12:29 PM

Ronny Turiaf played 16 minutes in his return to the lineup on Wednesday, scoring 12 points with eight boards, one steal and three blocks.

He missed Monday due to a knee injury and was very effective in just 16 minutes. Turiaf turned in a better game than Gorgui Dieng, who had four points, seven boards, one assist and two blocks in 28 minutes. He has really struggled to stay healthy, but he's a solid second-unit big man.
Apr 16 - 11:43 PM

Ronny Turiaf is available to play against the Jazz on Wednesday.

His knee injury kept him out of the lineup on Monday and chances are he'll be limited tonight. It's been the Gorgui Dieng Show at center and he should have a big night in a great matchup.
Apr 16 - 8:16 PM

Ronny Turiaf did not play on Monday due to a right knee injury.

He's been dealing with a knee injury for most of the second half of the season and went down on Sunday, failing to return. The details of his injury on Sunday are not known, but he missed five weeks with a bone bruise to his right knee. It'll be Gorgui Dieng time on Monday.
Apr 14 - 10:44 PM

Ronny Turiaf exited Sunday's game with soreness in his right knee, finishing scoreless with two rebounds in four minutes.

Turiaf returned earlier in April after missing five weeks with a bone bruise in his right knee, so this is more than your average 'soreness'. The Wolves are playing for pride with two games remaining and there's a good chance that Turiaf is done for the season.
Apr 13 - 11:57 PM

Ronny Turiaf played 22 minutes in his return to the lineup on Wednesday, scoring 11 points with seven boards, two assists and three blocks.

He made all five attempts from the field and didn't look like a guy who has been out since Feb. 19. Turiaf is likely headed to the dreaded timeshare with Gorgui Dieng, so he's more of a low-upside player in deeper leagues.
Apr 3 - 12:51 AM

Ronny Turiaf (knee) will try to play against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

He's been out since Feb. 19 and there's no word as to how much Turiaf will play. He's been hurt quite a bit in his career and may take a back seat to rookie Gorgui Dieng tonight.
Apr 2 - 6:57 PM

The Wolves have not updated the status of Ronny Turiaf (knee).

There has been no word of him practicing just yet from his bruised knee and he could be out for the year for all we know. Gorgui Dieng should start for the foreseeable future.
Mar 24 - 7:06 PM

The Wolves expect Ronny Turiaf (bruised knee) to begin some limited work next week.

The veteran big man still has no clear return date, and with Nikola Pekovic back in action Turiaf has no fantasy upside even at full health.
Mar 11 - 6:57 PM

Ronny Turiaf (knee) had an MRI that revealed a right knee bone bruise. He will be sidelined indefinitely.

Turiaf has struggled with injuries throughout his career, so this is just another one he can add to the list. With both Turiaf and Nikola Pekovic (ankle) out Dante Cunningham and Gorgui Dieng should pick up some extra minutes, however most of the burden will fall upon Kevin Love to play heavy minutes.

Feb 23 - 8:46 AM

Ronny Turiaf (knee) could miss approximately three weeks, according to Flip Saunders.

He has a bone bruise in his right knee and it sounds like it's a very bad one. Turiaf has suffered a lot of serious injuries in his career and it's good news he didn't have another one on Wednesday. The Wolves will look to Dante Cunningham a little more while Turiaf and Nikola Pekovic (ankle) are out.
Feb 21 - 5:09 PM

Ronny Turiaf has a bone bruise in his right knee and does not have a timetable to return.

If it's just a bone bruise, Turiaf may have escaped a possible severe injury. There is no word on if this diagnosis was confirmed by an MRI, but it does sound like the center will miss some time. Dante Cunningham figures to pick up most of the slack until Nikola Pekovic can return. Gorgui Dieng will also pick up some scraps.
Feb 20 - 2:23 PM

Ronny Turiaf (knee) was not at practice on Thursday afternoon.

His knee injury on Wednesday night did not look good and he's likely going to have an MRI Thursday or Friday. Turiaf should be considered doubtful for Saturday and the possible return of Nikola Pekovic (ankle) makes him a candidate to cut even before the results of the MRI are known.
