Shavlik Randolph left Wednesday's finale with a sore lower back.
He had five points and four boards in 13 minutes, but don't look for him to see much action in the playoffs. As for his back, we're guessing it's nothing serious. Apr 17 - 9:29 PM

Shavlik Randolph was efficient in his 13 minutes of action in Friday's 97-91 loss to the Cavs, scoring 16 points with seven boards and one steal.

His 16 points were a season high and he got some extra burn with the Celtics missing Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett on Friday. As nice as this line was, it'll be tough for him to have any value in just 13 minutes.
Apr 5 - 11:36 PM

The Celtics officially signed Shavlik Randolph to a multi-year contract Thursday.

This was an expected move that will keep Randolph with the Celtics at least through the end of this season. He'll provide the team decent depth up front as they finish out the regular season and enter the playoffs.

Mar 21 - 3:30 PM

The Celtics are expected to sign Shavlik Randolph for the rest of the season.

No surprise here as Randolph's second 10-day contract is set to expire and the team wants to keep him for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs.
Mar 20 - 12:11 PM

Shavlik Randolph scored six points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds vs. the Bobcats on Saturday, playing more than 16 minutes off the bench.

Kevin Garnett's absence cleared extra playing time for Shavlik, who doesn't have fantasy appeal outside of the deepest leagues. The Celtics, by the way, have quietly won 11 straight home games dating back to late January.

Celtics sign F Shavlik Randolph to a second 10-day contract.

As expected, Randolph will remain at the end of the Celtics bench.
Mar 12 - 8:55 AM

The Celtics are expected to sign Shavlik Randolph to a second 10-day contract.

Randolph has not played a single second since he was signed to his first 10-day contract, so he's the definition of an insurance policy for Boston.
Mar 11 - 8:27 AM

Celtics sign F Shavlik Randolph to a 10-day contract.

The Celtics have inked Terrence Williams and D.J. White to 10-deal days after their season in China, and now Randolph. He'll be eligible to play immediately.

Mar 1 - 9:50 AM

Shavlik Randolph is seeking his letter of clearance from China and hopes to sign in the NBA in the "coming days," according to Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated.

Randolph was tearing it up in China, but no matter where he lands in the NBA, he's unlikely to be a major part of the team's rotation and will likely just be insurance at the end of the bench.
Mar 1 - 8:07 AM

Shavlik Randolph has signed a contract with Foshan Long Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Looks like it's back to China for the big man. Fantasy owners hopeful of Randolph finding NBA relevancy will have to wait another year.

Wizards signed F Shavlik Randolph to a non-guaranteed contract.

He'll be invited to training camp. Randolph worked out with a couple teams in March, but he couldn't find any takers. His last NBA stint was for three games at a 2.0 minutes-per-game clip in 2010 with Portland. The 28-year-old big man will not have any fantasy value this year.

The Kings worked out F Shavlik Randolph on Wednesday.

Randolph was not signed to a contract, but he just finished a season in China where he averaged 24.7 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. The Kings have an open roster spot, so it remains to be seen if Randolph will be offered a deal.

Shavlik Randolph recently worked out for the Miami Heat.

Miami is looking to add a big man and has recently also worked out Rasheed Wallace. If signed, Randolph would have zero fantasy value.

Shavlik Randolph is reportedly in "advanced negotiations" with a team in China.

Randolph would make "equal or greater than" the NBA veteran's minimum, which is a deal he'll probably take after being waived by the Heat last year and playing in Puerto Rico. He is expected to make his decision very soon.
